Ali is right about visiting the village as it gives a differenct perspective on Thailand rather than the tradditional tourist spots. Looking at the breakfast buffet I think its going to be X2 over the caravan.

BBQ dilemma ended up with a happy ending after all! Very upscale place and reasonably priced considering it came with wine and that delicious looking buffet. I would definitely stay here if I had a group with me. Looks private and quiet too.
That's what I enjoyed in 2020 when I was there for 9 months. After the first lockdown I found plenty of things of to do that I normally wouldn't have done like make friends with a bunch of expats working there and getting invited to a thai wedding.
It seemed to be a good distance to the beach. Most important is that your group enjoyed their time. It is a different concept to have a hotel with villas. I doubt I will try the hotel idea at x2, but they did have service. A suite in a 5 star hotel usually meets my needs, but you did have a splash pool. Enjoy life and thanks for the videos. They are always a treat!

Ok Lucas... real sausage instead Thai style ( hot dogs)... so... even though not related to the amount of people at the villa... there was a Buddha holiday observed (We’d/Thu) this week. One of my girls works at a new restaurant whose busy usually on the weekend but this week had some big middle of the week traffic. Have a safe trip Ali. Lucas... you made his visit top notch , in my opinion,..... and I think he’s has a stake in a pub over here also.... he ll be back..
Wednesday was a big buddha day, no alcohol sales etc. But to my knowledge Thursday into Friday was not, but could of had an impact on visitors I suppose. I arrived around lunch time and there was nobody there, I don't think they did as much business on Wednesday night, which but I could be wrong.
There's several onsen in Japan that have an option to get buried in the volcanic sand there that supposedly have therapeutic effects. Not sure about a beach in Thailand, though, lol. Thanks for bringing us along on another adventure! :)
You are without a doubt one if the best fellas on TH-cam. I live in vung tau Vietnam, it’s kind if the hua hin of Vietnam. Wish I could come riding out with you guys and wish you guys could come riding out here in Vietnam. Hopefully after covid is eased up a bit and international travel is easier.
