I am Polish, leaving in North Carolina. In the 90s I spent 5 years in Yorkshire. I wach everything you post. It is 10pm here and I just finished painting this beautiful spring woods alongside with you. Learning tons from you!!! Thank you and Gail A
I know you both banter about the videoing but it really is good as we get to see both close ups of your brush strokes and your mixing etc at the same time as the great commentary. Seeing how you handle the brushes on the paper and pallet makes the videos really helpful. Thanks for sharing.
(This is meant to be something like a virtual postcard to say thank you to you and your wife.) Continued success. All the best. Stay healthy. Happy Springtime! ☀🌈 ♥
Very good demonstration with an attractive final result. You spend a lot of time on d 1:43 etails which attenuate the punch. I wander how would you paint the same or similar scene outdoors in the fields where you may not have the same amount of time. Give it a try please.
Poor Gail being blamed for everything. She's got spring fever😂. Good to see you back on here doing a tutorial. You are such a pleasure to watch and listen to.
We love you, Gail!!! Well…ok…you, too, Charles! Thanks so much for your wonderful instruction! Every time I see your palette, I’m amazed! 😂! Thanks, again… I am a proud owner of your books, as well!
Love this. You're a wonderful artist and I love your paintings. The Sycamore at Hadrian's wall was so important to me, [and a bit teary]. Thank you . AND you're funny!
Recently tried my first landscape from your book watercolors in a weekend. I was so happy with how it turned out, and now I discovered your youtube channel - your videos are so fun.
It's not being 'told what to paint' - it's 'getting a commission'. Thanks for sharing this Charles. Always look forward to you releasing another tutorial
Just to say I love watching you paint, you make it look so easy. I get so stressed as I don’t find it that easy myself, I have a picture in my mind how I want it to look but it usually ends up a mess.
Great timing on this video. Though I live in the states and have very close friends who live in Northamptonshire. I am trying to compose a painting from a photo of a park situated close to their home that has a great spread of bluebells and many, many trees at multiple distances. You have helped me immensely with this video. I am now debating whether to paint in Acrylic or watercolor. P.S. Don't let the age of 70 disturb you. I am 71 and just now getting to spend time on painting. You have been a great motivator for me.
Thank you Charles and Gail; your video was very helpful and knowing you just used four brushes. I enjoyed your humorous comments. Thank you for sharing!😊
Come on charles love your water colour stuff,I keep looking to see if you've put some new water colour videos on TH-cam but nope😩😦 come on treat us fans to some more water colour paintings😊😊😊
I cannot thank you enough for the outstanding instruction you have presented. As usual, you make it easy for this old timer to understand the techniques you employ. I would very much like to try some of the materials that you use in your demonstrations. Do you ship to the U.S.?
@@charlesevans7706 Thank you. By the way. Nana (as noted on the address) is my wife. You have no idea how much better you have made my retirement years. V/R Richard
Love the banter. How about showing yourself Gail?? It would be nice to put a face to the voice !! Trees are my bug bear but I am always intrigued at how easy you make them look. Practice, practice, practice 😊
Spettacolare Charles 👏👏👏 davvero bellissimo... Ho visto che togli il colore asciutto in un modo facilissimo... Ma la carta che usi è di cotone? Tutte le carte di cotone che ho usato il colore non viene via così facilmente... Buon tutto e creazioni
That's a gorgeous painting in the background, too - got a video of that? Excuse my greed..... I really wanted a watercolour demo right now, because having taken a break from it, I'm nervous about a re-match - it's not the same as oil painting, by a long way. I've also produced a couple of duds in acrylic, so a few more acrylic demos would be good, too. No pressure....

Thank you for your wonderful teaching. If you want to add more humor just turn on the closed captions. Lizard room crimson! I nearly died laughing!
Ahahaha.
Is this wood pulp/cotton paper?
Pulp
Dont stand for him gail , get your own back clean his pallet when hes not looking 😅😅😅 lovely my kind of painting charles
She wouldn’t dare!!
The palette gives me anxiety.😅
😂
Charles, my sister, and I love your paintings but often laugh at the little stubby pencil you draw with. 🤣
Better control when within the hand.
I see! @@charlesevans7706
I noticed you drew the trees from the bottom up (direction of growth) but painted from the top down. Is there a reason for this? Robert.
Doesn’t matter for the painting, just the drawing.
Thank you for the suggestion Gale, and for the painting Charles.
Ahahaha, you’re welcome.
I feel for the long-suffering Gail 😊
She’ll survive.
I've often forgotten to press the record button too. Sometimes in the middle of a painting😂 and cried I've cried my eyes out
Ooh dear. Never worth crying about!
