Thank you so much. I have learnt such a lot from your videos and your little book. The softening technique especially has made a lot of difference to my paintings.
Now living in Noosa Queensland, I am thoroughly enjoying your paintings of my native Northumberland. I’m picking up a lot of tips too. Thank you for sharing your expertise with us all. It is very much appreciated.
This is just lovely ! Painted it alongside and I am very happy with my painting. Thank you for your teaching. Learning a lot from you, I try to paint everything you post, love your style of painting and teaching.
My favourite so far. Almost feel like I could possibly attempt this, but I'm afraid of too many mistakes. Going to attempt it anyway. Just amazing art, I've never been so into watercolour as what I am now, it's definitely your influence. Thanks Charles, really enjoyed.. 👏🍷
Well I started viewing this video several times but watched it through this morning. Very nice! I may try this one next. Not long ago I purchased the four brush set and the sky washes really began to work out. Previously I did not have a brush as wide as the 1.5” wash brush. This really carries the needed amount of water and color. Months ago I looked at several art supply websites and thought that I would need all those brushes and gadgets. Really cool to see only eight colors and four brushes are all that’s needed. Thank you for teaching me to paint although at a great distance, learning this has been a real pleasure.
well, I've watched this video THREE times, love the subject and the teacher! messed up in watercolors as I don't use them, am trying to adapt for acrylics, I will master this, it's a wonderful painting.
I really love this one, Charlie. I rarely copy other people's work but I think I'm going to have a go at this. I'm always nervous about buildings. . I'd like to say, for the benefit of others that I bought your pocket book and it now lives on my painting table. Loads of tips, helpful mixes and well worth the price. Also, brilliant service even in these tough times -- even quicker than Amazon! So thanks [to Gail?] for that as well. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Charles, another amazing painting ! I did this one today, it took me about 2 hours to complete it as I need to keep pausing the video. I love the way you showed us how to paint the details, I really enjoy painting with you , you are a wonderful teacher !!
Thanks Charlie and Gail. Really appreciate you doing this lovely painting in real time. I suck at buildings. A whole row of them I could really muck up. So I may abbreviate the number of houses. You gotta have balls of brass to complain about such high quality free art lessons. Geesh. I don't do acrylics but enjoy watching the demo/lesson as well.
