@marcaswebb4917 , I wanted to do that in the 1960s as a protest against the Vietnam War. ( Many moons and political parties ago.) I was working part time @ $2.40 an hour ,so it wouldn't have made a big dent in the federal budget.😅 Then I found out that Joan Baez was fined for her failure to pay taxes, so I gave up on my little tax protest. Unfortunately, we would need a large number of people to participate. I don't think we would have a majority. We can't even get all the Republicans to do something that is legal, voting! People that uncommitted don't have the guts to something illegal.

This woman is scary. What is not made clear in these hearings is that the Dept of Labor under her leadership is attempting to establish minimum wages for SALARIED employees. In addition, her department has made a new rule which goes into effect on July 1 2024 which essentially indexes the mandated minimum wage for exempt/salaried employees which are automatically adjusted every three years. A similar scheme was declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court some years ago due to being beyond the scope of an administrative agency. This is a bold attempt to grab legislative power contrary to administrative law principles and an established prohibition by the Supreme Court. She has no respect for the law. Shame.

I find Judge Jackson to have been an excellent choice. She's had more actual experience from the bench...then any of the other crows and it shows!

As retired Air Force that worked in Civil Engineering for over 25 years, I Understand why Davis-Bacon wages were instituted. I’ve seen contractors try to use “general construction workers” to pay them less when journeyman should be doing the work. When you have an average worker doing electrical work, things get missed or done wrong. Contract Inspectors don’t always see the work being performed and push deadlines rather than make sure work is performed properly. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to Fix a contractor’s mistake After the contract.

It helps to prevent the use of lower-paid non-local labor to undercut local workers.
Not all states have implemented the Davis Bacon Act. Only 32 have.

@user-anc123 please tell me how her policies, especially around those concerning Independent contractors losing that status overnight is a good thing? Especially when pointed out that it would only put more of a burden on the taxpayer? Also, yes I do not believe she is qualified. She was denied by the Senate twice in the 13 months she's obtain the position by way of succession. By technicality, yes she has a right to her job, but she has proven she is inept many times. Giving indirect answers to yes or no questions, filibustering almost every Repiblican that questions her, and she seems to only answer questions that were not asked.
