Douglas I have appreciated your vids and am now considering finding a Tracker to use as a TOAD and then enjoy the surrounding area. I have found one with manual transmission, manual hubs, 4 cyl, and no power steering. Are any of those problematic? Looks to be in decent shape.
I know that the guys over at zukiworld.com have ran one in some offroad races. Last time we were together they were talking about wanting to do it again.
The roof rack is a factory option. I was lucky to find this one. I do not currently know of any company that makes racks for the sidekick and trackers. I would not recommend the soft top I have. I would go with something better quality like a Bestop.
These things are great. A spacer lift will clear 31s and that size doesnt rob too much power on the road. I run 35s on my offroad tracker and it does trails fine.
I am planning to add the reduced transfer case gears to my wheeler soon to help turn the tires in 4wd. Considering doing it to the rig in this video also.
One of the issues with these little rigs is that prices are all over the place. If you are a little handy it's not hard to modify these rigs and build one yourself. On the other hand you can not add less miles.
I have wheeled my other tracker on 29", 31", 33", and now 35" tires Understanding the weak points and having a skid plate go along ways. Check out my front 3rd member swap video and you will see how it held up.
Do you have any durability concerns from running bigger tires like that? I have a 2dr Sidekick on 235/75r15 (29”), and I want to try some bigger tires (likely 31s, maybe a bit bigger), but I’m worried about how well the axles are going to take that.
I ran these 33s on my offroad tracker for about 2 years and didn't break anything. That rig now has 35s. The axles may have wore out quicker than normal but I have only changed them once in 5 years of wheeling that rig.
Trash Panda Offroad Trash Panda Offroad Trash Panda Offroad Ah, I see. It’s good to know that these will hold up to that, thank you! Oh, and do you run any sort of locker(s) in your off-road rig? And do you think the 33s are all that much better than 31s? I really appreciate you taking time to read through my questions, I’ve had a tough time finding much definitive info on these things.
For street use 31 is better. The 33 is too big and you really notice the power loss. If you contact me on Instagram I can do my best to answer any questions you have. @trashpandaoffroad

Awesome 👏🏻 you are convincing me to work on my 94 Geo Track
Good. These things are the best. That's why I have so many.
I love those trucks, it was my father's first off-road and I want to repair it so that it looks the same as yours 🔥🔥🔥

Glad to hear. Keep me updated on your progress.

Nope. That's the right set up.
I miss my Trackers...makes me want to start a racing series for geos and suzukis XD

Greetings .
How and from whom can I buy a roof rack and a softop like yours?
Are you willing to send me links to the appropriate sellers?

Where did you get the body roof rack!?
Got a geo tracker for parts that already had it on. There are lots of videos about it on the channel.
Are these things good for most day to day off roading on a stick 4 banger engine?
These things are great. A spacer lift will clear 31s and that size doesnt rob too much power on the road. I run 35s on my offroad tracker and it does trails fine.
Trash Panda Offroad do you think those low gear transfers make up for the lack of horsepower for those bigger climbs?
Trash Panda Offroad I’m looking at one right now with a lift and 31s and a rebuilt engine with 61k for 6k

Man I feel ya. Just this morning the CEL started blinking on my daughter's x-90. Grrrr.
Do you have the stock aluminum front differential o did you swap to the steel one?
Still running aluminum. If I come across a steel one its gonna go in the wheeler.
Thanks i was afraid to upgrade to 31’ in my 95 cause the aluminum

@@trashpandaoffroad3548 make another video with the 35" tires
This week part one of our Elbe Hills video will get posted. That's the first time we take the Trash Panda out with the 35s.
Do 10 in 15 wheels will work on A tracker
You may have to run spacers depending on the back spacing, but they can be made to fit.
