you also forgot a point for price get that thing on 32s or 33s, toss in the 100$ SUZSAM locker and the 100$ spacer lift and do it again the bottom of the frame is already completely flat, it's very easy to build a full belly pan skid plate if you wanted to do it
Haha. Love watching Jeep owners drive down a little dirt road and call it an offroad trail lol (moab guy here driving an old gmc). Truth told, however, that tracker is really cool.
You did the Geo dirty. Putting it up against vehicles with bigger tires. The things you kept high centering on were the axle. Bigger tires would solve that problem, I bet it would be much better after that.
I’m not a car guy, and I’ve never been off-roading. But watching you guys have such a good time out there together, really makes me think it’s something should try! Thanks for the fun video! That Tracker is a beast!
The outcome would have been totally different if the driver was a seasoned Geo/Suzuki driver even if stock. Tip for the ride quality. They only weigh 2300 lbs. so only run the tires at 20 25 on road and 10 to 15 off.
So many repairs to do on the Geo chassis and body; do you think you'll ever work through them? I've been working through my 97 MK1 Vitara here in the UK and it's been a mission. They always rust in the same places, mostly where the bodywork lap joints are spot welded and not seam sealed. Do keep us posted.👍
I had a 94 four door sidekick. I also manage to high center the rear diff. Since I used it as a daily driver to. I never bothered putting a lift kit on it. But, I could see it was needed.
As a recent sxs owner this all looks like a chill trail. I went the budget route and bought a 2012 kawasaki teryx4 for 4k with 1500 miles. It is a beast. I can go places I would never take my nice 4x4 truck.
That's awesome. There was a big SXS event going on at the other side of the park. From what everyone said that's where the rough trails are. Pretty cool place though.
If you do transfer case gears plan on a lift and bigger tires. The Suzuki transfer case has a reduction in it even in 2 wd. It is not a 1:1 input to output like most transfer cases. I run a 4.9 case in my Samurai and that allows me to do 70 mph with 32" tires and an 8 valve motor out of a sidekick.
Looks like we didn't even get to see half of that place after looking at the map. Hopefully next time we can explore more of the North side of that place. Pretty awesome either way.
It wouldn't be a budget build on this channel if the maiden voyage didn't require some type of tow. In this case, though, it was a temporary tow rather than back to the drawing board, so absolutely the Tracker was the winner.
Hootenanny is an old Appalachian slang word in the gist of Doohickey, Thingamabob , Whatchamajigger etc... Hootenanny was used instead of the actual word Pfannkucken. The event Hootenanny is a folk music festival.
Hey so I have been enjoying your GEO tracker videos I had one and just a couple of things that you could try your tires suck stock road are not off-road try 29s or 30s cold air intake too and fix the rust and make a skid plate
Was originally a truck driver thing using rubber ducks and other toys to show lot-lizards they liked children.. Allison seen a tow behind with them and thought it was cute... 😅
Before you gear that bad boy lower, lift it and put in a lunchbox locker on the rear for sure and consider it on the front. Also, tires are your friend... don't skimp on tires.
There's a fine line between wheeling and driving down a dirt road and you're driving on it. BTW, be very careful! This is how rock crawlers are born. First it's a small lift, then next thing you know you've got a garage full of fab tools and a $25,000 Toyota axle swapped, caged tdi Geo 😳
I think the tracker would have done better with a lift and and some taller tires. Edit Years ago i had a neighbor that had tracker she stripped the hard top off of it and welded a wall in it turned it into a little truck. put big ol 30 something in. tall mud tires on it. it looked cool but the mud tires were to much for it little thing couldnt go 50 M.P.H. in it anymore
i love how the geo tracker turned out. a slight lift and it would have done just fine
you also forgot a point for price
get that thing on 32s or 33s, toss in the 100$ SUZSAM locker and the 100$ spacer lift and do it again
the bottom of the frame is already completely flat, it's very easy to build a full belly pan skid plate if you wanted to do it
^this one gets it
Thanks for the feedback! Good point on the skid plate between the frame. We'll keep working on it for sure.
Haha. Love watching Jeep owners drive down a little dirt road and call it an offroad trail lol (moab guy here driving an old gmc). Truth told, however, that tracker is really cool.
Yep definitely not the toughest trails but still pretty fun. Moab looks awesome! Maybe one day.
You did the Geo dirty. Putting it up against vehicles with bigger tires. The things you kept high centering on were the axle. Bigger tires would solve that problem, I bet it would be much better after that.
I can't help it..... First!
Should name your tracker ducky and put it on the dash of your friends jeep 😉
Thanks for the feedback. I need to figure out something to stick on their dashes.
Just needs a puck lift, crown vic rear shocks, and 31s and you’ll be alright.
Lockers would definitely help though
Indeed...
Thanks for the tips. I found lockers for the thing. We'll keep working on it!
I’m not a car guy, and I’ve never been off-roading. But watching you guys have such a good time out there together, really makes me think it’s something should try! Thanks for the fun video! That Tracker is a beast!
Thanks for the feedback! We're having fun with the Tracker for sure.
Small budget lift, 32” pizza cutters, homemade skids, and a locker. I’d wheel it.
Thanks for the feedback! We'll keep working on it for sure.
i don't do any of the stuff i see in this channel. but it's still my favorite channel.
Thanks for the feedback as always! I'm still learning this TH-cam thing but trying my best.
Those babies are tough! Better tires and driver for the next !
The outcome would have been totally different if the driver was a seasoned Geo/Suzuki driver even if stock. Tip for the ride quality. They only weigh 2300 lbs. so only run the tires at 20 25 on road and 10 to 15 off.
+1 on the tire pressure, my door placard says 24 psi, and after having the tires at 30 for a while, I can tell you makes the ride significantly nice.
I disagree where talking ifs vs straight axle. No flex with ifs
@@johnder8120 None of those trails required 💪.
Thanks for the tips. I dropped the tire pressure some, but definitely not enough. We'll keep at it for next time.
Go Speed Tracker! Go!
Crazy you mention Lake Texoma lol I live like 10 minutes from there 😅
What this baby 4*4 lacks in size and power it more than makes up for in heart and Moxey...lol Love it!!!

I had a 94 four door sidekick. I also manage to high center the rear diff. Since I used it as a daily driver to. I never bothered putting a lift kit on it. But, I could see it was needed.
I had a Geo Tracker when they 1st came out. I wish they still made them as an alternative to a Jeep. lol
You know why these Geo Trackers do so well, they are basically an update on the old Army Jeep design for modern use.
Source for that? I’d love to learn more.
@@ebbiketrip2497There is no source. It's complete bullshit

Bought my first wife one of these. Oddly it was the same yellow. Anyways, it was a fun little ride.
That's awesome! I can confirm they are still fun even all these years later.
you need a set of skid plates and a slight larger set of tires
I had a tracker with a 4 inch lift and 31 inch super swampers. It went everywhere I miss it constantly. I do have a jeep now tho lol
That's awesome that you owned one. I'm glad they are still out there and we found one. Even though it's rusty we are having fun with it.
Love how you gave this little guy new life. Looks like a Barbie jeep. I think you should call it Barbie
Thanks we're having fun with it for sure!
I’ve owned 89 99 and a 08 Wrangler and i like jeeps but ….ill take a Tracker any day. I can walk jeeps on trails with mine. They are great off roaders
We are having a blast with that little thing. pretty fun so far.
"That's not a rust hole, that is a bladder relief access hole"!

Thanks for the feedback! That's awesome on the Samurai. Those things are badass.
Looking at the hood seeing that yellow and purple makes me think of starburst 🍬
That's about how the color ended up
i been waiting for this vid!
Few hundred bucks and you'll keep up with those guys just fine
Thanks we are having fun with it. We'll keep at it.
Ya'll did the baby stuff out there a Crossbar. It is a fun place to go off roading.
Looks like we didn't even get to see half of that place after looking at the map. Hopefully next time we can explore more of the North side of that place. Pretty awesome either way.
some beefier tires and a half inch lift is all the room you need on that thing.
lift it, better tires and some armor. Oh and fix the body holes lol
It wouldn't be a budget build on this channel if the maiden voyage didn't require some type of tow. In this case, though, it was a temporary tow rather than back to the drawing board, so absolutely the Tracker was the winner.
Thanks for the feedback! Yep definitely was glad we didn't blow the thing up on the maiden voyage, it did pretty good.
You should have added 5 points for MPG. Many Wranglers get 15-19mpg, that style of Tracker got like 25-30mpg.
you can go anywhere as long as you know where the tires are and when to steer.
It should have come with cup holders behind the drive shifter.

Appalachian Mountain & Blue Grass Music Festival was too much to say... so Hootenanny it was.
My 97 does just fine on the highway. You're just not going to be hitting 100mph lol. Perfectly streetable.
That's good to hear. Everyone has been commenting about the good gas mileage too. Thanks for the feedback!
No sir,you forgot the "fun factor"!! Tracker wins!!
Hey so I have been enjoying your GEO tracker videos I had one and just a couple of things that you could try your tires suck stock road are not off-road try 29s or 30s cold air intake too and fix the rust and make a skid plate
Thanks for the feedback! Tires are definitely on the list soon.
The Jeep clowns stole the ducks from the MINI folks. We're the originator, they're the imitator!!!
Was originally a truck driver thing using rubber ducks and other toys to show lot-lizards they liked children.. Allison seen a tow behind with them and thought it was cute... 😅
When I was in high school my friend had a 2 door tracker and I had a YJ. That tracker would out wheel the YJ easily
That's awesome! We are having fun with it for sure. I'm sure the YJ was still fun though.
need bigger tires & lift
Yessir that's on the todo list. Thanks for the feedback!
I bought 1993 tracker, mint condition this summer. Got a 3D file for cupholders, if you want me to send it to you
That's awesome on the 93! If you think about it you can email it over to workwithus@motiv8labs.com.
honestly well it would take a bit more work I think the tracker looks way more fun than the jeeps out there
Before you gear that bad boy lower, lift it and put in a lunchbox locker on the rear for sure and consider it on the front. Also, tires are your friend... don't skimp on tires.
Thanks for the feedback! I found the lockers for the front and the rear. Adding all of that to the list.
Too bad when you did the body work trimming the fenders for bigger tires wasnt part of the equation.
Yessir bigger tires are definitely on the todo list now
Mommy, can you tell me the story of the little tracker that could again?
I don't know honey, once it gets going, it hard to stop.

@@Motiv8Labs worth it if you can afford it. Loved the video, even watched it in normal speed lol.
@@Motiv8Labs you build it, well take you up some cool trails on the west side 🤙🏻
*I don't understand why you put so much work in this truck, and finally let someone else ride it when it's time to enjoy it*
4" lift i objedziesz te Jeepy
I think my 1988 lincoln town car has more grown clearance besides front crossmember lower a arms attach to.
Lol yep it definitely needs a lift and and some bigger tires, you probably could have made it through all the trails we went through in the Lincoln.
I would have spent more money on the mechanicals on this GEO and no money on repainting it.
I think the tracker would have done better with a lift and and some taller tires. So negative 5 for the Tracker...
And negative $800 bucks a month for the Jeeps.
Are you Pete Bootyjudge's brother?
Experienced Tracker owner and Wheeler, I'd take that trip all day long. Trackers are the 💩💩!!!
yea, you can look at Rock Auto, but never purchase. I had the same experience with them. They will just flat out send you the incorrect part.
If you're showing up to an off-road event in a Geo tracker then you cannot claim ghetto on anybody else's rig
fair point!
