I revisited your videos on Taal again. In those you explained why the cycle begins with Sum and also ends on Sum. Earlier I was intrigued by thinking the Avartan should have completed before the next Sum appears. Now I think I have understood why the Sum has be pronounced to show completion of cycle. We count time in units like seconds or minutes. If we don't have any periodic process to observe or to hear, time is not countable. Our experience is of continuity of flow of time. The unit or maatra in language of music appears to me the basic unit of time like second in a ticking clock. This unit has a begining as well as an end. When we represent a maatra by a sound in Bol, that sound also has a begining and end, but that duration is not equal to Maatra. Maatra is the time interval from the start of the Bol followed by silence till the next Bol begins. That instant is just the partiton between the previous Maatra and next Maatra and that transition between silence and sound is at the start of the next Bol. The Avartan of Taal begins with Sum and ends just when silent part of the earlier Maatra ends and that falls on the beginning of next Sum.
Bohot dilchasp aur jankari bhara lessons hain. Iss mein Jo terms k name hain woh kis language k hotay hain aur unka meaning kya hota hai. Example k kleay KHANDD ko lein tou iska meaning hissa ya piece ya joint etc samajh mein ata hai magar sure nhi hota. Thanks
Anuja ji kuch aur geet bataiye "meed"se sambandhit aur jinme "meed"ata hai unhi me iska prayog hota ya apne hisab se bhi hum use kar sakte hai aur kaise.
Ati Sundar mam Lyakari aur chhand ko ek hi taal me alag prakar se Layakari kaise karen kripya is vishay me bhi tutorial banane ki kripa kijiye. Dhanyavad Mam
I regularly listen to ANUL'S programs and enjoy immensely. All the term she uses to explain her knowledge are in Bengali/Pali, but she thinks they are Hindi/Urdu. This is much like Mamta worshiping Durga and not Ram.
