    Your explanations of spring and its connections to the music are really wonderful. This traditional song I know about because my mum is a fan of Bilqees Khanam and she sang a popular version of this song sometime in the 1960s. Growing up my mum would often listen to this song. Another favourite was Anokha ladla by Bilqees Khanam

    The best thing one could say as an artist/musician is what you ended your video with "don't shame anybody's choices and preferences with regard to music". Kudos for that. You're an amazing singer and an even better teacher. ❤

    • @AnujaK20
      @AnujaK20  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for acknowledging this!
      Earlier, I myself thought that just because I have learnt classical music, my choices in music are the best and I would shame other people for the music they like.
      Now I realise how wrong I was.
      So this statement is also a reminder for myself that everyone's music choice is unique and it's beautiful because their personal story is attached to it! 🌱

    Behen ji, aapki aawaz sunkar ekdum emotional ho gyi. Ekdum dil se aapke saath gaane ka dil karne laga.
    Learning classical music for several years was one of the best things and I'm truly thankful to my mother for giving me this opportunity.
    It's been sone time since I stopped with the music lessons however I still try to recognise the raags used in some songs... I was ecstatic when I was able to correctly guess raag bahar in sakal ban and raag vrindavani sarang in sayiyan hato jaao...though with the help of old music class notes
    Your voice is truly mesmerizing...requesting more raags sung in your voice...eg:- raag miya malhar, raag darbari kanhara, etc
    Thank you so much for your efforts and your content!!
    Ps:- Raag malhar gives off the feeling of longing for something....at times i find myself humming the bandish of this raag..raag Miya malhar ...
    Your interpretation is truly amazing and made me feel closer to music than ever.

    Nice to see you back!
    This episode was particularly interesting for me, because being more familiar with Miyan Malhaar (the n D N S' phrase for example is one of the few phrases my ears can identify) I was pretty sure that this Amir Khusro bandish was a Malhaar, but when I looked it up, all sources said it was Bahaar, totally confounding me (I'm more familiar with Basant-Bahaar than Bahaar). I'll have to stop claiming that I can identify Miyan Malhaar and the malhaar family now. Thanks for this informative piece!
