When i open add printer my printer manufacturer does not show up then when i click windows update it justs loads forever and never stops

This installs a standard driver - I would see "Alternate" to mean a different driver. I am looking for a non HP driver to drive an HP printer (as HP are restricting customers use of other brand ink via their driver/management system).

Hi MDTech, Thanks for your wonderful videos. I have HP Officejet 4630 printer, i have tried several times to install the Hp printer assistant without a success, I have uninstalled the driver several times ,still no luck. could you pls advice on how to solve this problem. Thanks.
I need to find a way with a HP officejet 7680 I couldn't find a 7500 or 7600, I'm trying to use a 7650 but this driver keeps getting stuck midway. Any advice much appreciated.
My sincere thanks as Microsoft caused me to uninstall much of my Printer Features on the grounds of saving disc space. Not clever of me to allow MS to do this on my PC which was updated regularly, although my Printer Software was for Windows 7.

What if all the lights are blinking?(on/off button, paper, ink) Printer's new/haven't use until around this time. (HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2060) I was able to make it work and print for a couple of times on the same laptop before but just one day it stopped printing and scanning too. Inks are full btw. I thought that maybe it's the cable so I bought a new one but it's still not working. I was able to follow your tutorial until printer properties, can't find what is need in the port.
Whenever I print status would be on pending and says error-printing
