Drag Races in 32 different racing games (NFS, Forza, Test Drive, The Crew and more)

- Back in 2017 I posted a video showing drag races in 8 different racing games, which became the first video on my channel to reach 1 million views. Now it is finally time for an updated and expanded version of that video, this time showing a total of 32 (!) different games, featuring Need for Speed, Forza, Gran Turismo, Test Drive, The Crew and more.
This is the biggest drag racing gameplay compilation on TH-cam and the video with the biggest number of different games on my channel so far. And I didn't even use any games that are specifically about drag racing and as usual I also didn't include any mobile games. All 32 games are regular racing games for PC, PlayStation or Xbox. I have already been thinking of making expanded versions of my viral videos from 2017 for a while now but it's always hard to find the perfect time for it because the longer I wait, the more games I am able to include. For my new drag racing video the Motorfest release seems like a good time though, since it was already announced that Forza Motorsport 8 will not have drag racing at launch.
This time I am able to show you 4 times as many games as I did 6 years ago and I even included five different games that I have never shown on my channel before, with Test Drive 5, Test Drive Overdrive, R Racing Evolution, Sega GT Online and Juiced. I am quite happy with how the video turned out and I hope you guys will also enjoy it as much as the previous one.
Note that not all of these games feature actual drag races against other cars. Some of them only feature solo drag trials against the clock. I am showing every game the way it is, so if some clips in the video show a more basic drag mode, then that is not a fault on my part. That simply means that drag racing is not such a major thing in that particular game.
It should also go without saying that there are even more racing games with drag racing. These are simply the 32 games that I selected for this video and I intentionally picked exactly these ones, so do not falsely assume that I missed or forgot any games in the video. I am very aware that there are other games that also have drag racing and you don't have to tell me about them.

NFS Underground 1 and 2 and Most Wanted probably have the most iconic and exciting drag modes among these games, featuring nitrous, drafting, traffic and engine heat management.
The Crew got special drag cars with the Wild Run expansion, which returned in TC2 and Motorfest, although they are also infamous for being too OP for various free roam activities.
Gran Turismo featured 400m and 1000m "machine test" drag trials in the early games. In GT7 we finally got some drag races against AI but only against a few specific opponents.
Forza featured drag strips in many of its games but only some of the games also feature AI opponents for them. In FM6 you can't even do proper timed runs in single player at all and in FH2 drag races are completely exclusive to multiplayer.
Grid Autosport has one of the more "realistic" drag modes among mainstream racing games, even featuring the positioning at the start line.
Juiced, Sega GT, R Racing Evolution and TD Overdrive are racing games that I haven't even gotten around to really playing at all yet but since they all have drag modes that are unlocked from the start I decided to feature them here as well.
Assetto Corsa is another game with a drag strip and one of several games that barely didn't make the cut for this video. And if you want to see games where drag races are actually the main content, then you can look up the NHRA games. - เกม

Pro Street has the best drag race ever
One of these game where Drag racing feels risky and intense. Especially on those uneven road where your front wheel suddenly touch the ground and lost control.

1: Prostreet
2: Sega GT
3: FM7 experimental drag.
I have no idea what Turn10 is doing right know but they need to finish that experimental drag because that could be a lot of fun for Online.

Few things to take note from this video;
The crew is absolutely ridiculous, with cars going over 600 kmh
Gran Turismo 7 graphics are really mediocre for such a modern game
NFS UG1 sense of speed is incredible, and the Ai are challenging.
NFS Shift 2 atmosphere is awesome
i know im late but thw ug1 ai was so bad, they were only 'good' because of the worst rubberbanding out of any racing game
The Crew drag cars sooner resemble Funny cars/Top Fuel Dragsters than the "street dragsters" we see in almost every other game.. think GRID Autosport drag performance, but the car body is very similar to the regular road car.

My dad hated my racing games bc of the whole fast and furious wave and felt it was too unrealistic. He loved pro street simply because you can make dragsters and I needed help making them. Greatest partnership ever 😂
Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 had an awesome 400m run on the test oval.
Gran Turismo 2 and 3 never actually had a drag race event. 2 was planned but was cut early in development so the game could be released on time, hence why you can never get 100% completion. These are just time trials for 1000m, or other known as the acceleration test, which means TECHNICALLY it's not a drag race
As with Gran Turismo 4. It's a drag strip in that case, sure, but it's not actually a drag race

Even though UG1 UG2 and MW are more or less the same, I would argue that UG1's tracks are the best in environment design. Since it's not based on an open map, the scenery you see is unique to each layout. Add on the fact that the direction influences how the jumps are taken means 12 possible combinations from 4 layouts with 2 having an additional variant.
In UG2 it gets boring very quickly racing on the same train yard, airport runway or highway stretch when all of it looks the same at the start and finish and no changes in terrain based on the direction. The highway layout that goes through an otherwise blocked construction section and ends before Coal Harbor has an awful corner that you can get totaled on if you're going too fast and the game can't keep your car in the lane.
And then there's MW. The layouts are even worse with how narrow and the amount of curvature there is. It feels like drag races were an afterthought since there are no purpose built strips like UG2 has.

Burnout: Championship Drag Racing (1998). The one most important drag racing game is missing, because it’s the best until now unfortunately…..
Not being critical. But the GT one shouldve spanked the Escudos time. I think the launch had a factor. I know the escudo is significantly lighter. However i think if the launch was good the GT One could be the time. Just my opinion. I love both cars by the way!

You mean if every racing game has drafting? Definitely not. There are many that don't have it.

Man most of these are ok actually....I love the ambience of Test drive overdrive...but NFS I think as a whole won! Underground 1 had such a great presentation....Grid had the only actual dragster tho....Forza has best winning animation....and Prostreet had the best overall,..and all who had the pre grip test and wheelie...even Wildrun wit the parachute

The biggest joke is calling driving straight a "race", but that's all americans can do in their cars so...
I mean even though I amnt American.It still requires a skill.Even driving straight.If you cant win a race with a faster car with driving straight that means ur skills has problems.But if you drive straight in highways like underground-2.Then it is more than a challenge.
