For those of you who don't know. IRL when you're going that fast, you reach a point where you get tunnel vision. If you look forward you can make out the trees and such coming towards/past you, but if you move your gaze to the left or the right, the trees become a blur of color that you can't discern. It's like your vision becomes a tunnel, and the only thing that makes sense to your brain is what's in front of you. Some of these games do a decent job at portraying that

Britain uses mph and they have free healthcare. The UK’s measuring system is weird because it uses the metric system for everything except for measuring speed and distance.
A fighter pilot can experience ~9g. They can experience worse up to 15 if they’re not careful or the computer systems fail. Which to my knowledge has never happened in combat

@@slendydie1267 Well I think it also factors in who's driving, my brother was driving once and hit 100-120 and I felt the same way, I thought you he was doing 80-90 as well, but then I took my car and drove at 130, and that shit if fucking insanely fast when you are the one driving. It feels completely different than when you are the passenger versus the driver. Also 10/10 would do again it's fun as hell.

All you need are self-lubricating apex seals that use the centrifugal force of the rotor to draw out oil. It would be more efficient, using less oil, and would greatly reduce wear on the seals by applying the oil directly to them.
My bad, people talk so much shit about rotary's it's hard to tell lol. Anyways make sure that the self lubrication apex seals are using 2 cycle oil just to burn easier. Then we might have a perfect rotary!
@@glebbelyaev877 i absolutely dont know what you are talking about... there are 4 tomahawks in the game. one vgt gr.1 from the gr.1 category, one gtsr vgt, one s vgt and one x vgt... the gtsr vgt looks like the gr.1 but has mire power and doesnt meet the bop, the s vgt is a more road legal close car with 1081 kw and it has no flaps. the x vgt is the car in the clip obviously, it has 1929 kw and is the only car in the game that hits 400mph. so for me it was obvious that the car in the clip is the x vgt, it has flaps that are closed and you can also see that at the overtake button that is lighting up in red. but all the other 3 tomahawks are gr.x, i have no idea why you mean it is called prototype...

For real now, NFS Pro Street does it best of all these, 400 km/h actually feels scary and the car actually feels like its going to snap out of control at any moment. God I loved the Speed events on that game so much.

If you wonder what was the 0-60 time in CSR2 9:01 it's 0.367, the rear bumber didn't even cross the start line and it hit 60 MPH in 1st gear at around 5,500 RPM
This video, and probably your monitor, can display 60 images per second which means there is 1/60th of a second between each image the video can display. That means that if you're going so fast that when your monitor displays the next image, the second line is almost at the same position on the screen as the first one was, it'll look like the same line going forwards.

@@wendellpowell5838 nah, a lot of the cockpit views look faster because ingame cameras for outside the car are zoomed in, making the distance look not as far away. that hampers the sense of speed, but increases ability to see what's coming. The views in assetto corsa and project cars 2 with the side cam are the more accurate representations of speed. as far as a person would see it.
I love how fast fast the NFS games look from the beginning, giving more of the danger vibes, while Forza gives the feels as if the car is stationary and the environment is moving (like in the Chrome No Internet Game). Although Forza did improve a lot later on, and NFS saturated.
When you look at FM4 and FH1's sense of speed, it really shows how little the devs cared about the sense of speed in the later titles (wind noise, camera shake, steering wheel shake, etc)

I agree, in Forza horizon 3, going like 100 mph feels like going 50 mph, 200 feels like 100. In Forza Horizon 4 they added a FoV field of view slider which helped the sense of speed a bit ......... but the older forza games are still better in sense of speed overall.
you could go so fast in the veyron but there's literally no place in the city where you even can reach its max potential imo. that spot that was shown off in this vid is like the only spot where you can get close but even then traffic is bullshit on the highways in that game
Pretty much depends on the FOV, a higher FOV gives a higher speed sensation, even if you are moving the same ammount of space at the same ammount of time. Of course the game's physics also matter, but there are many camera techniques that are used to convey the fast speed sensation. - FOV (Higher FOV makes short distances seems longer, thus increasing the perceived speed) - Proximity to Vehicle - Motion Blur - Radial Blur - Vignette Effect (To give the Tunnel Vision perception) - Wind Lines (usually older games used that, but they exist in newer games too, but more subtle) - Camera Shake - Vehicle Offset (from the center of the camera, when moving in high speed) - Minimap Zoom (YES, even that can affect how you perceive speed) - Vehicle/Road Size ratio (is subtle, but small vehicles on large roads feels faster to the eye)

Well, IRL you wouldn't be accelerating that fast because that's the Red Bull X2010, a fictional car that only exists in real life as a shell without a engine.
And even if it did existed, nobody would be able to drive it thanks to the insane G forces it can pull.
For real now, NFS Pro Street does it best of all these, 400 km/h actually feels scary and the car actually feels like its going to snap out of control at any moment. God I loved the Speed events on that game so much.

@@wendellpowell5838 nah, a lot of the cockpit views look faster because ingame cameras for outside the car are zoomed in, making the distance look not as far away. that hampers the sense of speed, but increases ability to see what's coming. The views in assetto corsa and project cars 2 with the side cam are the more accurate representations of speed. as far as a person would see it.

I love how fast fast the NFS games look from the beginning, giving more of the danger vibes, while Forza gives the feels as if the car is stationary and the environment is moving (like in the Chrome No Internet Game). Although Forza did improve a lot later on, and NFS saturated.

When you look at FM4 and FH1's sense of speed, it really shows how little the devs cared about the sense of speed in the later titles (wind noise, camera shake, steering wheel shake, etc)
Imo Fm4’s effects seem way too distracting and unrealistic for a simcade title, plus Horizon still has shake effects in later titles

I agree, in Forza horizon 3, going like 100 mph feels like going 50 mph, 200 feels like 100.
In Forza Horizon 4 they added a FoV field of view slider which helped the sense of speed a bit ......... but the older forza games are still better in sense of speed overall.

Pretty much depends on the FOV, a higher FOV gives a higher speed sensation, even if you are moving the same ammount of space at the same ammount of time.
Of course the game's physics also matter, but there are many camera techniques that are used to convey the fast speed sensation.
- FOV (Higher FOV makes short distances seems longer, thus increasing the perceived speed)
- Proximity to Vehicle
- Motion Blur
- Radial Blur
- Vignette Effect (To give the Tunnel Vision perception)
- Wind Lines (usually older games used that, but they exist in newer games too, but more subtle)
- Camera Shake
- Vehicle Offset (from the center of the camera, when moving in high speed)
- Minimap Zoom (YES, even that can affect how you perceive speed)
- Vehicle/Road Size ratio (is subtle, but small vehicles on large roads feels faster to the eye)
