    I've gotta side on FB with this. This new government rule is completely unfair for independent creators. Essentially big media has failed to catch up with the times so as a result they want to change the rules to suite them. Also social media didn't ask for this content on their platforms so if the option is pay an extortionate amount for it or remove it of course they will remove it.

    • @ryanm8517
      @ryanm8517 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @J M so if I'm to talk on the radio about any news even if it's me referencing another radio broadcaster should the radio station have to pay them.
      The news producers can publish there news where they like. But if I'm to talk about it in radio (similar to sharing in Facebook) should the station/facebook have to pay for my rights to speech? How does that make sense.
      Sharing is normal. To charge people to share links/information is idiotic.
      This is the government supporting News Corp.
      The news company, can put ad's in there content if they want to collect revenue while posting on Facebook, no one is stopping them and many do this. But for Facebook to have to pay them for them to post or us to talk about. On what planet is that normal.
      Otherwise we should all start a "news" company and writing about anything we want and posting it on Facebook to have it rain money.
