- This is the Shawano Speedway (Wisconsin) Spectator racing from June 8 2019. They basically have a slow class and fast class. Slow = "4/6 class” fast = "v-8 class”. AWD cars run in the v-8 class... I don’t make the rules.
No AWD domination in this one. However the 200,000 mile Subaru did alright and had some fun!

So far at 34 seconds into the video, the operator of said camera, SUCKS ASS!
Guy in the torino was driving way beyond his ability and screwed up a cool a## car.
And of course... The moment that it happens, the camera person turns away. Thumbs down!
Yea, I noticed that and yelled, turn the camera damn it! He lost focus I think. Watched the event but not where the camera was pointed. When I video stuff like this, I am at full focus of the event to the point of not enjoying it as a spectator. Do it right or do not do it, geeez.
So the camera is showing an empty track while the guy loses control. Great work.
Just like nascar on fox and NBC. Lol.
There needs to be a separate class events for these AWD cars because sleeper rallycars with advanced active adjustable all wheel drive systems ..tracion control..Stability control.. antilock brakes and Air-conditioning Has a great advantage on a Dirt Track over 2wd street muscle dailys so there needs to be a separate class for AWD Rally Rockets
If there was a separate class the Subaru would race against no one. And everyone would talk about how no one could possibly beat the Camaro, regardless of whether or not it raced against an AWD car.

nahh, just a track regular on the weekends, several of those guys were. almost all spectator drags top few drivers are track regulars.

Just to let you guys know me and my friend are Jersey boys living in Northern California we watch these videos quite regularly and love them we only wish that there was a track out here in California that we could do this at to say that the California boys are envious of you Wisconsin lads that's an understatement thanks have fun stay safe

That car #17 looks great until he hits the wall with it but it looks great it reminds me of David Pearson who drove a Ford Torino in the NASCAR Grand National series for a certain team before The Wood Brothers Racing car#21 which he drove for back then
That racing team was Holman-Moody from Charlotte,NC.

David Pearson drove the car #17 back in the 60's before he switched to the Wood Brothers Racing car#21 in the 70's

If it's the L48 it has 195hp or if it's the L82 it'll have 220hp

I'm impressed with that Subaru SUV! It didnt beat the Camaro, but that's a seriously beefed up muscle car. In comparison, the SUV was super fast! WOW!

it is a forester 2.5xt. Is is pretty fast stock. 5.3 second 0-60. But the black camaro is 600hp.
Camaro’s were a mainstay of the dirt tracks in the 70’s/80’s.

@@BoostedFilms yeah i am no complainer but when its time to race you gotta be even at the most possible level. those f-bodies with proper suspension to put power down and a good engine(not those old ass capped 350s and 400s) they can scare you for sure
@@Toxic2T respectfully disagree about the even part. This is a street race that just so happens to be on dirt. if you want "Fair" racing getting an IMCA modified or another regulated & rule sanctioned dirt race car. But yes, this Camaro is setup proper for this and can certainly do well with a good driver.

I was there too I went down too check out the car. The person who crashed said he shops of these all around Wisconsin I said nice well I always new it wasn't the Fords that were bad it's the driver

Friends don't let friends enter a muscle car in this demolition derby style of "races if you will"? Corvettes however, they are a dime a dozen, would have rather seen the corvette go into the wall, no loss there...
Having owned numerous C-3's I can tell you that the later models (78, 79, 80, 81, 82)had a TERRIBLE push . I don't know what they did to them after 76 but before then they were race track winners. Remember, CARROLL SHELBY designed and built the Cobrawas specifically to beat the corvette.
I had the 69 428 Super CJ in the Fairlane and it was pure JOY TO RUN
they had shit compression, shit cylinder heads, shit intake, shit fuel system. that's why
They were Corvettes in name only. The horsepower ratings were low. Junk engines. To add insult to injury, they were uglier than sin.

@Eat Jat If I recall correctly, Forester XT had the same engine as the WRX with the only differences in the turbo/intercooler.

@@BoostedFilms watched that video too. You can tell who puts together a tight engine and who can't. Grumpy Gremlin held it together good and started chugging oil in the last 2 races. I think the 300 (?) Nissan had a pukey turbo shaft seal or his rings weren't staggered correctly😂😂😂😂😂
