- Craving All-You-Can-Eat Hot Pot while visiting Taipei, Taiwan? There are hundreds of eateries serving this super popular style of dish in Taipei city. So where do you go if you're having a hard time deciding?
I went to one of the NEW MALA HOT POT PLUS location near Taipei 101. The location was superbly clean and ambience was amazing with great views. The restaurant offers 3 different tiers of All-You-Can-Eat meats & sides and the quality of the food was super fresh and delicious. The highlight for me is that they also offer unlimited beer & wine at no extra cost and they also carry over 20+ different flavors of ice cream mainly Haagen Daaz. That was the highlight for me and the cost was under $32 USD per person.

For locals Hot Pot is the most popular food in Taiwan.
It amazes me how many hotpot spots there are in just Taipei alone.

How much was it in usd?
We went with the 998 TWD option and at the time (October 2023) it came out to just under $32USD per adult. Hope that helps

食令 shabu is a high end Japanese shabu shabu located in Taipei 101. Known for their high end quality of meat and veggies. A set will cost around 50 dollars to 80 if you’re getting seafood.
Orange Shabu is similar to 食令 good quality, a bit on the pricier side as well.
詹記麻辣鍋 in my opinion is the best mala flavored hot pot in Taipei that’s reasonably priced, easy to get a table for lunch, but dinner will have 2-3 hours queue time.
I think you don’t like the spicy broth, so personally I would highly recommend 食令 in Taipei 101. It’s a set menu with appetizer and dessert. If you get the set with the crab, they’ll use the crab roe and make a porridge that’s really good as well. Dessert is decent too.
