as an Irish man your required to build up a squads worth of armour and attend dragon con in that getup. seriously good work. greetings from Dublin Ireland
Some buddies and myself are planning to make our first cosplay set. Already got the 3D models from you guys. The idea was kind of daunting but this video gives some much needed insight into the process. Thanks to all you guys for this astounding tutorial!
Biggest thing I can recommend for group cosplays, is everyone works on their own stuff, together. Speaking from experience doing an ODST build with a 6 man group, taking it all on yourself when there’s scheduling conflicts is brutal. Absolutely brutal. Even if they’re not into cosplay crafting, it’s a great time to teach and do together. But taking it on yourself will drain you. It ended up working out, but… just trust me.
No joke i bought your plans for the B-01 armor and liberator like 3 weeks ago, ended up getting the autocannon too. Crazy that i see this pop up in my feed too.
The fact that you are so comfortable and are able to freely move around in the cosplay says a lot about your guys' great craftmanship and how well they thought out the design of the armor in the game. (Or im just overthinking everything 🙃)
This couldn't have been timed any better. I got your armor files a week or two ago and have been working on printing it and an autocannon for Dragoncon this year. Was especially stuck on what to use for the undergarments so I'm so glad you linked the BDU that you used, I've been searching for something that works well for days! Thanks for all the hard work and great products!
My family and I are all going as Helldivers to comic con next year. Slightly breaking canon, as there are 6 of us.. and we're all wearing different armor (except there will be two variations of B-01). And hubby and I are doing all the printing. Big project!
I may not be able to make my own armour yet, but I sure as hell am gonna watch this and keep it in the back of my head for when I do. Great tutorial/guide😂
This is perfect timing for this to come out my wife and I planned on making a couple sets of the B0-1 (She'd prefer the trailblazer scout armor but we haven't found anything for that yet) for a con and this will greatly help with figuring this out. It will be our first time doing armor.
This has taken me roughly 4 spools so far, i estimate going through another 1.5. The resin idea is GENIUS. It makes everything look and sand so much better. If anyone is debating on doing this or buying the files, DO IT! Taken me about 3 weeks to print everything, but with my second and third printer now I anticipate that that process can go a little faster
Will say in addition to using PLA filament and a wood burner or soldering iron to "weld" pieces, I picked up a plastic welder that can heat up metal staples of various shapes to be pressed in on the back after gluing to reinforce the joins.
How do you do the foam parts? Do you just guess the shape to cut out? Beginning on my print using files I bought from y’all but need help on the foam parts such as shown at 15:48.
For the life of me, I really wish you guys had an option to buy the suit painted and finished. I would’ve easily dropped an extra grand. Especially with the quality and effort shown in this video. My order arrived a couple weeks late and now I’m currently rushing to have my amateur skills get it ready in time for a convention.
Would you guys please consider posting detailed pictures of the strapping and soft parts. Not even a seperate vid, but pictures to see all the parts inside and out
Thank you so much!!! I’m making my own Helldivers cosplay out of EVA foam and it’s been such a pain in the ass trying to figure out how to make some of the stuff underneath the armor, but you guys did it so well!!

I'd love a more in depth look at how the torso is all constructed. Is the front and back hard connected at the shoulders or are they strapped together? How is the cape mounted in there? How about the sides of the torso?
This was pretty cool and all and I got excited when I kept hearing kit because I do not have a 3d printer but all I have to ask is why is it $690 when it is mainly just the plastic and all the buckle and straps are bought by other sources

i just got the armor set and would love a video on how to put together the printed armor cuz it comes in so many parts and how the shoulder parts work ive been trying to figure it out because the to just slides down
Velcro and straps. For shoulders, we use a combo of velcro under the chest plate and an elastic strap that connects to another velcro patch under the shoulder.
Hey guys, got the files and starting to print them now. Do you have the base foam patterns as well? You showed off that the Vambraces have a foam base that the plates attach too. They also appear on the Thigh, shins, and Chest plates. Im sure I can figure it out myself, but you should include those as a file we can print on paper.
Hell yeah, I'm working on mine right now. I am working to get the base costume done for anime central next month. I plan to program a pad on the tacpad piece, that accepts hand swipes, if successful, it will trigger the strategem ball to light up to that type of strategem (blue or red).
To aid in being able to put stuff on solo, have you considered a strip or Velcro? For example where the foam is on the shin. Hold it in place for you to be able to do the buckles. Looks awesome :D
One question I have is did you guys just rigidly glue all side pieces of the chestplate together as well as the front and back? Or did you glue it together with elesastic or something similar? Also what foam did you guys use EVA?
I had a problem with printing the Savior of the Free back plate top STL file. Even the one in the folder for smaller printers didn’t fit on my prusa mk3s. What should I do?
Hey I plan on making the cape but want to make it a fur cape like the cape Kratos has from god of war ragnarok (making a god of war HellDiver armor) but not sure how I should make it look like fur. Any recommendations or tips?
Is there any chance you guys could touch on the chest armor and assembly process with that? The rest of the armor seems simple enough with just the Velcro patches and straps but how did you guys do the assembly and padding. especially with how thin the parts are when printed.
It’s mostly just connecting the pieces via activator glue. Most of the parts for the chest are pretty easy to visualize together, using rods of metal Is good but unnecessary, if you have any questions just reply, I finished my own build a few days ago
