I know that I keep putting this in the comments, but if less than a quarter of us had a friend to subscribe to Ola, he'd hit a million. I like a lot of the other Tubers and the have 2, 3, 4, million, and they don't work as hard. He deserves it!
Ola, i loved the fact that you walked us through your setup process in Logic Pro X. I found that very helpful and actually learned a few tricks from it. Please do more DAW workflow content in Swola. I'm sure there are many viewers like myself who would find it very useful and benefit from it.🤘
@@Jeffmetal42 haha true tho… first song we worked on was the thing that should not be by Metallica. He is great and a good friend to this day. Saw him for a drink on home turf a few years ago. Rock on Terrance !
Holy shit, what you can do with a impulse response now is insane! That little set up sounds great, would be a great travel option or for jamming at home to tracks. So cool.
I forgot the actual "time stamp", i thinkit right before or after the clip you ( Ola) showed.....of some crushing metal tones!!!! This amp, does sound monstrous!!!!!!!!!
Man I hope you come near Kentucky some day so I can see you live . Kentucky is a very beautiful state too. Come see us and melt some faces in the bluegrass.
I saw Megadeth in 2011 and he stopped the whole show to kick a security guard out who was getting handsy with a female. he must do this type of stuff a lot.
If you think Dave don't see you, you're wrong. He's got eyes like a hawk and he was surgical with that ejection - only the ones that were doing the beatdown got picked, he actually protected the other security that wasn't involved from the crowd's wrath.
2009 at a Megadeth show Dave seen a guy pressing his forearm against my neck and called security over to haul him out. He's always looking out for the fans
Thanks for showing your settings. I haven’t spent much time with the CHUG pedal. It sounds a little fizzy through the amp I was trying it on. Probably better in my DAW.
There is other footage from first row where you see a big guy trying to get on the stage, Then security pulls him down from stage, and the guy tries hitting security at least twice... Then you see multiple security on him and yes they are also punching him but he is resisting and not complying to security demands!!! You of all people should understand this after what happened to Dimebag, that security will not take this lightly.
@@Mobi666 the point is, they shouldve just contained him, maybe a punch but holding him and punching him....theres a thin line between wrong and right...the guy was in the wrong and shoukd have been kicked out imho, but they did hold him and started to beat him once they got the hold of him.
Some people and companies never understand the fact that too much branding and personalization doesn't help building the image of the person or company better.
Chug mode forever! 🤘 Loved the minimal rig run through in Adventures with Ola. Need to translate this to my shitty PC DAW, but otherwise perfect simple tutorial.
Watching the footage, the guy tried to get on stage and the guy threw the first punches. Honestly after Dimebag, no one should go on stage. 4 on 1 isn’t cool but that’s what security does. They will give you a reminder to never do that again or maybe they’re having a bad day.
This is sunny clear Sunday right now in Albania, no but Greece is right there I see on the corner peeking they might be eating chocolates on the highway reststops. Thats my obsession at least.Great day to cross borders for vacation but I need to get vehicle. And cheap radio to enjoy Sunday relaxing melody.
Looking forward to the new Suffocation album. Will miss 'death chop' Franks vocals tho. Have been a fan of theirs since finding the Human Waste ep all the way back in 1991.
I was at a Baltimore Maryland concert where a fan spills beer on the main sound board and fried it. Dave threw a temper tantrum about it. He remembers it too because years later at the same venue he cursed out everyone in attendance for it and begged security to keep people away from the board. 😂
This is the first time i saw the guy try to jump on the stage. No telling what that guy was going to do. Didnt look like he would have been able to stage dive.
I don't stream music from Spotify. I prefer to buy and own albums. That's why I bought beyond creation, Archspire and Crypta's albums on bandcamp. So I hope the new owners don't change being able to buy albums and the bands benefitting directly from the revenue.
Still, weird that Andy James went for just a plain Schecter-esque superstrat as a BC Rich signature. I mean, they have far cooler options (and I don't mean tacky stuff like Widow headstocks and outright hideous Draco). That's not even to mention - NO DIAMOND INLAYS?
But with this clinic rig you cannot do automation in logic to cleans. You must be turn of the chug etc. instead this you can just bring an apogee element 24 interface. It’s very small (but need ac power) and their thunderbolt driver have just 1.1ms latency. It also has the xlr outputs to PA and headphones output for inears. So you can play with any plugins without latency at all with that interface and MacBook.
Humbuckers + active pickups + shielding within the guitar? + shielded and foilded cables to the amps might do the trick. Then low, low latency, 0 if possible. No added hum or noise. Then you as an artist may crank away with any gain and any effects you like. They will take its place in the mix but not eat out of other added parts of a song as hum and noise do.
Anyone have advice on some simplified videos on how to setup pro tools for guitar playing. I got all this expensive computer stuff but end up just plugging into amp because it’s just easier.
Security can get alittle crazy. I remember going to a Ministry show at a small venue many years back and was at the edge of a pit. One guy obviously there just to make the pit brutal pissed off another guy with his tackle. Well the pissed of tacklee tried to retaliate and cause a fist fight. Well smol me just so happen to be in the path of this fight found myself in a choke hold to be moved away from the fight and remained in it til all of the rest of security stop the chaos. I had no idea what was going on. Shit can get out of control in a short amount of time at a show. Maybe we should just have armed guards like they do at Dethklok shows. MURDERFACE RULES!!
Awesome Ola. Love the geek out on the micro set up. Does the UAD Volt runs via USB power? The Audient Evo 4 does for example. With a bit of charge on the laptop and a powerbank. One could play without a power point for a small duration Chug it on up
Ola literally writes riffs better than 99% of modern metal bands discographies just for a joke on Sunday
I know right!?!?! That's why a few weeks back when he was considering putting an end to the opening jam every episode I said no way man we gotta keep 'em writing
WTF are you listening too? No disrespect to Ola at all, dude has riffs for days, but the other half of your statement is just silly.

That was one of my favorite Olas adventures! Love watching you set up a rig from scratch!
The rig rundown for your Chyyna Chug clinic was awesome to see!
awesome Ola - very fun to watch you set that up - have fun in China
Dave always did that. I've seen him stop the show to help someone get out of the crowd unharmed. Such a nice guy!

A pedal as a preamp into an IR with some EQ to bump up the mids = pure genius!
It’s always a huge pleasure when the setup just works as expected 😅

Always great riffage, Ola! Today's is really alive, however. Listened to it a few times before I watched the rest of the show.
The video makes it a little hard to see if it was excessive, though I am leaning towards yes. But also remember what happened to Dimebag.
Nice little Adventures with Ola. One stroke done tiny rig and it sounds perfect. \m/\m/
Security just needed to stop the guy, having a squad beat him down was too far and Mustaine made the right call on getting them out
Yeah, he stopped once he saw that they were beating him up, not when they got him off the stage.

PRS Tremonti MT100 will be under $2000, he says. The channel two took tons of work because it’s modeled after a Dumble. They spent 5 years on the amp.
Oh crazy! I actually did a demo of the Chug pedal through a CABM+. It works VERY well. Tbh better than any preamp pedal I have used
