I took Sarah's Raw Foods workshop, in which we visited her amazing garden and picked a full meal for 6 people, prepared and ate the delicious recipes! Great experience which I recommend. ❤️🌞🌱

This garden is simply magical, it gives a feeling of abundance and beauty. I hope soon we`ll have more gardens like this and plenty of plants to share. Thanks to Krishna and Sarah for inspiring us.

@@MyFoodForest Trying to. But I have three large trees (litchi, mango and aracaria) in my small garden. They don't allow any sun to enter. Infant, I have fair bit of mossy growth in parts so, am not sure what can I grow. Tried a few regular veggies but that didn't work.
Krishna your knowledge base about these plants even weeds is outstanding, i wonder if even the locals know so much....would be nice if you write a book/blog or something with pictures of these plant types....awesome work.....I want to live life like this....really cool
Absolutely amazing. I am initiating myself into permaculture and loved the video Couldnt catch all the names of the plants. Would be a great service if you add the names of the plants either in Tamil or English or both. Thank you for sharing this.
Krishna, this is an awesome idea to share the details of the farms. Keep doing this good work. I wish to come and visit you and your Solitude after the lockdown period. I too wish to start permaculture and grow a food forest 😀Regards, nilma
First of all excellent job Sara.. I have subscribed your channel. Keep doing the good deed. HEY KRISHNA! You are very inspiring person.. this look like the dream comes true. Dream of fukuoka's , Dr.Nammazhavr aiyaa's and Mr. Krishna McKenzie's dream. Having our own food from our garden. Keep motivating and keep help people to lead healthier life Keep growing and keep going
Beyond!!! 👌 Everything looks magnificent. It was originally the quality of food at Solitude which drew me back. Even to this day, I have not forgotten the effect of the food it had on my mind and body and frankly have not found anywhere. Great to see Sara and her place. Some of the plants grow here in South Rajasthan also namely some wild, others cultivated, Shankpushpi, pipli, morenga, giloy, sweetpotatoes, curry leaves, papaya, bananas. The papya paper as a sushi roll is unheard of, so is the semi-ripened papaya juice with ginger root. I do wonder if chicken spinich and the first few herbs yous picked up for the smoothie are native to Tamilnadu only? I bet the Queen won't be having all this too. 😀 Cheers Krishna, Shakti and Sara. 🙏
hahaha thank you so much, what a wonderful endorsement, it makes me very happy to read your kind words, thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed the video 🙏🌿
@@KrishnaMckenzie welcome. 🙏 The world needs this on every level. Man is at the service of nature. Only nature can heal mankind. 🙏 I am thankful for your attention. Keep up the good works.
Hi from Malaysia. These same plants you're showing are local plants here too! In rural villages here you can still find gardens like this one but they are rapidly dissapearing due to urbanisation. Do you know that chicken spinach that grows from seeds forms roots similar in shape and medicinal value as ginseng? Chicken spinach is called Ginseng Jawa (javanese ginseng) around here. I was told the leaves shouldn't be eaten raw in large quantities because it's high in oxalic acid. We usually stir fry the leaves. Tapioca leaves is commonly eaten as vegetable here, cooked in coconut milk with some ginger and turmeric or blanched in hot water, dipped in sambal. Try it it's delicious! Thank you so much for your videos, i'm learning alot from them.
Great video, Sara and Krishna, thanks much for the great info. Only one small issue - the audio was not clear at times, probably due to mics being a bit away from either of you at times. Maybe use 2 mics?
Lovely video. I'm working towards installing a food forest now in Florida, USA. Would you be able to tell me the botanical name of the shrub that you call Harmony. The pink flowers are used in the smoothie bowls. Many thanks.
At Auroville, what conveniences that aren't available in the nearby cities are people most happy to have with them, or is it near enough to civilization that asking such a thing is silly? if a person had limited space to bring with them when visiting, what would be most useful there?
Wow, what an amazing garden! Where is this? Sadly, I'm in the temperate region of the US, and much of this isn't possible. Do you know of any resources for creating a food forest like this in such a climate? I will have to check out your other videos-both of you! What a cool, cool garden! Good luck in your continued efforts to make the world a better, more sustainable place :)
I feel this biodiversity is the solution to damages being done by the Locusts (a pest) in northern states (Rajasthan, MP and UP), which is making headlines these days.
15:30 Tapioca leaves, not edible or not suggested to use as green salad. This contains hydrocyanic acid (Hydrogen cyanide which is water soluble). Even for cattles it is suggested to partially dry to evaporate toxin.
Thank you for this informative video. Is Harmony Antigonon leptopus ( Coral creeper) ? If so “ The Useful Plants of India” says the tubers are edible. Also a Bee Plant.
In order to help our fellow farmers suffering due to Locust attack. What is the permaculture solution for this problem? Can you make a video to address this please. May be a brainstorming by a few permaculture farmers can come up with a solution to it
