It was a pleasure to meet Narciso and tour his forest garden with him, this video is only touching the surface of the wealth of knowledge Narciso has about all the medicinal plants and herbs that grow on their own without planting seeds. His forest is also full of so many fruiting trees too not everything is ripe in this season, so I hope to return to see his garden at another time of year aswell. 💚💚💚
I could be this man when I'll be 20 years older than now 😂😂 The knowledge and wisdom this man has about earth and the food and medecine that grows on it is incredible and comes from the direct contact with mother earth.
Really looking forward to seeing this video since indigenous people hold the ancient wisdom of managing the forests, I can't wait to see what is growing there!
You are right, we have been discovering that permaculture is all based on indigenous principles that we need to preserve and protect since they have much more knowledge than permaculture provides, this is the source
Love your convos and meetings. I really appreciate how unedited the video is. It really gives context and character to the story you tell. These are priceless recordings. Thank you for showcasing.
it's amazing how 30 years ago Robert Hart in England came out with the concept of Food Forest. And then we suddenly discovered that humanity has been doing Food Forests all around the globe. Amazing project.
Thank you Narciso 🙏 for all you have shown and taught us, your garden is truly a paradise, I hope people will be inspired to live and love nature as much as you!
Those slippers mangoes look really tasty, I would also like to try fresh sugar cane, bananas, papaya.. I had no idea that papaya leaves could also be used as a medicine
"And I had a dream about a long, long drought, and I see all the trees brown, the soil brown. All, only three trees that were standing were the banana bread not fruit and cocoyam. When I woke up, I started to think about the meaning of it. So the meaning is that these plants will send roots like the trees and roots deep in the ground. And the others, like the banana, contain a lot of water in them, so they could withstand maybe a long period of dry weather. And it is happening already because, you know, some waters or some rivers are disappearing. And things will not get so good unless we get together and plant something. Uh, plant something. No matter if you don't need it, but other people will need it, you know? So don't plant because you don't need it. You plant because you think about other people who will need, and it will be best for the plant because the more green the plant is, the better life people will have. So that's why my aim is to plant all these same kinds of plants that contain a lot of water to make like a model for the people who want to continue living. Because if you don't have, you know, maybe you don't have food, but you have a piece of sugar cane, you could eat a piece for the day, and then you survive and other things that are around you know because Mother Earth is like a living person. It's sad because then what I don't see right is that there are so many vast areas, cleared areas that are in danger because, you know, there's nothing to hold them together. So, and I think the planet needs trees to keep it together, you know? Especially when people are living on slopes, they should not cut the trees around this group. And if you've got trees, you've got humus because the trees' leaves are falling, and the humus is growing. And then that's what the earth needs too because the earth is like a human, like I'm telling you. It needs its food. We've got the technique, so that's it."
Joe Rogandid a video which can be found if you search for “Joe Rogan Biochar” he’s doing a talk with this guy talking about the ancient Mayans and How large sections of the Amazon jungle have been farmed by the ancient lions themselves and possibly the people that came before them this is easily proven by the bio char that is everywhere down there also known as mayan black earth
Why does someone need a job when you grow all your own food? What your suggesting is that someone like narciso needs a job pushing paper work In some useless office or creating products for entitled western, disempowering indigenous people from being self sufficient, and end up living on imported food.
We are helping Narcisco to expand his forest garden, on his doorstep are degraded monoculture cornfields, now an opportunity has arisen to buy the a joining land and restore biodiversity back to it. He actually acknowledges the animals that live and feed there. What a guy.

This concept has been around as long as humans have. Permaculture just collects techniques.

not everything is about killing yourself to survive. believe it or not us humans are wired to jus be picking berries, surviving & thriving
This is the best job in the world.
