@DearestHershel if you would tackle the Azran Legacy locations in the future, I would suggest putting San Grio on the map. San Grio is probably easy to find compared to the other towns (Kodh, Froenborg, Mosinnia etc...). You can eliminate things pretty quickly with San Grio: - Its an island. - Has a lighthouse - People speaking/using Spannish words (Spannish Island?) - Building architecture that looks like southern Europe. You probably won't read this, but I also want to thank you for the amazing PL content! And this series is absolutely superb. Keep up the good work! :)
@@professorlayton6360 Intresting choice. He could also go with Hoogland, its only a question of narrowing it down really, let me explain and share my thoughts here. We know that Hoogland is 100% based on The Netherlands. Just by looking at the in game character names: Piet, Rik, Beatrix, all Dutch names. To further prove it , there are windmills which is a typical Dutch sight. Since there are no mountains in The Netherlands we'll have to look at places where there is a mountainrange and where they talk Dutch/have Dutch roots/Dutch familiarities... you get the point. The only possibly answer would be South Africa. South Africa is pretty big, using Google Maps we can see that there are mountains only in the south and in the east of the country. And then things start sadly getting more complicated.... - The village exist of six windmills (by looking at the in game map art) - And must contain a chapel

I've heard some people say Hoogland would be somewhere in Europe or in The Alps. But it would be more logical that Hoogland is in South Africa due to the Dutch language. One thing however, doing a quick Google search. There is no village in South Africa that has windmills, so there's that problem. I also want to mention that the chapel is an Azran technology base. The wind in Hoogland is 'Fake' because its the Azran chapel/shrine that generates the wind, not the weather/nature per se. What I want to say is that the village (probably) must contain something ancient like a cave or ruins. I doubt Hoogland will be ever put on the real life map soon, but thinking about, this legend has put 'The Nest' back on the map so everything is possible!
Great video! Any Professor Layton & the Pandora's Box Lore it's just so valuable! I'll love to see a video of you explaining what happened to Folsense and how the people there lived in the hallucination 😉
I wonder if there's a way to make the connection with the "real word" Folsense you found, Okehampton. Also, it would be funny if one day we could map all of Layton's journey (cursed succession of words right there). Great video!
If your theory about why the painting was present in-universe is true, and it is a Herzen family heirloom... then it’s an even bigger shame that it got destroyed along with the rest of the castle at the end.
