It was meant to be Theo; crossing the stream at the perfect place to find that beautiful blue! Simply Serendipitous and the last agate…so sublime. 😉☺️👏👏👏
Duude! Awesome finds! Nice deer catch too. Seeing that, I was reminded of a time I heard a deer before I saw it. A fawn was being chased by 1 or more coyotes. It jumped in a river and swam upstream, past my sister and I in our kayaks.
Oh man! Thatll get your heart racing!😅 yeah i was a bit startled by the deer, especially having it rip through like that minutes after talking about bears😅
Such beautiful finds the agate you found in the water was amazing! The petrified wood was cool! I think it might be fun to look inside of one of those😀! I liked the mystery rock , it looked jaspery, so pretty! Something was chasing that deer. He was like “OUT OF MY WAY!” 🐻 Awesome trip!
The deer running scared me because my immediate thought is to wonder what it is running from! I think I’d be playing loud music and armed with bear spray! Beautiful finds….love the blue. Maybe a big gun wouldn’t hurt😀
Right!?😂 gotta love when a deer comes SPRINTING out of the woods literal minutes after talking about bear danger😅 thatll get your heart racing, and yes always go into the mountains with bear spray!😄👍
My mom had a close encounter with dangerous wildlife. She was out on a walking path but could go more than a quarter of a mile at a time. She had an aluminum folding chair with her. While she was resting in that chair she heard movement in the bushes 70-80 feet in front of her, out popped a cow elk. Then about a minute later a baby elk ran out. Not to longer after that a cougar ran out, but it stopped when it got to the path. She figured it couldn't catch up with the elk and that's why it stopped. It stood there swishing it's tail. My mom prayed and praise God it turned and went back into the woods. I was so happy it did not see her, because I don't think she would have survived. Love your agates Theo!
The cougar smelled, heard Her and seen... Her prayers were answered, it was not Her Time... Happy Mother's Day. It would not have had to directly look at Her... Animals have very good senses my friend... Take care, life is not always easy... Slow down go with the flow and enjoy the view... 🌲🦅🦉🦅🌲
Theo, I just love to hear your excitement when you find the agate treasures. I sent you a message on Etsy, want to buy stuff from you to support. You have inspired me to take a trip of a lifetime back to Montana. I lived there as a little child. Thank you for sharing your excitement and travels.
What a great video! Loved the beautiful scenery, especially the creek. My favorite (s) for today were that reddish basalt and also the one that you couldn't identify that looks like puddingstone. Thank you for "taking me along". Can't wait to see what you find when you're up there next time! Be careful out there.
It definitely looks like puddingstone! After further research ive actually found that it is river tumbled breccia. Its an extremely soft rock so i knew it couldnt be puddingstone but it is super cool nonetheless!😄 we may have to do a carving out of one of those!
That was a beautiful spot, higher up. You found some really spectacular rocks. Looking forward to another cutting video! As always. Lol. Thank you Theo
Again I enjoyed watching your show. Yes I have subscribed, ages ago! Cut the red stone, cut the red stone! I think you might be pleasantly surprised or not lol. All the best from Australia.
That rock you said you didnt know is a michigan puddingstone! Thats a incredible find where you are at as the glaciers made them by crushing jasper into quartz. Cant imagine the story of how that got there.
If I talked about every agate I liked this would be a very long comment haha. I am just blown away with the amazing agates you find. I always say the same thing about bears where I'm at... I just make lots of noise...which is pretty easy for me 😆 they stay away. Cheers Theo✨
AWESOME rocks !! What a beautiful place to go rock hounding. I know most subscribers don’t care , but did you catch any trout?? I love to fish and pick up rocks ! Keep rockin!!👍😎
Those are some awesome agates today! I actually tumble my own rocks and do wire wrapped jewelry, necklaces, rings and bracelets, which I love to do! Don't have any pictures on my tablet to show you hopefully I will soon! I saw a cab making video of yours and believe I could do that and won't hurt to try! Most of my stones I got from the Hiddenite Emerald mine in North Carolina, I live in Virginia! Wish I had places like that around here! Take care and can't wait to see more videos! Thanks man!
the water agate is my favorite! Look forward to seeing some of your cuts on your etsy channel to purchase. i have a project in mind of various sliced stones.
They will be finding their way over there very soon!😄 just trying to build up enough to not sell out immediately😅 the last time i listed them they only lasted a few days so we're gonna build up a bit more before reposting them😅
I have two for my favorite the large one and the blue seam agate are both awesome in there own way. Also I like how your vocabulary changes when you get so excited, it's great. You should cut some slabs off the big one, so you will have a flat surface to set it on and polish just two sides. Keep up the great videos and God bless you and your family.
Awesome 🎥. There is such gorgeous agate where you are. Ours are typically solid chunks of duds. We have lots of deer here too. They are pretty docile. The males will snort at you. I take that as, go away before I charge you. I comply. Lol. Loved your big chunker. I’d struggle with to cut or not to cut also. Keep rockin on and Stay Crystal 💫
Theo, what a stunning location with the bonus of finding all of those agates, chalcedony & petrified wood. If I had to pick one it would be the first one you found in the creek, it is an awesome piece with that bluish seam agate also a great piece. Keep Safe & Keep Rockin
You gotta love those Montana mountains😄 they are one of a kind for sure! And also cant complain when youre finding good rocks IN those beautiful mountains!😁 thanks so much for watching!
Awe, amazing finds!! Living on the other side of the state my finds look way different than what you guys tend to find, but thank you for going to another location so I can see I'm rock hounding correctly 😆 lol
I found a river in South Dakota during the dry season that was *_full_* of seam agates. Unfortunately most weren't that great and were kinda beat up, but a few were quite good. I stopped on my way back from hounding the Yellowstone river, so needless to say friends and family got *_lots_* of souvenirs from that trip!
Breccia! Thank you, thats exactly what it is!😂 people keep telling me puddingstone which it DOES look a LOT like puddingstone to be fair but it is EXTREMELY soft(like softer than calcite)so it cant be puddingstone, and that mountain range has a massive amount of igneous, old volcanic material/activity so its definitely breccia! Thank you so much that has been driving me nuts🤣
Yes i have! These particular agates fo not flouresce BUT a lot of agates on the yellowstone do so im thinking we may need to do a blacklight rock hunt at some point😄
Sweet finds as always what a score. I think the multi one would be called a pudding stone. Happens in Washington sometimes too. Most famous. Ares is in the great lakes.
Thanks for your video of the beautiful flowers and natural beauty all around you. Truly, I think that is what I treasure most about rock hounding; being under the beautiful sky, and seeing all the wonders of this lovely planet. When you add the companionship of my family, rock hounding offers the greatest joy anyone could hope for in this life. 🥹
The red marbled "I don't Know!" specimen is red calcedony or chert inclusions and the color is from dissolved iron oxide in the melt as it formed and cooled. Pretty and unusual. Not colored by irradiation as is the blue calcedony. Chemistry of rocks and minerals is so fascinating. I may never get to your local, but if you would PM me the area, if the gods permit I would like to explore that creek. The deer running definitely had me wondering about bears too. Nice work and thank you for sharing!
Love your videos! Thank you for sharing your hunts with us, I've learned a lot from you. My favorite is the little seam agate, so blue! Blue is my favorite but I've never found a blue agate yet. You are so talented, you can do anything, so amazing! If you were going to tumble a smaller agate or petrified wood how do you get the "crud" off if it's thick? Muriatic acid or can you dremel some off first if they are super bumpy on the outside? Thanks for another great video!
HEY! I see my water shoes! :'D Watch the pups when hiking in bear country - we had to keep Kava on a leash, making sure she didn't go find a bear and bring it back to us. D
Katy I watch your channel as well. In 2020 I was searching for sapphires alone in the sapphire mountains and ran into big grizzly bear about 50 feet from me. Beats are definitely something the should be worried about.
Oof, 107 degrees?!? I thought I was struggling to work outside the other day when it was 92 here in Ohio. I'm glad you found somewhere to cool off. Great finds as always!
I just love you vids ♥️! Your enthusiasm is so endearing (& contagious)🤗 For once though, I get to say "I think you missed something". When you had the camera on an are & said "can you see it?" (agate) on the left 10 o' clock position was a beautiful egg shaped piece of adventurine. My eyes just locked on it! But then maybe your not into it! 😁 Thanks for the show! 😁🇨🇦♥️🇨🇦
Ive addressed this before though i recognize that most people likely have not seen every one of my videos, but there is a reason i do not do closeups in the field. It is not for a lack of want, but a lack of proper equipment. i do all of my filming on a gopro which has a fixed focus, meaning anything that gets within two feet of the camera goes out of focus; what you see in my hunts is quite literally as close as i can get. Ive tried doing closeups during the hunt on my phone but it has such an awful camera that the footage is terrible unless it is in a controlled environment with proper lighting and a tripod(like back at the shop). I will be getting a new camera soon and will absolutely be doing closeups in the field once that happens, but as for now im doing the best with what i have to work with
The third one I think may have been my favorite but really I liked them all and I also like the one that you weren't sure what it was it almost reminds me of pudding stone kind of. I love rock hounding but I'm stuck watching others at this point and there's nothing really interesting where I'm at just sand stone and shale 😕 I have to live in the worst state for a rock collector
I know it's *_extremely_* rare to see bear or mountain lion there, but do odds go up during really bad droughts? Seems like they would, but I've only been out there once.

Are you hunting in Colorado by chance?
I love how you say the agates here aren’t Montana big and then find several HUGE agates!! I know that made your day!
Oh it definitely did!😂 usually they average about an inch or 2 in diameter in that creek so i certainly was not expecting to find any like that!
It was meant to be Theo; crossing the stream at the perfect place to find that beautiful blue! Simply Serendipitous and the last agate…so sublime. 😉☺️👏👏👏
Great to see you are getting some well deserved sponsors!
Nice Blue Agates & Petrified Wood.
Excellent finds and thanks for sharing your video...
You up around the Pryor's or Beartooth?
Beautiful country...
The hunt is as exciting as the finds! PS, love your sense of humor, hope you post "blooper" video sometime.
Wow! You hit the agate jackpot. Can't wait to see slabs from those beauties.

@@melindadutcher212 death in the jaws of a large carnivores is not at the top of my list😁

All the blues. They are so beautiful 🤩

I was checking comments to see if anyone else thought that one looked like a puddingstone…
It definitely looks like puddingstone! After further research ive actually found that it is river tumbled breccia. Its an extremely soft rock so i knew it couldnt be puddingstone but it is super cool nonetheless!😄 we may have to do a carving out of one of those!
The one at 6:00 is beautiful! Them dogs is happy dogs!!
That was a beautiful spot, higher up. You found some really spectacular rocks. Looking forward to another cutting video! As always. Lol. Thank you Theo
Cutting video will be coming soon!😄 and yes i absolutely love it up there!😁 nothing quite like high alpine Montana streams😄
Again I enjoyed watching your show. Yes I have subscribed, ages ago! Cut the red stone, cut the red stone! I think you might be pleasantly surprised or not lol. All the best from Australia.

sounds legit
Wow, Theo! You found such beautiful specimens. On that large agate find of the day- I hope you just clean it and polish a face on it.
Thats the current plan👍 ill have to cut it a little to get the show face flattened off but i dont think i wanna cut that beauty up😄
Nice stuff! Using the flashlight really helps to see some of the material on camera.
Awesome finds, cool seam agates.
Love your channel Theo! I'm new. Nothing like a good rock hunt & I look forward to your next one
Wow! Theo that place is as beautiful as those rocks! So did you guys have fish for dinner?😄
If I talked about every agate I liked this would be a very long comment haha. I am just blown away with the amazing agates you find.
I always say the same thing about bears where I'm at... I just make lots of noise...which is pretty easy for me 😆 they stay away. Cheers Theo✨
Montana is definitely an agate haven!😄 doesnt matter where you go in the state, youll probably still manage to find at least some agates😁
AWESOME rocks !! What a beautiful place to go rock hounding. I know most subscribers don’t care , but did you catch any trout?? I love to fish and pick up rocks !
Keep rockin!!👍😎
Bandtastic!

Thanks for not letting us down
Waiting for the next hunt qlready.

Thanks so much for sharing and teaching! There is no way i could pick out my favorite! I always enjoy and learn from you!

Those aren't human? 🧐🤔😶 Look like family to me. 🤙 Great finds!! Productive day.
I'll probably be in the minority here, but I would love to see that find of the day slabbed! Love the videos!
We'll get at least a slab or two off of it😁....unless they have iris that is😂 then the whole thing is turning into slabs!🤣
they all are great love them all
What an amazing hunt as usual! I actually would love to see some thin slabs off the find of the day before making it a shelf piece
I think im gonna have to take off at least one small slice😁 i mean, ill have to any way to polish it so i might as well!
Absolutely beautiful scenery! Loved the deer running through the creek! Also really liked the seam agates. Have you ever tried UV light on them?
Yes i have! These particular agates fo not flouresce BUT a lot of agates on the yellowstone do so im thinking we may need to do a blacklight rock hunt at some point😄

Bloody awesome day out thete mate. 🤓🙏 Need to see these cut Theo, i know the video is a bit old.. But have you cut these and i just missed it?
Awesome man, those look similar to the ones we have in B.C.
Such an epic hunt! Can't wait for you to facet that super clear one!!
Beautiful finds. Small and bought to tumble for a great shine.
Video time at 20:28 is possibly a brecciated jasper, but I cannot tell from the picture what the matrix is. Beautiful rock though.
The stone you weren't sure of was a pudding stone, they usually find them in Lake Michigan or that area.
The "I don't know" stone reminds me of a pudding stone...just in the wrong place
I was thinking the same thing 🤔
Oof, 107 degrees?!? I thought I was struggling to work outside the other day when it was 92 here in Ohio. I'm glad you found somewhere to cool off. Great finds as always!

😁🇨🇦♥️🇨🇦
You have an amazing inate talent for finding killer agates.good video thank you😎
20:30 that is red jaspis and calcite
@20:31 looks like 'pudding stone'!
Cool finds but the fisherman in me wants to know did u catch any lol
I truly wish you would take the time to SHOW us your finds in their natural environment. It would help us SEE what we should be looking for.

Hey I want to go agate hunting by the Yellowstone river. Soooo badly!😭
i a new subscriber i love this video
What is the name of the river? And what part are you on?
Threelled for you what beauties, love the hint of blue
Hello, can you please tell me which river this is?
Dude!!!!!
The third one I think may have been my favorite but really I liked them all and I also like the one that you weren't sure what it was it almost reminds me of pudding stone kind of. What mountains are you in theo?
I know it's *_extremely_* rare to see bear or mountain lion there, but do odds go up during really bad droughts? Seems like they would, but I've only been out there once.
Just tagged you in a post on FB Theo
Forgot to ask "How was the fishing?" 😆
* Isn't the one near end (20:28) a "Pudding Stone" ~ Looks like all the Pudding Stones I have seen except it has More inclusions..
But did you catch any fish?
Ever run across any dangerous minerals?
Seam agate.
❣💯👍
Lol you need a new word besides dude!
It looks like a potato.
