@@varshavivega6495 Not joking at all. Body-wide issues can be caused by bad or crooked teeth. Facial and neck issues, yes, but also tension down your entire upper body, blood poisoning from infected teeth and just gradual minor breakdown of your entire immune system from bad teeth can occur. In Dakota's case, a bad retainer was placing pressure on her entire head.
I couldn't afford dental care until I was in my mid 20s. I learned a lot about why I was so sick and in pain after finally getting some. For example, I had a tooth overlap I thought I'd need braces for. Nope, just needed the tooth that had grown in SIDEWAYS out. Each problem I solved was like a new wave of realizations.

There’s a muscle connected to your mastoid bone, the sternocleidomastoid (scm) which then connects to your clavicle and sternum and runs down the side of your neck, so if your jaw is trying to readjust it’d definitely affect that, plus, the pain of that rearranging would most likely cause you to clench your teeth at night or during the day and again, affect that muscle. If you can find a diagram showing where it connects (should be right under your ear on the bony bit but double check for exact placement) massaging that would probably help relieve some of the tension.

No answers until I begged to be check for POTS because a family member was diagnosed with that, turned out having consistently low blood pressure limiting oxygen reaching your brain does a lot of awful things (including making you sound like you’re making up random bs to doctors).

I had two jaw surgeries as well as having my tonsils removed before my orthodontist suggested it and it’s the be best decision I’ve ever made. Had I bit had that done my teeth wouldn’t align together perfectly and having my tonsils removed made me stop snoring, therefore I was no longer breathing throughout the night in a way that would harm my teeth.

    • @AnnekeOosterink

It's not the teeth themselves. It's the way you hold your jaw and tongue, if you keep those muscles tense for example, by clenching your jaw (often unconsciously) all the muscles in your neck and head and even back can be affected. Sometimes teeth can be in the way of people holding their jaw properly relaxed, or a retainer or braces get in the way, or stress makes people clench their jaw in their sleep etc etc.
