I am enjoying your videos so much. I am deeply grateful to you for making them. You speak with clarity, simplicity, and depth. You are so warm, welcoming, and thoughtful. It’s a joy to see you delighting in your daughter’s learning. I am also a middle-aged mama of an only child. It’s nice to see a bit of a reflection of myself when I watch your videos. Discovering your new channel, and realizing the return of Pepper and Pine, has made for a very exciting spring for me on TH-cam! Our daughter was about your daughter’s age when we took her to her first play. It was such a fun experience! We live in a small town that happens to have several wonderful theater companies, and we are very fortunate that we’ve been able to take our daughter to three extremely well done Shakespeare productions. She loves Shakespeare now!
Thank you so much for your kind words! You are so encouraging. And I learned something from you. How is it that I have never seen Pepper & Pine? I had never heard of the channel. Well, I immediately subscribed. Sometimes I think no matter how much I search, TH-cam only shows me a few homeschoolers, the same ones over and over even though there are thousands apparently. Yes, I'm an older momma. I had Morgan when I was 42. I was starting the adoption process when I discovered I was going to have Morgan. I had all but given up. I think I'm a better mom as an older person. I have had a few comments specifically about Shakespeare so I may spend some time focusing on that next year for a video. I think there is not a lot out there covering the arts, fine arts, deeper more complex arts for homeschool.
@@ThePattersonHomeschoolAcademy Thanks for your thoughtful reply! Yes, the mystery of the TH-cam algorithm! In spite of the fact that I am a secular, eclectic homeschooling mom of an only child, I only found your channel because it was mentioned in someone else’s video. I had my daughter 13 years ago when I was 40. So you and I are practically the same age. :) Agreed, I don’t think I could have pulled off motherhood nearly as well when I was younger. I am constantly in awe of younger moms. When I was in my 20s and 30s, I definitely did not have the maturity, selflessness, and patience that I see them offering their children. Motherhood when you didn’t think you were going to get to…such a wonder and so much fun! But, oh, the exhaustion is intense! I am just loving your channel, and I look forward to each video. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this!
Thanks! I'm so glad you like them. I've been saving a lot of questions that I answer directly to those who ask but I know many people don't read other comments so I may use them to do a Q&A video. So glad you like the videos 😊
LOL! We needed to fill some gaps and I found a mastery program where we could do a page here and there really fixed our little challenge. It wasn't cheap and I don't want to do it again! But we are on track now, phew!
