From my own experience the best way to give a death notification is to not prolong the news be clear and use simple words, because I can garentee you once you hear the words that your loved one has died you basically don't hear anything else. The shock is almost instant and everything becomes a blur

When my cousin was murdered the only way my family and I ever found out was I was googling my cousins name. I found on the internet articles from media everywhere about the fact my cousin had been murdered, 4 shots short range to the stomach and 1 shot to his head. We didn't courtesy of notification. That's the worst way family members can ever find this out.
Isn't sad, it's the worst possible news anyone could get. Whether it's an Officer or a Couple driving down the street or an unarmed law abiding Kid with no record whose shot 25 times by the Cops for absolutely nothing.
