They fought for the Republic as the loyalty between the soldiers and the regime went both ways, but in the case of the Empire, the soldier was expected to carry out all orders in the name of the regime in return for nothing.

Sometimes I'll find myself loving the clones more then the main characters. 🥺 I belive that homeless clone recongnized Obi Wan and gave a small nod of respect in the series. 😭

@@mansm7968 Before the clone wars inhibitor chips plotline, yes. The clones knew the whole time that someday they would be ordered to turn on their Jedi. Very few refused, the main reason the Jedi didn't see it coming was because the clones had no malice or hatred in their hearts, so there was virtually no warning they could sense.

I grew up with The Clone Wars after the Original and Prequel Trilogies of Star Wars. And before the Sequel Trilogy as well

The first scene that made me love the clones and feel sorrow for them that they saw themselves as expendable.
It also shows how the dark side tries to create the illusion that the force is all the same and belongs to it.

During the three years of the Clone wars me and my brother's fought hard , for the Republic we would say amidst the intensive heat of combat . No it was nothing like the simulations on Kamino , true hell is what comes to mind . Many of my brothers never made it out to see the next light of day . We all new during operations this is what we clone s are breed for we are soldiers mark with just another number for war . Three long years flesh and machine collided on the vast battle front s of the galaxy .Out number out gun some how the Republic managed to still won .But in the end what was all this for , to this day i still struggle to put it together. Who am I it doesn't matter I'm just another number .

"we all originally thought that good soldiers fallowed orders, without question or hesitation, but as the war dragged on, as we were repeatedly confronted with trail after trail, a lot of us realized that it isn't all about following orders and obeying command, it's about doing what's right, even if your thust into harms way, or if your faced with death penalty, a good soldier does what's right, regardless of orders.

Officially, there never was a 'Clone rebellion' on Kamino. Unofficially, approximately twenty years after we were created, a special detachment of the Imperial 501st Legion was dispatched to Kamino with orders to eradicate an army of clones that had been bred to take arms against the Empire. Our mission commander, an expert on the inner workings of Kamino, was a young bounty hunter named Boba Fett. After all those years, I still cannot forget this tragic mistake we made.
