you're thinking of it as a complementary piece but that's what gives the flavor of the dish. You might as well say the other chicken can't use rub then.
@@mattwonder4657 no dude, for that chicken the sauce IS like the rub. If you noticed the seasoning before the sauce part it's bland. The sauce is what makes the dish. You can't separate it otherwise it isn't the recipe.
@@Vendrix86 no lol I was looking to see if there were any korean restaurants near me I could try but none. Also I think we could have had better representation for US if there were someone else cooking that chicken, no way it should've gone out that early 😅
@@bcbritt777 the US really only has the buttermilk chicken and buffalo wings but not much else. They're great but the sheer depth of flavor and variety you get with korean chicken doesn't compare. Leagues different.
@@Vendrix86 yeah but if one is allowed to have an accompanying sauce then they all should. put sawmill gravy over that southern chicken and im sure it wouldve won.
Fun video as usual. 4 quick things: 1) Full Disclosure: I'm American. Now that's out of the way... Booooo. Boooo. One of the judges is biased. Throw the bum out. The guy on the left had prior prejudice against American fried chicken. He was judging one of the earlier pairs and he specifically said that 'the best thing about this chicken is it's not American.' Boooo... But that Dominican chicken did look amazing and I may try it sometime. But, still. Boooo. 2) A few people in the comments have a really fun idea. That channel really needs to have 2 competitions, one with pros and the other with home cooks. That would be awesome so we can see two ways the dish can be made. Which brings me to... 3) There's a channel that does this. I can't recall the name of the show (maybe someone in here knows and can post it). It's a black channel with mostly black contestants though there are occasionally other groups on there. They compete in cooking a dish and the contestants -- usually between grandmas, aunts, uncles, men, women, etc -- try to make the best home cooked recipe for the dish. Then, the contestants taste And rate each other's food -- which is really funny because it's like the scene in Pirates of the Caribbean when they had to vote for a pirate king and everyone just kept voting for themselves. Haha And lastly, 4) I'm still throwing out the "Grillin' With AB" suggestion. It's amazing. Thank you for another fun video
I don't even need to watch this, I've tried them all. The answer is Korea or the Philippines. edit : not enough votes, but PH chicken is insanely good. Didn't he rate Jollibee as the best chicken joint? That's Filipino
I’ve had fried chicken in Korea before and I’m always checking if a Jollibee is opening up in Colorado. My best friend growing up was Filipina and her mom made the BEST fried chicken. I do have a soft spot for Japanese fried chicken, but I did eat it about three times a week during the six years I lived there. 😂
The real winner in this kind of contest is the judges because even the losers that got knocked out of the competition are still good. In the end, you are just eating a bunch of good food!
who in America actually makes fried chicken with MSG? I guess that's what you get at a restaurant, but who really goes to a restaurant for fried chicken? It's gotta be homemade.
A lot more people than you think (including me). Unless you need to cautious about sodium intake MSG makes everything better and is already in tomatoes, mushrooms, broccoli and some nuts. King of Flavor!!!
All depends what style of chicken you like. Southern fried chicken is American but some people like Korean bbq chicken better. But this test doesn't seem kosher. You got boneless chicken competing with bone in. Not gone be the same.
Anyone that have eaten Dominican Dominican food specifically "chicharron de pollo" knows it surpasses Korea and Japan that has become a trend like hot spicy kill your taste buds food.
As America's favorite Brazilian. I must say we have the Best Restaurants with fresh meat. Anywhere Brazilians go. People love it
Those all you can eat? Hmm❤
Parabéns! 🤙😂🍻
Tambaqui is my favorite fish I’ve ever had, and cupuaçu is my favorite fruit. But y’all have to sit out on the frango frito competition lol
Old fashion Southern Fried chicken from 100 year old recipe is the best
The one dish allowed to have sauce won? Shocker.
I’m saying. Why was that one sauced up 😂
you're thinking of it as a complementary piece but that's what gives the flavor of the dish. You might as well say the other chicken can't use rub then.
@@Vendrix86 they all used rub so it was fair. Idk why for the US they didn’t do a buffalo wing or something like that then.

That was so not fair. If that was the case, Buffalo Chicken could have entered the contest.
The honduras chicken with plantain and sauce is crazy.
Obviously they needed someone's black Auntie in the kitchen to cook that southern fried chicken 😂😂
obviously you've never had korean fried chicken lol

Yeah, and that's the reason Korea has so many franchises around the world of KFC. Oh, wait wait wait a minute, riiiiiiight, ain't that some shit?!
South Korea actually has really good chicken
You gotta remember it all is up to you
Did anyone else notice the 12/5 upset win (same as in the NCAA Tournament)?
Ay ay ayy nah no hell nah this competition is rigged!! 🤬😤 Yall dont do that to my thai chicken !🤣🇹🇭💪♥️
Check out Yoel and Mari. Great Channel 💛
Definitely makes you appreciate the western world
There is so much more flavor when you leave it on the bone.
Brasil might win this. They serve so much option
Washington DC in Maryland old bay Dry rub
Put a little Cajun sauce in there and i'm happy
Or just dump a lot of salt on it…same damn taste
The best fried chicken: Chickenjoy at Jollibee. They have a location in London. I’d love to see the Office Bloke Family try it.
I love Korean fried chicken, but I would eat all of them at least once. Aiden what turds look like that, just asking for a friend.

Double fry and cover any of these of recipes in sauce they are going to taste better wtf Josh 😂

Korea needed sauce to win. Fried chicken doesn't have sauce.
I don't think it's fair for USA to just be represented by Southern Fried Chicken. We have Buffalo Chicken, Nashville Hot. Come on.
Korean fried chicken beating American fried chicken literally because the audience doesn’t want to seem like homers 😂 I’m sorry but it’s true.
