That detail about the patient is definitely intentional, it's neat. Also, it's confirmed by the creator that Myeong-hoon never cheated and it was just a rumor that Bok-su spread, which makes his death even sadder. Poor guy just wanted to enjoy his wedding :(
just every repeated detail! Da-jeong turning to look at Bok-su, the scalpel and knife and the placement of the body (and the wound) and the dialogue !!
That looked like an expression of anger. First a smile at her in tatters, then anger at what she did to her. Also, revenge isnt empty in and of itself. It can be for sure, where you go so far for it only to lament once you realize how much it costs, but you can absolutely come out in the black.

It's the sad irony that he invited her, thinking his fiancé would be happy to see an old friend - he made one decision without consulting the bride-to-be and it caused his death
I actually have friends that met that way. She accidentally hit him with her car (at a low speed) and they got to know each other and fell madly in love and married at like, 18/19 and had a kid. That kid should be like 13ish by now, and they're still married. Wild.
While what the lead is doing is not right it makes you ask if we can trust the bride. The bride met the groom as part of an accident where the groom took all the blame. Most people wouldn't help so much if you crashed into their vehicle, helping the victim of your accident means they are less likely to press charges or react negatively. They just coincidentally hit things off. The point of how many people she killed, all for throwing the lead and maybe others under the bus, is incredibly valid. Then we get the real question were the lead and bride friends or was the bride using the lead to get through medical school? Our lead showed regret, while the bride never did. Well said. Though some people who exact revenge don't feel regret. They feel joy for a moment and then emptiness. The only ones who live on happily are those who gained a lot as a result (fame, fortune, etc.), or are insane. In the case of this game, I'm thinking Bok-Su is just insane. The pain she felt drove her to become a monster with only one goal. Maybe she does feel sadness or regret judging by that last shot, but who knows?
I personally don't think the lead felt regret - at most only for the groom and his family, but she also probably thought he was a fool for falling for Da-Jeong (which could have been interpreted from her expressions when he told her how they met). I think her expression at the end was trying to hide within the crowd - if she showed no reaction or was seen smiling, she'd be suspected as the only other one at the scene. She only lets Da-Jeong see her smile, then immediately fakes disgust/horror at what happened.
bro justice for myeong-hoon, he was innocent but got murdered then later on possibly gets remembered as a cheater even though it's just a rumor spreaded by bok-su
Korean here. The name Da-jeong means considerate, kind while Bok-su means revenge. Quite fitting I should say. You can also see Myeong-hoon's mother wearing hanbok, traditional clothing usually worn by mothers during weddings.
I find it a bit ironic how Da-jeong means considerate and kind but she had been the complete opposite to Bok-su after framing her for killing a patient
I feel really bad for Bok-su. She said she'd never kill a patient, and yet she was so driven by revenge that she murdered an innocent man, and it didn't hit her until it was already done.
Another excellent game from the Dead Plate dev. This was just solid from start to finish. Our protagonist isn't exactly a saint but I do like that true ending. Shame for the groom, he literally did nothing wrong, but you got to give credit to a proper revenge plan.
Would've loved if there was a twist at the end, Like, turns out she did repent and was non-praticing. Or dropped out soon after the incident. The friend would've put all this effort into her revenge just to discover that it was far too late to turn back.
Even if that were the case, she never once tries to apologize, and makes it seem like she's more concerned her happy day is getting messy. Plus it would have probably made her even more angry, since then "what was the point of all that then?"
@@chainchomp3500 Also, she goes through the trouble of blaming everything on her friend but then drops out anyway? At that point, tell the truth so your friend can go back if she really regretted it.
I liked this more than I expected - at first I thought the alibi setup was pretty weak, since everyone saw them go in together and the protagonist changed her clothes, but the right details came in to make it work. It's almost a Machiavellian justice - they both kill people and suffer consequences for it, just not at the right time; arguably not the right punishments either, since the bride will probably suffer more serious punishment for murder than the protagonist faced for accidental manslaughter, but the protagonist suffered unjustly while the bride forced that suffering onto her for however many years, so you could also argue that it evens out. Really nice work, it almost reminds me of old Victorian short stories.
I agree! Also I feel like Bok-su changing her clothes could be excused as her simply taking off her top layer for comfort reasons- since it looks like she was just wearing a jacket over a regular outfit. Not sure about the witnesses, though 🤔
This has been the best revenge story I read in awhile. Yeah there was a lot of coincidences, but it was a fresh read and the details leading up to it was great. I just loved the parallel between both people.

@@marcelinelansing7475 You still get malpractice insurance as a student at least in the states. It's usually arranged by the school. I don't know enough about what happened, but any form of medical care that involved a scalpel would run some sort of risk that could probably be covered.
@@johannessmith1369 I guess more what I meant is that I don't know if Malpractice Insurance really would have prevented what happened. I’ve seen quite a bit of theories about why Bok-su frowned at the end and I just wanted to share mine!! I think it’s anger. She did all of that. She had that shit planned out. All to make Da-jeong-in her words- ‘atone’ (honestly pretty fair choice of words). AFTER ALL THAT, nothing. Not an “I’m sorry.”, “I was wrong.”, or an “I apologize.”. NOTHINGGGGG, and I’ve been in situations kinda similar where someone will go through hell and high water FOR AN APOLOGY. THATS LITERALLY IT. So TLDR: Da-Jeong didn’t apologize or wtv tf Bok-su meant by ‘atone’ and Bok-su was angry (“I KILLED YOUR MAN, AS WELL AS FRAMED YOU FOR BEING CRAZY AND MURDERER AND YOU STILL WONT SAY ‘IM SORRY’?!”)
omg another racheldrawsthis!!! TwT Thank you manly for playing more of their games, i love their art & unusual way of making story that filled with angst and no happy ending, manly reading their dialogues is just adding cherry on top
I love the plot on this one, an eye for an eye, I mean you gotta appreciate all the stars aligning to find a way to make her suffer the exact same pain as her- the pain of being framed, of being accused of something you didn’t do, and now she’ll be going to prison for something she didn’t do
I really enjoy this creator's writing, they do such a good job making compelling characters with only a few points to jump from. Showing what made someone break in only a few words and jumping from there. And doing so in only seven rooms too, real masterclass in the strength of small size. (Oh and Bok-Su's handsome too, but that's to be expected from this guy's broken killers.)
did NOT expect him to play this woa, I really hope that Manly plays Elevator Hitch at some point, seems absolutely perfect for his channel i love how everything circles back, the dialogue, the victims and the reaction of their parents, the CGs reflecting each other, even the placement of the injury on the side of the neck, and the murder weapons being similar

It’s weird that half the characters look like Manly. I thought it would be a fan game about him. Why would the bride tell her fiancé about this classmate she betrayed? She told him enough about her that he was able to track her down to invite her, yet she never said anything about them even parting on bad terms, or something vague like that? And why were two medical students performing surgery alone, with no supervision? I hope that’s not how they train surgeons in Korea.
She was probably scared he'd find out about what happened between her and Bok-su, so she never mentioned something negative. Her and Bok-su's relationship is almost romance coded, so de-jeoung could've mentioned her past relationships; they were at least close friends. And I can see De-jeoung mentioning Bok to him for those reasons. Him contacting Bok-su is a stretch, but I wouldn't be shocked if her number or profile was buried deep somewhere in de-jeoungs phone. As for why they were practicing alone? I have no idea lmao maybe their supervisor was monitoring multiple things at once and left them alone briefly. The whole story is a little bit of a stretch (esp the close burning part) but it's still a satisfying one
The artwork is great, but the music is absolutely fantastic. Clicked as soon as I could cause it reminded me of Dead Plate, happy to know the creator is doing more stuff :D
I’d like to think the cannon ending is the one where the main character dies. Then the bride has no way out, and has to live with knowing she killed 2 people, lost her fiancée, and also has to go to jail. Also I get the sense that the main character doesn’t really care about their fate atp.
YAY MANLY POSTED!!!!!! ive been waiting for you to try a game like this for a lil while, since i remember you played dead plate as well. Good video, Manly! :)
Gosh, the art is so pretty. I always love watching/playing these kinds of games and wonder to myself "how could I turn this around in a sort of AU where we get a happier ending." So, at first, I was like "Oh, this is easy. MC chooses NOT to do what she ends up doing." But then I found out she had a reason and it was actually a bit sad to watch...I realized that it wouldn't have been as easy to just...make the MC just not do it. We have a reason for her wanting to cause pain to the bride. I guess the alternative would be that the bride goes and tries to apologize for the accident and, miraculously, gets the MC to not kill the poor groom. ...Or, hay, turn it to where the groom KNEW the person that the bride killed (maybe a brother or close friend) and the MC tells the groom about what happened (...before the murdering) and THAT'S how she gets her revenge. ... ... And, why not. Let the MC end up marrying the groom instead. I don't know.
I remember seeing intimate fanart of this and thinking that it was going to be a GL or a queer angst story the same way I saw discovered Dead-plate. But it showed one of the most toxic relationships ever. I feel so tricked 😭
I feel bad for the groom (forgot his name), and in no way is his death justified People always say “oh it’s fine that an innocent uninvolved person died because his wife killed-“ but his wife didn’t kill them on purpose: yes it was wrong to frame them but it was a total accident. They didn’t WANT to kill an innocent person. The Protagonist did Can you tell I forgot all their named
I feel like using the same kind of injury that she was accused of before might be evidence in the wrong direction, unless she also wants to reverse that previous incident, too?
I love how manly can instantly pick up on the characters personality amd mood and then give them the perfect tone to match and it makes its just so much more entertaining ❤

All because he wanted to do something nice and invited Bok-su. Poor guy sealed his own fate 😢
“Nothing is going wrong and nobody is dying.”
John Cena: “Are you sure about that?!”
This is a whole K-drama. Could have been an episode in The Glory to be honest
He did it everyone, he played Married in Red!!
I knew Manly was going to play this game!
@@chainchomp3500
Also, she goes through the trouble of blaming everything on her friend but then drops out anyway? At that point, tell the truth so your friend can go back if she really regretted it.
She never said 1 sorry.
Ah yes. I love getting married where everyone has red paint splashed onto them! Definitely nothing nefarious.
Nah thats not red paint thats ketchup
Ketchup, you’re never getting your deposit back 😱
Can't help but have the "painting the roses red" (from Disney's old animated Wonderland film) playing in my head.
In real life its way more complicated. Even glove prints can be used to trace a criminal. There's lot of stuff that can be found out by investigation.
This has been the best revenge story I read in awhile. Yeah there was a lot of coincidences, but it was a fresh read and the details leading up to it was great. I just loved the parallel between both people.
Man, she did, truly, marry in red
*crowd cheers*
And that's why you have malpractice insurance.
Not when you're still a student I guess. :o Student still killed a dude due to criminal negligence so gettin' oustered from the program at the very least probbo would have happened anyway.
@@marcelinelansing7475 You still get malpractice insurance as a student at least in the states. It's usually arranged by the school. I don't know enough about what happened, but any form of medical care that involved a scalpel would run some sort of risk that could probably be covered.
@@johannessmith1369Unfortunately it was in Korea so perhaps it is different 😔
@@johannessmith1369 I guess more what I meant is that I don't know if Malpractice Insurance really would have prevented what happened. Malpractice Insurance makes sure she's covered if she gets sued, but it's not like she was necessarily financially ruined. If the mistake was egregious enough, the school may have said 'okay no, you're done, get out'.
So TLDR: Da-Jeong didn’t apologize or wtv tf Bok-su meant by ‘atone’ and Bok-su was angry
(“I KILLED YOUR MAN, AS WELL AS FRAMED YOU FOR BEING CRAZY AND MURDERER AND YOU STILL WONT SAY ‘IM SORRY’?!”)
that makes sense!
Man, that's actually scary, not in monster type scary, but to the point she went to made revenge. That's amazing
Man, the groom was so sweet 😢
damn! an actually really compelling and good indie horror game, the motive was good and vaguely made you feel for the killer
Oof poor husband. 💀
The artstyle is so pretty~
I keep pausing just to look at the character expressions.
Struggling mentally currently and it’s like a breath of fresh air when you post thank you funky man
Bok-su's aesthetic are goals~
Backstory be like: Introvert being adopted by Extrovert--gone wrong
The girls are fightiiingggg
(Also dear god, I love the artstyle so much it's so amazing)
NOOOOO WAYYYY THE GIRLS ARE FIGHTINGGGGGG!!!!!
17:15 THAT FIRST OPTION (with the dog) SCARED ME
Omg I love how Vincent and Rody are guests at the wedding and that they’re sitting by all of the food lol!
Those are actually Bennie and Eddie, other character from Studio Investigrave for a future project. Not Vincent and Rody.
@@emartin29 ohhh gotcha. From that angle they kind of looked like Vincent and Rody, my mistake
I'm sure there's some symbolic meaning for Bok-su gradually removing the layers on her clothes as their plan unfolds that I'm missing
I thought that s well
I Guess It means revealing her intentions?
i dream with the day manly will explain the ""empty like my soul" joke lore
it's a dialogue from a game called Grey Garden when you check the trash
@@kochiyamochiyaI never knew ! Thank you 😮
Pretty self explanatory lol
Were all invited for the wedding. 💍
That was actually a really good story for how short it was.
Not gonna lie, the revenge was pretty satisfying to see
omg another racheldrawsthis!!!
(Oh and Bok-Su's handsome too, but that's to be expected from this guy's broken killers.)
did NOT expect him to play this woa, I really hope that Manly plays Elevator Hitch at some point, seems absolutely perfect for his channel
i love how everything circles back, the dialogue, the victims and the reaction of their parents, the CGs reflecting each other, even the placement of the injury on the side of the neck, and the murder weapons being similar
17:23 the "phrased wrong" part was funny lmao
Vincent made the cake
To be fair, it was a pretty nice dress. I'd wanna wear something like that ngl, but for my wedding we chose Ming Dynasty style.
Idk how to explain the rush of satisfaction from when I could pronounce the names and read the hangeul
I love the detail of how it completely came full circle like all the details of what happened in the past also took place here
why would she do that to a innocent man when she understood what it is like to be innocent
It was revenge sadly, it was undeserved and she thought it was the best way to get back at her
31:38 the moment reality hits
and now she knows what its like to be guilty
holy SHIT this plot is fire
A scapegoat tactic as the main course with a side or poetic justice and for dessert, sweet revenge and a dexd plate. im full now.
when someone is just wearing black at a wedding and I'm like "funeral"
It's a terrible day for a wedding.
me when i visit a wedding where nothing goes wrong and no one dies (yet)
I love enjoying these kinds of horror games. It always absorbs my attention to good story telling based on reality itself.
Red weddings are my favorite. How RED WEDDING are you???
Okay, but why do these devs go making such beautiful murders? My heart can’t take it.
i love this persons art style so much - gives me old 90s anime vibes with a modern twist
Ruining lives, ruining lives.
I can tell a massive fandom will be created after this
There's people shipping Da Jeong and Bok Su on shipping lol
‘Red means I love you’
WAKE UP BABE HE'S PLAYING THE TOXIC YURI GAME LET'S GOOOOO
BABE: "MAYBE I'LL SIT THAT ONE OUT" 🛌😴
Yuri?? 💀
Bro what?
Are we assuming everything that has two characters knowing eachother is yuri, yaoi, or romance? Ffs, this is mha all over again-
@@Annie-wy5mc oh god no- this is actually giving MHA flashbacks (ochako and the villain girl whose name I forgot)
Anyway FR like they clearly hate each other and made each other's lives a living hell, how tf is this Yuri!? Also the bride girl literally had a husband she was gonna marry yo☹️
What he did to her is exactly what she did to him. That's why his smile died at the last second. He was momentarily fulfilled by his revenge plot, but his heart broke [again] at doing this
Bok-su is also a woman, but I can see the confusion. I thought she was a guy at first too 😅
@@avacadotoast5571 lmao I see, well whoops, there goes my theory
What a nice, heart warming family story
wow what a lovely man in a pink suit ! sure hope he doesnt die !!!!!☺🌸
girl I was waiting for you to play this, thank god. Love me some toxic beautifully tragic yuri-like games where someone changes the trajectory of somebody else's life
It’s weird that half the characters look like Manly.
Revenge stories are always really satisfying, he might _technically_ be in the wrong, but it really did get the message across.
I like that it was a pretty straightforward black and grey situation. Enjoyable for a game of this length.
Gosh, the art is so pretty.
I always love watching/playing these kinds of games and wonder to myself "how could I turn this around in a sort of AU where we get a happier ending."
So, at first, I was like "Oh, this is easy.
This game is soooo The Glory coded. I love it!! Dead Plate was so cool, I'm so happy to see more games from this dev!! :}
I feel bad for the groom (forgot his name), and in no way is his death justified
People always say “oh it’s fine that an innocent uninvolved person died because his wife killed-“ but his wife didn’t kill them on purpose: yes it was wrong to frame them but it was a total accident. They didn’t WANT to kill an innocent person. The Protagonist did
Can you tell I forgot all their named
Excellent writing and solid plot in this one! Really enjoyed it!
As soon as I saw the art i knew it was deadplate and instantly clicked- they're such a good writer it was impossible not to
Damn the art is incredible, and the story is amazing too, saw the video this morning and waited all day to watch it, worth the wait
I feel like using the same kind of injury that she was accused of before might be evidence in the wrong direction, unless she also wants to reverse that previous incident, too?
oh my gosh I’m so happy you played this!! Been waiting for your playthrough when I saw the game was released
I love how manly can instantly pick up on the characters personality amd mood and then give them the perfect tone to match and it makes its just so much more entertaining ❤
I like how the main character at the end kind of frowns or smth and realized revenge wasnt worth it and what she did was wrong
