Couldn't agree more, Scott. Zero depth in the mini games. Even my kids are done with them after the first few days. I have NO clue where I'm going to store them.... I'll admit the robot kit is my favorite out of everything, but it's also the largest of all the contraptions, and still lacks some much needed depth.
Yep. Minigames are near worthless(unless u a kid who wants a piano but cant afford a real one or something), Garage is kinda the point.
Honestly yeah. The only thing I could see holding interest their for a while is the ToyCon Garage, but then again your kids might not be old enough to fully understand/work with it. Hell I'd buy Garage if Nintendo sold it desperately on the EShop for like 5 dollars

I love how, even while being one of the only people who could call themselves a "true gamer" and nobody would bat an eye, Scott still appreciates and understands when games are made for a younger/more casual demographic and doesn't criticize them for it.

Nicolas Recalde there's a lot of content, from what I heard, my brother (who is 21) played the fishing pole all night (as in three hours as he bought it at night)
Nicolas Recalde also from what I know the House is really in depth, the motorcycle is very in depth as it has its own Mario maker type deal, piano (people have played the Wii shop channel on it, need I say more?), RC Car (it's an RC Car), and oh gosh the garage is huge someone literally basically made ARMS with it
Nintendo has a tendency of jumping the gun when it comes to innovation. I appreciate that they're trying something new, but projects like the labo definitely could have benefited from more thought and development
Yeah, this one could have used a LOT more time in the oven. Definite potential, but like 1-2-Switch, better as a tech demo than a full release.

While I mostly agree with your assessment of the play mode, some (some) toy cons are more replayable. Also, a lot of it is making your own stuff, which isn’t for everybody, but it’s a lot of fun. But I totally agree, I’d like to see toycons focused on the play part in the future. Even Labo as accessories to games would be cool.

Ultimately, variety kit n°1 is great as a proof of concept. I'd love for more switch games to explore that "add 5$ to the boxed version pricetag to get some cheap cardboard to add on your controllers to create completely new control schemes", but I honestly don't think much if any games will try that out - even after the relative success of Labo.
To me, Labo is Link's crossbow training's big plasticy rifle, but with cheap cardboard instead of costly plastic, and the fun of making it, too. It genuinely has potential, but what are the odds anybody's going to try following in Nintendo's footsteps here?

I don’t think they really want other companies to copy them. they just do stuff cause they wanna. other companies just copy them when they wanna get some money from the idea too

Wouᴉʞɐ MONIKA ɒʞinom I hope there isn't a BoTW2. BoTW was fun from what I have played of it but I think Nintendo would be better off trying to mix the old with the new when it comes to 3D Zelda. Or maybe even (hopeful thinking alert!) Create a linear and open world 3D zelda, or if a not linear Zelda then a 2.5D zelda.

My brother made a VR helmet plus gun in Nintendo Labo, you put the helmet on and you play a series of VR minigames using the gun. It works really well actually, tracks your head movements and everything.

Do a video on on Nintendo starlight fun centers they were Nintendo consoles that were donated to hospitals by Nintendo and they had some of the best games of the consoles games on it. (ALSO THE WII STARLIGHT FUN CENTER HAS MADDEN 08 aka GOD)
PLEASE do a vid on it it really helped me out. I came across them at Namours A.I DuPont hospital for children. It really helped me get through my stay and was so thankful Nintendo was able to donate those machines
