Always looking good, was sparring at the gym today and someone asked me if you knew MMAShredded? I said yeah! He said you fight just like him haha, I guess the vids are working. Keep up the good work.
These are amazing combos thanks for sharing. The slowed down clips are particularly useful as well as having the combos written down in the description.
I don't know if you put this video as "unlisted" on purpose, but just letting you know. Love your vids, I'm learning so much from them, keep doing god's work!
Great video as always! Thank you for including the combos written out in long format, and for adding the slow motion. Your pad holder is amazing as well!
Those combinations are BOSS. Definitely adding these and will try to get smooth with them. Excellent flow and technique! And your pad holder is really good too!
Watching this kind of vids is so relaxing and satisfying. I shared it with my local muaythai community. U deserve way more subs than u have Jeff. Ps my fave is combo 9 11 and 13
hey man watched you in Bali last month,, you were sparring then you stretching, very intense,, I really appreciate what you doing - putting these videos is out here 👍💪👊
The problem with long combos like these is that people usually stay stationary while throwing 5, 10, 12 strikes in a row. Great movement with these, props to you and especially your partner, a good holder is a blessing. Love the fakes/slips in the combos, love the switch kick and and the cross (supermanish/old school thai) off the leg check, love the throw-away touch strikes setting up real strikes. love that you didn't list the combos. If someone is at a level to get something out of this video they're good enough to see them. Your knee strike looks great, must have worked on that in Thailand :-) Where do you train? I travel in Ontario a lot and try to cross train wherever I go. To be a *cringe* keyboard warrior, your spinning backfist could use a little work. Have enjoyed your videos pretty much since you started putting them up, keep up the great work, I'll keep watching. edit - lol, you did list them. Ah well, helpful for beginners i guess
I def agree that these huge combos would never work in a fight, thus the title says for building rhythm and flow. Thanks for the feedback though, I admit my spinning backfist needs work haha! The combos seem complicated but if you break them down and start with 3 strikes at a time and add another 3 and so on, is much easier! I currently train at Barrhaven martial arts centre but plan to go to Tristar in January
@@MMAShredded Wasn't saying there was anything wrong with this kind of training, quite the opposite, I was more complimenting that fact that you guys cover distance while hitting, mimicking a fight, with slips and checks added in, opposed to standing in the same spot for 12 strikes in a row, usually with no defence in mind. For pure flow you've got a really nice mix of "natural" combo elements ie left hook to right round kick, and more counterintuitive movements, like doubling up on the cross. If I find myself in Ottawa I will definitely check out your gym. Going back to Tristar? Nice! simple building blocks quickly aggregate to seeming complexities. And thanks for replying!
Your videos are so helpful. With the wrestling season and my junior year keeping me so damn busy, I had to put my muay thai membership on hold and I have been unable to find time to make it to the gym and train regularly. With videos like these I can still get in some meaningful practice in my garage on the bag. Hopefully once the wrestling season ends I can get back to drilling and sparing with little rust.
I’m still a scrub but I’ll definitely see if I can apply some of these in my workouts. Great vid man, I started watching some of your stuff not too long ago and the quality of your content is magnificent! Wish you the best in your fighting adventure ✌🏼
@@MMAShredded I live on Florida so im a bit outa the way. But as i continue my rise as a fighter, im definitely gonna have to get you to give me tips on my sparin / fights
I am not Jeff but here is what I can offer perhaps it can help you out. 1. Throw your teeps when people engage, not when they stand still, this way it does its job of keeping opponents at bay and it can't get caught easily because the opponent is using his body to engage. 2. do not look at your feet or at the landing area when you throw your teep or body shot, eye contact manipulation pushes your game a lot and makes you unpredictable. 3. if you find yourself throwing too much teeps to an extent where the opponent might start to counter, set them up with something else, throw some faints or show your opponent another dangerous weapon so they have something else to shift their focus on.
if I see that my opponent catches a lot, I dont fully commit to the kick and retract back as soon as the kick lands. Also the tip from wisdom, throw them as a counter and it is a lot less likely it will be caught!
Good stuff! I have the worst memory and coordination putting together long combos. Very frustrating when I'm working with a partner and forget the combos half way through. :(
