You nailed Nick Diaz my bro. I was so waiting for you to throw that Stockton Slap bro🤣🤣🤣 the body shot almost buckled your sparring partners. Love it!!!!
I love the way you not only show your successful attempts of a combination or technique you perform but also show how they were unsuccessful at certain moments. Overall great video and great content 🙏
love how he always uses attacks to the head, even if they dont hit to just keep them busy upstairs and then hits them with body strikes. Would have loved to see him throw more bodyshots against silva
the left cross, hand trap, body hook combination is by far my favourite combination of all time. I usually put a left kick or an inside leg kick straight after. works wonders.
excellent execution here in the sparring. For the failed attempts, if we explore more as to why it failed, notice that you need the partner to stay stationary for the body shot to land on the first strategy shown here. If they move, you'll miss your shot. What Nick Diaz will often do is cut off the cage and force the opponent to it so they don't have anywhere to go, increasing the chances of the tactic working. The failed attempt here serves an alternatively cool way of learning when you look into the reasons why something failed.
I'm a big fan of Nick you was actually pretty successful with some of those combos, you should polish em and use them you was doing good with em. The rear uppercut lead hook would have been cool too. Good shit man
It’s awesome that boxing in mma is different then just pure boxing since you have a lot more things to worry about in mma you can see it in the stances of an mma fighter and a boxer
Whenever this channel uploads, you know you're in for a treat. I'm a huge Diaz fan and boxing wise his styles very similar to mine. Loves seeing you pull this off in sparring as usual.
Thanks for the amazing video! I do, however, have three notes on the scrabble/ multiple jabs. When I do it against my brother, I am usually intercepted with his long guard into a turning to the body or a lead foot teep. My second note is: you didn't do jabs, rather hooks(I am sorry if I am incorrect, please correct me for any mistakes). My third note is: Those jabs can have power, but are immensely difficult to do and best done as a counter. Coach Anthony Joshua shows how to do it on youtube, but it is much harder to do in MMA because of the kicks (note 1). Sorry for being a nuisance and I hope you keep up the hard work. Thank you!
First time checking out your video great content I like what I see Im a huge Nick Diaz fan so this was a great way for me to start off. You got a new subscriber keep up the great work😎
Jeff, do you find that the lead body hook leaves you too exposed to counter rights? I noticed you were throwing jabs or other blinders, then doing that rear body hook + front hook to the head combo.
I have a random question, what do you think of palm strikes? I used to think that they were ineffective but I’ve recently saw Bas Rutten do them when I was watching random mma videos. What are your thoughts?
@@MMAShredded Oooh no wonder, I checked and I couldn't find it on the front page so I assumed you hadn't done one yet haha. But yeah I just watched his fight again against Ortega and then his first UFC fight against Dustin (both on Yutube again for fight week) and there's a world of difference there now. He's come a looong way. Haha a new video might be a good idea.

Speaking of cool boxing tactics, check out the pro boxing world's "Drunken Master". Arguably better in his prime than Lomachenko. th-cam.com/video/xL9TDcXvDCw/w-d-xo.html Crazy difficult to replicate because it's inherently fluid, instinctive, and adaptive on the fly ... exactly what Bruce Lee was talking about when he mentioned "broken rhythm" to Inosanto in Game of Death.
@@MMAShredded Most people looking at that video will just say "oh cool", but for those of us who've actually sparred a little and given the martial arts a modicrum of thought and passion over the years will be awestruck. I look at those last sequences near the end, where he's gracefully weaving in broken rhythm and landing at will while his opponent (himself a highly ranked and skilled fighter) keeps whiffing one punch after another utter futility, and i'm actually humbled, because even though I've occasionally been flagged as gifted in a few narrow disciplines and hobbies over the years, I know in my soul that THAT kinda skill was/is forever beyond me. Great to have back breaking down series again. We can learn a lot from this kind of videos. BTW, you really moved like Nick Diaz😀 but more speed. I was always wondering how Nick land so many shots without so much speed. He throws slow but very effective and best in business. Thank you Jeff.
he also starts doing all this after consistently wearing down his opponent's cardio due to his relentless pace and non stop forward aggression and when you punch him he doesn't back off. Mental damage is the best damage

Jeff, do you find that the lead body hook leaves you too exposed to counter rights? I noticed you were throwing jabs or other blinders, then doing that rear body hook + front hook to the head combo.
yes exactly! I like to feint ( I think so does Nick) with the jab before throwing the rear body hook
I found a combo uppercut(left hand) + back spinning fist(right hand). It's really effective

if you dont land the uppercut propperly or your oppenent doesent get distracted the backfist will most likely put you into disadvantage
