"Best handeling" is anecdotal as well, who's taking these cars on the track? Giving you the ability to split the power to the rear makes a much more enjoyable street experience driving some twisty roads when available.
Warranty doesn't mean anything really. Even though it's cost free , it would spend time on the hoist which is less time driving it. Owning a Lexus you know it's not seeing the shop for recalls or shoddy repair schedules.

Test drove all these. I’m going to the dealership tomorrow. We loved the is350 f sport. It’s just an amazing car and the sound deadening from the outside is crazy! Like you’re in a cabin that doesn’t hear road noise or rattles. That car is just amazing in every way.
I love the IS but everyone and their grandparents have one plus the interior just looks generic to me(maybe because I’ve been in so many?). Went with the TLX A-Spec instead. Love the exterior and interior, and really just wanted a well rounded sports sedan with good mileage that I wouldn’t have gotten with a V6. I’m always on the road with 2 toddlers so I’m never going to be racing anyone lol
How in the heck did the IS get the number one spot when the GV70 and TLX are way better cars? The IS is extremely dated and lacking on the interior compared to the other two. Also have you driven a TLX SH-AWD and an Accord 2.0T? They do not feel or drive anything alike. You can tell the Acura is a luxury vehicle. It should have been G70 first TLX second IS third.

I bought a 2011 Genesis 4.6 in September of 2010 ( I still have it to this day) and after owning a 2007 BMW 545 ( money pit ) I love the Genesis. It has 99,000 miles on it and the only thing that’s been replaced is the alternator about 5 years ago. I am going to check out the GV models . We also have a 2016 Accord Touring and it’s been a good car but not a solid as the Genesis. The Genesis still drives like the day I got it.
so the TLX 2.0T feels ordinary like its out of a Accord but the 2.0T in the G70 with less power is a great drive train? Isnt it pretty much same as the the 2.0T Sonata?
The Genesis has a RWD platform which differentiates it a lot more from the Sonata. The TLX is still FWD based like the Accord. Plus the Accord 2.0 has an amazing driving experience. It is hard to tell it apart from the Acura.

It's driving dynamics is noticeably superior to the Accord - not even close. Exterior styling, cockpit design, and presence sets it apart even further. The G70 powertrain is disappointing - no better than the Sonata.

This review is pretty bad! The Acura TLX was built on its own platform, not on a Accord base (uniformed), the TLX is light years ahead of the Lexus. The Genesis is a new brand but again has better interior & exterior design than the Lexus all around. The warranty & safety features on the Genesis blow the Lexus out of the water. The Lexus is old, dated & your assessment of the TLX trackpad is bias because Lexus is worse. If you are gonna review vehicles you need to provide objectivity in your review. You are obviously a fan boy new to the game. First & second place should have been between the Genesis & Acura! Sorry not sorry !
Clearly you didn't hear to my argument. All three of these cars are top picks, but most buyers ultimately care about price, value for money (including resale value), and reliability. The Lexus is the leader in those areas, which is why it is a segment top seller. The average consumer is not going to notice or care about the few small areas where the Lexus is behind the other two and neither do I. Ultimately it is still an amazing car to drive, is very well designed, and nails the financial aspects which are of top importance to most buyers.

I am trying to do my research because I M also debating if to buy the G70 or the type S What’s keeping me away from the type S Is the infotainment, the no heads up display, no 360 camera. I think the Acura looks a little better than the G70 I just need to test drive them to make my decision but both are great cars
That's a good comparison, I would need to drive both. I have a Stinger GT1 and now like the looks of the G70. WTBS, I would go with the Genesis unless the Acura proved me wrong. My ultimate choice is the IS500

none of the g70s in north america have the full digital gauge cluster. left side is analogue with middle and left being digital. the gv70 and g80 both have the full digital cluster (at least in some trims). sort of makes me think you have not driven the car as it is super obvious if you have driven one.
IMHO, the G70 is every bit as good as the Lexus IS in terms of quality and near reliability. It also comes with a more advanced and powerful turbo V6 engine. That being said, the IS500 (AND ONLY THE IS500) is def. the more desirable one in my book with its irresistible V8. Don't really care for the Acura, nor is it near the other two in terms of quality. It's also not a "REAL" sports sedan as it rides on a FWD platform, and ITS NOT A REAL JAPANESE PRODUCT. The G70 and the IS are proudly built 100% in their country of origin.
By default TLX is out. FWD is a no-go unless the comparison is based on practicality reasons. But for a driver it's the awesome proven G70 or the purist IS.

You really need to compare all three in top trim and engine choices. While you did a pretty good quick down and dirty review...as a car pro, I can tell the difference well for the TLX over the Accord. Acura did not blueprint the Accord. All three cars are nice choices...but go apples to apples and then compare again. Compare actual performance with value, resale, desirability, historical lineage, and longevity....then come see us with a new video. You will see a difference.
Literally nobody cares about historical lineage when buying a new car. People want performance, exterior, interior and driving dynamics everything else is overlooked.
Out of these I would get the Acura it just looks soo nice and aggressive although the g70 really draws my attention too the IS is good but the interior is just too old for a 2021 car
I can agree with this order and IMO it's a very close comparison. Each car has a slightly different personality, the Lexus more towards luxury, the Acura more sporty, and the Genesis is perfectly in the middle. I plan to replace my Stinger GT1 with the IS500.
Good day Shari, the Lexus by far better car in every way. I had the first generation for 9 years and it was great car but it was also a step above an average car because of the 2JZ engine. The 3rd generation captured what 2nd generation missed the mark but overall from 2001-2021 Lexus IS have a tremendous solid platform and record. There is absolutely no reason to buy a Acura especially, Acuras lost their heritage from the late 90s and there are so many better choices out there. I had also the Acura 2008 TSX which was OK average at best but Lexus IS on another level.
That IS is insultingly old, same engine and ancient transmission. Lexus needs to step up their game and actually update the IS if they want to be competitive.
... just shows just how subjective looks are. I loved the TLX in photos, but seeing it in person I actually really don't like it. I liked IS in pictures, and LOVED it in person. It looks so proportionately better and far more aggressive, especially with the 19" BBS wheels. I just wish it was a smidge bigger, especially on the interior. Without question, I'd take the IS350 F-Sport over the TLX A-Spec, but again, purely subjective.

I can see why you’d pick the Lexus over the Acura. But Genesis has NO brand recognition outside the car enthusiast. No dealer support because there’s hardly any dealerships. And lastly, they don’t keep the value because they’re Hyundai made. Hyundai has a great warranty but that doesn’t mean they hold up.
Acura is a polished Honda. Lexus is a nice Toyota. None of these brands hold recognition like the German brands do. My 2020 Acura has more build quality issues than any other car I've owned. The 2.0T is also having oil dilution issues despite using using only premium fuel, using Mobil 1 0W-20 and taking long trips to get the vehicle up to operating temps when taking it out. I wish I leased this piece of shit rather than bought it.
@@carhelpcorner RDX, it's the wife's car and she likes it, I'm not at all impressed. My next car may very well be from Toyota/Lexus. The IS500 is very interesting, but the price is going to be the big question mark. If it starts above $60k and dealers are looking for mark-ups, I'm out. The RWD only is a big detractor as well, living in the Northeast where snow is prevalent. I like the TLX Type-S for its AWD, but Acura's current build quality is deplorable and I'd wager it will have the same oil dilution issues as the rest of their engines. Heck, might just bite the German bug I've had for a while and finally pull the trigger on an M340i. I hate how over-engineered they are and they certainly don't have the best track record for reliability once miles start climbing, but the TLX looks terrible to me, and IS doesn't AWD with the V8. M340i really just checks all the boxes.
For me it was between the tlx and g70. Ended up with the tlx because I got a better lease deal. Love both cars they’re reliable fast and beautiful cars.

This is a very poor and misguided review. The latest game changing 2022 Genesis G70 is a vastly superior sports sedan compared to the Lexus IS 300 in all categories. The 2022 Genesis G70 has more style, performance and technology than the aging Lexus IS300 platform can muster. The Lexus IS 300 was a great car a few years ago but it's an aging model that is very short on power and performance. As a matter of fact the Lexus should have placed a distant third place for simply being so underpowered for this segment. The Acura in it's own right is a much more modern and capable car than the Lexus. The 2022 Genesis G70 is the new benchmark and tour de force that rivals BMW and easily crushes the Lexus. I thoroughly tested all three of these models and hands down I proclaim the new 2022 Genesis G70 the best of the best in this segment with the also excellent 2021 Acura TLX Type S coming in a close second place and the woefully underpowered 2021 Lexus IS 300 coming in at a distant and slow last place.
G70 1st TLX 2nd IS 3rd How the hell did he come up with IS 1st? It’s literally known in the car industry n car journalists that the IS is way behind in the segment. Lexus been fell off.
Acura and Genesis are certainly reliable too but the Lexus is still the safest choice to keep for 10 or more years. It also has by far the best resale value. These are big advantages.
Hard to pass on that Genesis warranty. Lexus has the reputation, but Genesis is walking the walk. I love Lexus, but in that price range, the warranty combined with that beast of a 3.3l twin turbo, I dunno. If you're pure luxury, go with the Lexus for sure, but if the sport part is important to you as well, it's hard to ignore that kinda power at that price.
G70 or the Giulia. That would be my two choices. The TLX lacks power and frankly the styling isn't catching me. The Acura doesn't scream luxury to me, never has. The Lexus...well that's a womans car, a car for my mom I suppose, lol.

I’ve test drove all of them and will be buying one soon. I’d pick the Genesis first followed by the Acura and the Lexus coming in last.

That's a good comparison, I would need to drive both. I have a Stinger GT1 and now like the looks of the G70. WTBS, I would go with the Genesis unless the Acura proved me wrong. My ultimate choice is the IS500

I wish the Acura let you get the multi view camera on the Type S, it's kind of stupid how you can get it on the regular version but not the Type S. I don't really like the G70 interior, I wish it was more similar to the one on the G80
Always lexus is most elegant and reliable car.. Specialy is 300 4 cylinder turbo... U drive laxury car and economical car for know days.......

none of the g70s in north america have the full digital gauge cluster. left side is analogue with middle and left being digital. the gv70 and g80 both have the full digital cluster (at least in some trims). sort of makes me think you have not driven the car as it is super obvious if you have driven one.

IMHO, the G70 is every bit as good as the Lexus IS in terms of quality and near reliability. It also comes with a more advanced and powerful turbo V6 engine. That being said, the IS500 (AND ONLY THE IS500) is def. the more desirable one in my book with its irresistible V8. Don't really care for the Acura, nor is it near the other two in terms of quality. It's also not a "REAL" sports sedan as it rides on a FWD platform, and ITS NOT A REAL JAPANESE PRODUCT. The G70 and the IS are proudly built 100% in their country of origin.

G70 wins for me. I just hate the android auto is not wireless. The TLX interior doesn't feel luxury to me, and Lexus interior is outdated
By default TLX is out. FWD is a no-go unless the comparison is based on practicality reasons. But for a driver it's the awesome proven G70 or the purist IS.

You really need to compare all three in top trim and engine choices. While you did a pretty good quick down and dirty review...as a car pro, I can tell the difference well for the TLX over the Accord. Acura did not blueprint the Accord. All three cars are nice choices...but go apples to apples and then compare again. Compare actual performance with value, resale, desirability, historical lineage, and longevity....then come see us with a new video. You will see a difference.
Literally nobody cares about historical lineage when buying a new car. People want performance, exterior, interior and driving dynamics everything else is overlooked.
Out of these I would get the Acura it just looks soo nice and aggressive although the g70 really draws my attention too the IS is good but the interior is just too old for a 2021 car
I can agree with this order and IMO it's a very close comparison. Each car has a slightly different personality, the Lexus more towards luxury, the Acura more sporty, and the Genesis is perfectly in the middle. I plan to replace my Stinger GT1 with the IS500.

Good day Shari, the Lexus by far better car in every way. I had the first generation for 9 years and it was great car but it was also a step above an average car because of the 2JZ engine.
The 3rd generation captured what 2nd generation missed the mark but overall from 2001-2021 Lexus IS have a tremendous solid platform and record.
There is absolutely no reason to buy a Acura especially, Acuras lost their heritage from the late 90s and there are so many better choices out there. I had also the Acura 2008 TSX which was OK average at best but Lexus IS on another level.

That IS is insultingly old, same engine and ancient transmission. Lexus needs to step up their game and actually update the IS if they want to be competitive.

... just shows just how subjective looks are. I loved the TLX in photos, but seeing it in person I actually really don't like it. I liked IS in pictures, and LOVED it in person. It looks so proportionately better and far more aggressive, especially with the 19" BBS wheels. I just wish it was a smidge bigger, especially on the interior. Without question, I'd take the IS350 F-Sport over the TLX A-Spec, but again, purely subjective.
The Lexus IS is not ugly it’s just plain it’s the same pig with a new lipstick color no different than my 14 is350 very disappointed at Lexus oh and by the way they raised the price to typeS territory for that money I will take the typeS.

One problem with this video. The tlx is not the entry level Acura, the ilx is. This car is the gs or es competition.
The ILX is entry level but the TLX is more comparable to these two in terms of price, performance, etc.

I can see why you’d pick the Lexus over the Acura. But Genesis has NO brand recognition outside the car enthusiast. No dealer support because there’s hardly any dealerships. And lastly, they don’t keep the value because they’re Hyundai made. Hyundai has a great warranty but that doesn’t mean they hold up.

Acura is a polished Honda. Lexus is a nice Toyota. None of these brands hold recognition like the German brands do. My 2020 Acura has more build quality issues than any other car I've owned. The 2.0T is also having oil dilution issues despite using using only premium fuel, using Mobil 1 0W-20 and taking long trips to get the vehicle up to operating temps when taking it out. I wish I leased this piece of shit rather than bought it.

@@carhelpcorner RDX, it's the wife's car and she likes it, I'm not at all impressed. My next car may very well be from Toyota/Lexus. The IS500 is very interesting, but the price is going to be the big question mark. If it starts above $60k and dealers are looking for mark-ups, I'm out. The RWD only is a big detractor as well, living in the Northeast where snow is prevalent. I like the TLX Type-S for its AWD, but Acura's current build quality is deplorable and I'd wager it will have the same oil dilution issues as the rest of their engines.
Heck, might just bite the German bug I've had for a while and finally pull the trigger on an M340i. I hate how over-engineered they are and they certainly don't have the best track record for reliability once miles start climbing, but the TLX looks terrible to me, and IS doesn't AWD with the V8. M340i really just checks all the boxes.
For me it was between the tlx and g70. Ended up with the tlx because I got a better lease deal. Love both cars they’re reliable fast and beautiful cars.

This is a very poor and misguided review. The latest game changing 2022 Genesis G70 is a vastly superior sports sedan compared to the Lexus IS 300 in all categories. The 2022 Genesis G70 has more style, performance and technology than the aging Lexus IS300 platform can muster. The Lexus IS 300 was a great car a few years ago but it's an aging model that is very short on power and performance. As a matter of fact the Lexus should have placed a distant third place for simply being so underpowered for this segment. The Acura in it's own right is a much more modern and capable car than the Lexus. The 2022 Genesis G70 is the new benchmark and tour de force that rivals BMW and easily crushes the Lexus. I thoroughly tested all three of these models and hands down I proclaim the new 2022 Genesis G70 the best of the best in this segment with the also excellent 2021 Acura TLX Type S coming in a close second place and the woefully underpowered 2021 Lexus IS 300 coming in at a distant and slow last place.

The IS has no advantages. Almost all brands have reliability. Other brands have caught up
Acura and Genesis are certainly reliable too but the Lexus is still the safest choice to keep for 10 or more years. It also has by far the best resale value. These are big advantages.
Hard to pass on that Genesis warranty. Lexus has the reputation, but Genesis is walking the walk. I love Lexus, but in that price range, the warranty combined with that beast of a 3.3l twin turbo, I dunno. If you're pure luxury, go with the Lexus for sure, but if the sport part is important to you as well, it's hard to ignore that kinda power at that price.
