Hi kyo..i recently made a NL as a boss mule and it feels great to boss with..never thought i'd see the day i see a better burst than my db main...anyhow i wanted to ask..how does the dmg on spread throw works??is it based on quad throw??cuz all my matrix or nodes as u guys call it are still lvl 1
Depending on the throw you use, the damage will be different to compensate for the less stars being thrown. So you want to use whatever throws the most stars. But let me hop on my nl to make sure. Glad you're enjoying the class~
If you're in heroic, I think you can buy them from NPC store. In interactive you can either find them from the monsters that drop them, or from the auction house like someone replied
Hm...this is a bit difficult to answer without going into specifics. In other words, the answer isn't so simple. I guess I should mention: don't pick a class based on how good they are, because they might not be as good when nexon catches wind of their power. Anywho, the classes I think are top bossers atm are: Hero, Buccaneer, Blaster, Cadena, Dawn Warrior, Night Walker, Night Lord, Fire/Poison Mage, and in the future, Angelic Buster.
@@karenbob3489 Night Lord is a very good bosser, but not a very good boss mule. The reason is that you'll be waiting for your burst to be back up. So rather than going from boss to boss smoothly. You'll go into a boss, burst, wait for the cooldowns, then go into the next boss and burst. During their burst, NL is the strongest class in the game. But they also have the biggest drop off when not bursting.
@@karenbob3489 Classes that have relatively low cooldowns, or no real burst at all. That way you can move from boss to boss without waiting for any skill uptimes. Also classes who have naturally high ied, crit rate, or crit damage are also great boss mules. So something like F/P, Marksman, Bowmaster, Demon Slayer, Buccaneer, and the list goes on.
They were my first class and they still have a spot in my heart. But I miss the old play style of jumping around and throwing stars. I play night walker because they feel more like the old school assassins to me. Love night lords tho, just not my play style.
Yeah, something about current NL just doesn't have the same feel. Even though they haven't really changed their style. I much prefer NW due to visually seemingly like I'm doing more with that steady stream of arrows.
I can't quite put my finger on how. Aside from not having Avenger (NW has it,) they still throw stars like they used to. It just looks / feels lackluster to me I guess. But once you've got your burst it's like "welp time to kiss the boss on the mouth," but at least you do tons of damage!

Haha, comparing an amazing bosser to an amazing mobber. Can't have best of both worlds sadly~ Luminous has great mobbing, and does very well in bossing, so I'd say if you want as close as you can get to "best of both worlds" it'd be Lumi. However, if you can put up with Hero not having as good/easy mobbing as Lumi, then it's an amazing class you won't regret playing. Especially after seeing 6th job! They make Raging Blow even bigger!! I personally enjoy playing Hero more than Lumi, mainly because Hero was my first main from 2006~2010. Could also just play both, but focus on one mostly, and any extra gear you get, throw it onto Lumi. Unless you play in Reboot in which case...use luminous for meso making and Hero for bossing? Not sure haha, I play regular server.
i made 1 of these recently for the link skill and i was looking forward to playing it for nostalgia... but i was underwhelmed and gutted by how it played. mainly i was looking forward to chucking sum stars about like the old days but straight away it looked naff in my opinion. just the fact it chucks 3 stars at one rather than 3 in a line and obviously spamming it looked like a constant line of stars. so ye did the 3 thief's to 150 for the links and this class was the least fun to grind
Grats on 70 first of all~ As for why the link skill isn't showing...I'm not sure. Does relogging help? Usually it would show up in the list (on another character) as long as you've met the level. If it's a bug, then definitely contact nexon.
Y'know, giving this is one of my favorite classes, you'd think I'd have more puns ready. I actually don't have any off the top of my head. Gods, I'm really throwing here.
They ruined the OG feel of NLs. Animations look like ass for such a favored kms class. Skills are not creative. Its movement is nothing special compared to all the other classes. I forgot to mention there is way too much purple in this class and it ends up looking like a worse Night Walker. Bring back Lucky 7 with improved animation or something. It's also laggy as shit because of all the marks, one of the laggiest class in the game for bossing. It's also a class that should be avoided as boss mule, not just for burst cooldown, but also later bosses which really require oz rings for optimal damage. It's pretty ass without oz rings even though they're going to be easier to obtain. It is too funding heavy and worse than Shadower at mobbing, which is just better in most ways.

Even though Explorers got a visual update with Destiny, NL still feels like a class that could use some visual tune ups on the main attack! Huh...I didn't even notice how much purple they had! You're right! Bucc and NL stole their respective Cygnus colors haha! Oh dang, the marks lag? That's not good! Ah, I've never done Oz so I've never had this problem. The other thing I don't like, which I think I mentioned in the video. I don't like how it's a mid range attacker who suddenly is like "welp, time to hug the boss!" I feel like they could have made it like Marksman's split shot. Keep the same distance you usually play at, but have the stream of stars explode into a bunch of mini stars (like the 160 hyper) but for the main attack. Keeps the same damage as spread throw, but you also keep your distance.

Yeah...a shame really. I must prefer night walker compared to it. But that's cause I like consistent damage vs. burst
