As someone who recently recreated the "Cursing is not allowed" popup by hand, please leave your MapleStory videos up. The only thing that made that possible were two old MapleStory videos that contained the popup, and even then they were so deep fried from age that the details were wildly unclear. I used two different screenshots because they each had different levels of compression. Made different details stand out.
My point is, with the loss of BasilMarket, a lot of old Maple content is lost. Most of it is in these old videos on TH-cam now.

In my country's long-closed server, Maple Throwing Stars were obtained from Gachapon. I miss those times so much. I played as a Night Lord up to level 164, equipped with a Dexless armor + Black Mamba, hitting 30K damage per hit.
15:26 You need to increase your Mastery level to level 5 in order to upgrade your Booster, and everyone in the Old School era will stop at level 11 because they will receive +2 ATK Speed at this level. Then, gather points to upgrade other skills first.
Whoa the random throwback to Trickster Online too?? Remember when that was being advertised as "Simply better than maplestory"? I recall several of my friends quitting in anticipation of Trickster coming out... only to end up coming back a few months later.

And man, i hope you cover dragon knights at somepoint. they were THE showoff class but their skill builds were very divided among the community at first. and also another of the classes that had washing as one of their mechanics

Just finished watching the entire video. Its very cool watching the history of maple cleanly presented. Especially because at the time I was just a kid, and honestly just didn't understand a lot of the game. All vibes no strategy tbh. Its crazy to think that during those times a lot of information was transferred through in game chat. Nowadays you can just look up the most optimal strat on google and find an answer. I miss those times. If they released an old school server it wouldnt be the same because of how social interactions online have become, but im sure it would be a heck of a lot better than anything I play today.
honestly this is some of the highest quality maplestory content ive seen so far, hats off to you. as a maplestory content creator myself i think i can learn a lot from you. i hope to see a video like this for more of the Beta classes. keep up to great work man!

Incredibly fantastic editing and narration. OSMS will forever have a place in my heart with these videos revealing to me just how much I didn't know about the game back when I was a kid just playing to have fun with friends.

Every month or so I get an irresistible urge to revisit Maple, so I download a private server, play for a few days and then life gets in the way. It’s like I’m always chasing that same unreachable high of being a kid again when Maple felt so new and we were all experiencing it together for the first time.
The only thing that comes close to recapturing that same deep love for the game are your videos, and I can’t quite thank you enough for handling something so special to me with such attention to detail.

Man if I only could go back in time. Those were one of the best times of my life. Every memory, the friendships. I still talk to some of the friends from 2007-20xx until today. I would love to know about fangblade, LoOpEdd, even novinha. They were my heroes in my childhood, and I don’t know anything about them. There are some p servers around that replicate that nostalgia but tbh there was only one OSMS. I have nothing to say to this game besides a big “Thank You”. Thank you maplestory.

I love the style of your videos so much! The nostalgic music from games that were a big part of my childhood, your beautiful voice, the detailed inspection of OS MS, just everything. Especially when I sip abit of wine beforehand, it just brings me so much comfort after a day of being an adult with a job.

Absolutely love this kind of long-form Maplestory history content. Crazy how nostalgic it makes me feel seeing this stuff, especially as a young Rogue player (Although I picked Bandit because I thought Savage Blow was a cool skill). Hope you continue to do similar videos! Would love to see maybe a follow-up about Big Bang, or even similar OSMS videos about other classes.

Thanks. I miss those days. Being in a mmo that’s like its own world populated with its own communities not mostly in their Discord all the time. The game was such an experience. I feel it is only somewhat still is like that in some private servers. I hope an mmo can achieve it one day again. Very nice editing

Incredible video, revisiting old MS this way really makes me appreciate the game more retrospectively. Despite all its flaws, class design was very creative and diverse which modern MS severely lacks.
Man would I love to go back and play OSMS, the making of your own claw, farming for stars... hits just right for me
Maple Throwing stars came with maple anniversary. You could get them well opening chest in ludi pq ( not maze the broken glasses one )
Shoes for jump were a really nice alternative to face stompers. You'd scroll Yellow snow shoes to get high levels of dex and then that dex you would replace with luck in your base stats.
Having 14-18 dex in ysg was very obtainable. Which compared to about 4 weap attack for luck. Though back then I recall chaos scrolls being much cheaper. You could get from evil eye's but then nobody had mesos
Hwabi was also dropped from Jr. Balrog before Zombie Mushmom came out. It was needed around 3.4k hp without Hyper Body for Horntail. Drain was also quite an important skill for Hermit, Also Night Lords were the king of Anegos, which used to be one of the fastest ways to level up.

This is my favorite youtube channel honestly. I was a child when Maplestory was around so I didn't understand anything at all. I remember going dexless sin just because it looked cool without knowing why I was doing it.
Oranges and flying plane stars are found in around showa town and could only be recharged in that area iirc. I had a set of orange and it couldn’t be recharged in town but I tried it in Showa and it worked

Even as a bitter inferior Fighter from this time period, seeing this retrospective still warms my heart (not the KSing map stealing parts though lol) My cousin and friend played Sins and basically played on easy mode.
God I love this so much, such a nostalgia trip I would love to see more like this maybe mages or Chief bandits next? :) So in-depth I like the small details that most people wouldn't remember that live in the back of my head rent free.
I started playing maple story in 2005 and this is the time I miss, whenever I think of maple I remember this version of maple, where there were tons of night lords everyone wearing zakum helms.

Great vid man. Think only part I really got thinking of a more technical disagreement would be before dexless sins, in ‘06 many high dps sins actually would go for the risky 10% scrolls on Blue or Black Scarabs, until it was over 50att, making it a better option than a likely +5 or +6 mamba with dex. Fun times, made me miss my +4 54att Blue Scarab!
Amazing work, i remember my favorite class was DK it was so cool to spear around with it and Hyper Body gave party extra hp, so easy entry to boss party. New MS is so flashy, everybody has dash, double jump, 8 hits skills, people nowadays are not used to grind anymore

People maxed haste first because at the early levels you needed to secure a spot in a party quest since it's a party buff. At the time it was important what class you were and what skills you have, people even got invited to a party just because they knew a free channel or had info (track) on someone who is about to finish.
