I love your videos, so informative but also encouraging for newbies like me to just give things a try to figure out what works. I'm starting out with an adansonii and an alocasia dragon scale but after watching your videos I'm definitely going to be getting more climbing plants and making some moss poles!

The reason why your plants are so successful is because you have natural high light and lamps. For me, I have many Monsteras and other climbing aroids. However, I don't get that high indirect light like you do. I guess I have to move to a much brighter, spacious space for my plants. Good for you bobo!!

Honestly, thank you for all the input and tips and tricks setting up those poles and on overall care. I gotta admit: I enjoyed my plants before as well. Yet, quite frankly, they started growing SO much better and give me so much joy each morning right after waking up, looking at their progress, their leafs getting bigger, finally looking really "happy" since I incorporated some of your advice into my plant journey. They are far away from getting big leafs like that but I really don't care anymore :) I'm happy with their small but consistent progress.

Because of how big the bottom half is you should keep it when you do the next chop to see the difference of top growth. Also if that’s the biggest it would get then it makes sense to keep the bottom where you already have big leaves, but I also get changing it out because then you always have newer beautiful leaves.

Lots of good information in this video. I have rescently found air layering works much better for me verses chop and rerooting in water. I think you just hit on the reason why this is so. I am not really set up to grow my plants like yours. I love the look of your growing system tough. Two years does not seem like a long time at all to get a plant to mature like you do. I would say you know what you are doing when it comes to plant growth. Beautiful.

    OMG!!
If this Monstera Dubai was a human child, he’d be eating you put of house and home!!
Since this M. dubia is growing so fast, it seems like you might need to rethink future management of the potting of the plant that is the bottom of the moss pole. Would you:
--move to a larger than the usual sized clear pot (20 cm diameter, I think?)
--look at a fabric pot which is suppose to “air prune” the roots,
--donate the plant to an indoor greenhouse
(In Houston, TX (USA) at the Hpuston Museum of Natural Science, there is th Cockrell Butterfly Center which is essentially a rainforest conservatory complete with waterfall, a bazillion butterflies & resident huge iguana.)
    --other option not mentioned above.
