I love the jelly roll fat quarter, I might be getting a sewing machine??? I might have the bug! I'm at the end of Iron Flame on Audible. Will be done tonight!
When you are piecing your quilt blocks/strips, pay more attention to the seams where the blocks meet and less to the outer edges. And lots of pins! I start at the intersections and then smooth the blocks to the outside. You can also stretch your fabric a little to zhush those seams nice and tight. If you feel them under your fingers they should feel like one seam. Also, press your blocks so the seams aren’t laying the same direction.
Also, after I sew a seam, I always press it flat and then press open to whatever direction needed. My grandma taught me that it sets the seam. She owned a fabric store so I learned to quilt as a kid. I think I made my first quilt when I was 9 You are inspiring me to dig out my long tucked away quilts and finish them. Feel free to reach out with any questions 😊
I loved the acotar series, the novella; (book 3), was just ok, the last one was♨️♨️ I’m over halfway through 4th wing, and, unpopular opinion, I am not a fan of the main character but everything else keeps me reading😊 I LOVE Xaden though 😉 and I’m wanting to start that new Sarah Maas series soon!!😊
