How do you pull Raiden? Can she be got for a new player from a banner when it is available? Or is there a barrier to get her? If anyone can reply it would help, I want to get into Genshin Impact but I am the type of player that needs a character to get invested in and messing up could be a major deflator for me. Thanks to Sevy for the video as I'm glad to see Raiden is worth my attention and possible effort.

Raiden's actually the main reason I started playing Genshin. A classmate was playing the game and asked me if I'd like to try it out and I did. I was checking out abilities and then I got to raiden's burst and was left in absolute awe from how good it looks and immediately fell in love with her. A month and 47 adventure ranks later I have 48 pity and 117 wishes for her 🤞
Same. I started genshin back when kazuha banner dropped. I got into genshin cuz friend showed me a clip of rock climbing lisa. But after like 2 weeks, i kinda started getting bored. That is until Raiden leaks surfaced. From then on, i started hard saving and when she finally dropped, i got her! Wanted more xiangling dupes so i kept pulling and then BAM! Another raiden suddenly showed up. Months passed and now im ready to get her c2 and signature weapon

Because she is consistent and well-rounded. Not just good but GREAT DPS. Not just good but GREAT subDPS. Not just good but GREAT support . With her, everything becomes smoother. She is is my personal favorite gameplay character next to Kazuha.
And also as a f2p sitting on the 50/50 for the second time i feel so bad for my primos i want her so very badly because she is epic but i Dont want to lose again this time 😔 felt so bad at the first time when she released, i pulled 60 times even after losing 50/50 eventually she didn't came home.
I would consider Raiden as one of the highest value adding character to your account. The QOL she gives in terms of the Abyss and overworld is *chef’s kiss*. Just a personal take but I’d place her next to Kazuha in terms of being a must pull.
yeah she's proved to be an excellent Electro character to have so yeah, she's quite a must pull character considering how her first banner's sales just skyrocketed like crazy
If we look at 5 star characters, there aren't really a lot of them that deserves a pull. Other than Raiden, Kazuha, Ganyu/Ayaka (pick your poison), Venti, Zhongli (for those who need shield) there really aren't any 5 star characters that can guarantee instant upgrade to an account in general.
Imo Raiden is the most balanced character. She brings a lot of Quality of Life in battle. She can be a DPS, sub DPS, burst damage Amplifier, and a reaction enabler. I think she's the safest character to pull because of her flexibility in terms of team role.
To all Raiden pullers who can't guarantee her spear, she doesn't need Engulfing Lightning! At R1 it's at most a 10-15% dmg increase from R5 Catch. Raiden is very similar to Xiangling wherein she can use majority of the other 4/5* spears. As the video said, C2/3 are way better bargains than Engulfing Lightning. But hey if you're decided to gamble for her spear, which is PROBABLY gonna be rerun with Kokomi's donut which is not a good pull, be my guest and good luck on the gacha, spend responsibly.
@@C0T_gt my top picks are dragons bane and wavebreaker's fin (r3 and up). in fact as far as i can tell with my own xiangling, dragons bane does more damage than the catch. but i run xiangling in a raiden national team anyway so its probably the EM that helps doing the extra dmg. been experimenting since i recently got skyward spine, which i recently maxed out and gave my raiden.
She’s a comfort unit for me, similar to Zhongli. She made battles a lot easier. I-frames from ults are also very useful for survival. The only trouble I had was building her. Balancing ER, Crit and ATK was really hard.
her weapon is literally a stat stick and helps you to easily balance her stats and saving your resin for grinding the perfect artifacts, unless you already have one.
Raiden brought me back to Genshin after an extended break. She's the first character I ever spent $$ on and I've never regretted it. And since I lost the 50/50 on Yae, I'm guaranteed C1 so I see that as a win! The only caveat I'd have are for new players or those who aren't in Inazuma yet. Her ascension materials are almost as far away from Mondstat as you can get, so if you pull her she will be stuck at lvl 40 for as long as it takes for you to get there. While this isn't ideal, she still carried me through a lot of content with nothing but the Catch (which isn't mandatory, but you will get it for free). Also, she pairs great with Xiang Ling who you get for free. All in all, great character. 10/10 would recommend.
That Raiden National team got me my first 36 star abyss clear. Quick swapping characters for a full rotation and then having all bursts basically up by the time you end her burst cycle is such a treat
Having c2 Raiden will net you a year of 36 star abyss for sure Don't even need Xiangling cause Sara can change her sand get your burst to 400k with just the catch Benny and Sara
I can finally complete my ongoing Archon collection with her. I was really looking forward to her re-run, I lost my pity the first time (to Qiqi)...I made sure that this time around it won't happen again, she's guaranteed. Ready to be maxed on day 1 of acquiring her 😎.

This comment is for anyone who has C2 or has the intention of getting it. The team I have been using is Raiden, Sarah, qiqi, xingqui/koko. It's sort of a hybrid of a hypercarry freeze comp. What isn't Frozen gets electrocuted and qiqi with the clam set puts out fairly consistent damage and constantly heals while losing her energy problems. The reason I'm even mentioning it is that I do clear the abyss with it and it is a heal comp and not a shield comp. It's absolutely invincible and the rotation is pretty tight. Just a fun way to get value out of qiqi and overcoming anti-shield meta
If it works, it works.....it's just very scuffed. Fischl, shogun, kokomi, xq will give you faster clear time with very comfortable playstyle. Qiqi is only worth to build if you reaally like her or have too many resources.
Well i can only lead a horse to water here. The point is its a raiden hyper carry team which takes advantage of sara, frees up bennet for the other side, and gives guaranteed max clam stacks, and freeze. There are plenty of ways to replace characters for more damage. But why if you do enough already you can add utilities. Save more buffers for your other team. Make that more damaging. It's just what I've done for the past three abyss while i just buff the hell outa the other side with more flexibility.
I started playing Genshin at the end of Raiden's banner, I was still a week into the game and she was my second 5-star after Mona in her banner, I didn't know how to play her until I was already AR 40 and benched her until I've gotten my current team to Friendship Level 10, the learning curve from her stacking to her Energy Recharge mechanics as a new player was pretty long and was something I wasn't able to wrap my head around for a while. The payoff after that was amazing, fishing wasn't much of a big deal for me but it really does matter with how much damage Miss Shogun does and seeing my first 90k with a single press of a button made my mid-AR heart so giddy lmaooooo now I'm currently choosing her weapon over her constellations after I get Kokomi because having C0 + weapon of my favorite characters matters more to me than constellations
If you are worried about her damage, my Raiden is C0 with Catch and a strong Emblem set (not cracked but very good) and her first slash often hits for over 100k. She is a very strong character.
@@Anubis-rq2yq Bennet ulti, very normal rotation on Raiden National. Proper setup for pretty screenshot (Benny, Kazuha and c6 Sara) hits it for over 180k. The crit record on my account was a 233k with setup and full "bar" on a poor small hillichurl...

Raiden Shogun was actually my first 5 star character when I was still doing the Liyue Archon Quest so I had my Raiden sitting at level 40 for a big chunk of my playtime as I never rushed the story. To this day I don't regret getting her. Definitely one of if not my favorite character on my account next to Itto and Kokomi.
Loving my c2 raiden. I hit for about 400k in abyss and in overworld 325k with both bennet and c6 sara. 220k with just Sara and with her engulfing lightning Im getting over 300 ER and everyones bursts are up each time. Perfect character that synergizes many teams. The beidou thing is overblown...once you get a sara to c6 or get yae and are using kazuha in her team youll find yourself never ever using beidou with her anyways so just get her NOW because youll end up waiting another year considering were heading into sumeru soon
Do u think I should pull for raiden i hv guaranteed..i got yae earlier this week.but i don't hv kazuha nd i don't even hv enough primo for one so getting both is out of the question.. what should I do any suggestions?
Got her during first run and she's definitely game changer as you can now run high cost team and 100% uptime E that provide buff and constant electro. Beware of Emblem domain, that hell hole never drop CR/CD till this day:')
At first I wanted Yae Miko. Now that I realise that she is a bit lackluster at the moment, I decided to pull for Raiden and Sara instead. I skipped them for Kokomi at the time so if I could pair Raiden, (hopefully C6) Sara, Venti/Sucrose and Xingqui I could get a nice team
Definitely going for her C3 this rerun. Currently at C2 and I can't be put at ease if I don't pull the last constellation for her to be perfect. She's such a good unit that fits well in my team comps so she deserves the best👌 Edit. I got C3 Raiden yiiieepiee. And C6 Sara also came home. Now I'm so happy with my Inazuma duo (●♡∀♡)
Me that already have her and one day before her banner ends and got her in 72 pity and got my kujou sara in c2 and praying for to get more constellation to my kujou sara
Ei became my first archon that I pulled for her, along with her weapon and I had a blast using her. At first I thought I wasn't going to like her, but then once her teaser trailers started dropping, I was a bit curious. Then the Inazuma arc happened, we learned a bit more about her, I heard her voice and here we are now. Hell, even her current quest added a bit more layers into her, making her a very soild character period. Anne was very good as the electric archon and can't wait to hear more from her as Ei. Gameplay just felt very fun and while I did get the catch, I run that with Xiangling and overall even at C0, Ei is more then enough. I will give you a HUGE round of applause that bringing up the fact that you DON'T need Ei at C2 in order to be good because god was that annoying to hear when Ei came out and that was all everyone kept yelling about with the other thing being Beidou and Ei can't work together. Seriously, I 100% agreed with a guy I follow who runs those two and me as well by testing and overall they work fine and Ei is just great at C0 ONLY if you really want C2 but I am good with my C0 Ei lol. In any case, awesome job with the video as usual Sevy!

Hey Sevvy, it's everyone! I will not personally be pulling Constellations for Raiden - she's at C0 for me. Saving up for Kazuha for me.. or saving up for the next Yae Miko banner. I won't go for Engulfing Lightning either, I could definitely use an additional Polearm right now - my polearm pool consists of Skyward Spine R3 (Shenhe), Primordial Jade Winged-Spear (Zhongli), Staff of Homa (Raiden), The Catch (Xiangling), Favonius Lance (Yun Jin), Deathmatch (Rosaria).. I also have Hu Tao which I no longer use. Dragon's Bane R5, Kitain Cross Spear R5, Blackcliff Polearm R2 are still available to use right now
I want Ayato, but I also kinda want Raiden. There's only one Fischl and I suffer playing Beidou, so I don't use her very often, and Raiden-Childe combo I tried out during the last misty dungeon (I think?) was really fun. Her main disadvantage is that I don't really like Ei's characterisation (though I've heard her new quest is better than the first one, haven't done it yet tbh), and I don't pull for characters I don't like. Her puppet is fine though, so lol.
I suggest playing her second quest and see what that does to you first since it explains more of her point of view that led to her actions. As for utility, meta and fun playstyle, Raiden has all of those. And she really would change your life in the abyss. Raiden is also a unit that you can already be sure of to be good based on the feedback of most players.

I wish I would of watched this video before I pulled her. Being a new player I wasnt even in Inazuma to be able to level her up. But at any rate, I'm still glad I got her because she is a beautifully made character. Thank you Sevy for the time you put into you well made videos. I appreciate what you do. It helps a lot.
I pulled her during my birthday week. I was due for a pity ,and when I did a single wish I got her C2, but she's now at C3. I'm very happy with her, and she kicks ass in spiral abyss!
I remember doing 2 pulls for her ironically when my friend came over to play some genshin. I got a golden wish on a 50/50 and we were freaking out because I didn't actually want Raiden that much, and lo and behold, it was her. And you know what? I regret nothing! She's so fun to play, and opens up a window for teams that I'd never thought to try before. I really really like her gameplay and she's definitely helped me get 36* on Spiral Abyss on a few iterations. A really fun unit to use!
I love my raiden! I usually use her with my eula for easy superconducts and battery! The two of them together really lend to an amazing experience! And Sevy amazing job on the video! It was insanely well made and everything was done to perfection!

Thank you for this great review of our dear Raiden Sevy! I'm a Honkai impact player first before Genshin and when I saw the similarities between Genshin's Archons and Honkai's Herrschers well, I've been waiting for Raiden to appear since I'm a huge simp for Raiden Mei, Honkai's Herrscher of Thunder. And I honestly screamed my lungs out when mihoyo teased her name as the electro Archon as well as when she finally appeared. I don't really care for the hate clout she got just because of her complex characterization, for me her characterization and the flaws of her decision is what gives her character depth and meaning. I think we honestly need more flawed characters like her and childe, their stories were the most interesting ones for me.
I almost had a heart attack when Zhongli first mentioned her, also long time Mei's lover, HoT since her first release have been my hypercarry with Apho version she has a special place in my heart. Now with Genshin, we got to know Ei's tragic, complex and questionable story, with a kit that I've been wanting for a long time (ult spam), since September she rarely left the main team
@@emreksakol5512 For the utility she provides to the teams she fits in, she is a must pull. Similar to Kazuha. But from another perspective, no character is a must pull in the game. You can beat most of the content with the free characters.
@@the-suspect At C0, Kazuha actually buffs a bit less than Sucrose at the same level of investment. I have C0 Raiden and I have invested a lot into her (she was my main dps for a long time) and i have to say, the damage is not that great. It certainly isn't enough for current content unless your supports are god level.

Since Raiden Ei came out I never mained an other character except in the abyss, She is the most fun out of all the characters at least for me, and the fact that her damage scales of her ER makes It even better, her Burst fill up before her ult ends, besides the fact that electro is my fav element, she is Its archon and has the prettiest modele imo
She's amazing even at C0. And with R4 WB Fin, Xiangling can use The Catch. Her design, her gameplay and having Miyuki Sawashiro-sama as her VA *chef's kiss*

Out of the 3 archons released, Raiden is probably the only one that's very hard to power creep or indirectly nerf without nerfing other burst reliant characters.
I'd love to have Raiden but she is currently 4th on my totem pole. It's the Kamisato Sibling, Zhongli (lost my most recent 50/50 to Qiqi 😭) then her, with Kazuha close behind. Im hoping Ayato is basically 5-star Xingqui and Ayaka has been my most wanted unit since the event that let us rome around in a dungeon like area with characters that we didn't have yet. Anyways thanks for yet another great video! It relieved the pressure of feeling like I would be losing out not pulling for her.
She is always more than worth it for me. I saved for her the moment I saw leaks about her. I adored her overall design (I kinda like purple and fond of Japanese culture so this is a plus for me), lore, gameplay, and especially her being a polearm character since polearm is my favorite weapon in the game. I can't wait for her 1st rerun because I'll be getting her signature weapon since I lost to the Unforged last time.
If you're pulling for raiden best of luck she's amazing and you'll have so much fun I play her at C0 R5 catch and she's a beast she's known to be a support according to the tier list but on my f2p team she's a freaking main DPS 🔥🔥🔥
I am definitely going to pull for her. After watching her trailer for the first time, I was totally impressed by her skills and look. What else there is to say, she is pretty powerful. I will main her once I pull a copy of her, if I get lucky that is.
I have to agree, ever since I got raiden she's been super useful in overworld and the abyss. It's nice that she almost always has her burst up and is so versatile, synergysing well with so many characters.
She is good atm even tho we don't have that many characters that synergize with her kit so she would be needed for future characters/teams if there would be any. Her dmg at C0 is just not that great while her c2 and c3 makes her way stronger, I would keep her dmg cap for c2 and c3 the same but buff her dmg at c0 a lil bit - just 5% is good enough imo.

I am one of those ppl who didn't appreciate her at first. But when I started building her and learned abt Raiden Nat'l Team, she was never benched in my Abyss teams. If you love her character design, and wanted to build a teamcomp to help you clear Abyss, then Raiden will definitely be a worthy pull for you. 😊 Good luck to all travelers out there who pulling for her copy or cons and even her wpn! 🌠✨
To Raiden wanters: you are very unlikely to regret. Pull for her if you want to. Have fun, got her c1, couldn’t finish c2 on her first run. Gonna go for Kokomi now, leaving c2 for later reruns. Love her 😁
Thanks for your insight for people who are undecided! I might be one of the only people who is glad I didn't get her on her first banner. I pulled for Sara back then and stopped at 60 wishes in. I trialed her over and over, but her playstyle just didn't click with me. Or her personality. While the puppet lore concept is rlly cool, and she has cool animations, I don't like the flashy colors, the way she auto aims and moves towards the enemy, that her burst only lasts 6 (or 7?) seconds, her Chakra system where you have to keep track of when to cast her burst, and her long ass skill descriptions in her kit. I would rate her a good character overall, just not for me, so i think it's good if people don't just jump on the hype train but check if her playstyle fits them. Ah and I also use childe with xiangling so I'm not in need for a national driver/dps.

I didn't play during the time that Raiden Shogun was released- started playing during the Albedo and Eula rerun- but I heard that she pairs quite well in a triple Geo team with Itto, Zhongli and Gorou, and she could be what I may need for battery. Though at the same time, having Kokomi for a Freeze Ganyu comp would also be nice. We'll see what I might go for. Ayato is also quite nice.
I am 100% going to try for Raiden. After playing her in that one event, I was hooked. Her gameplay is so satisfying. May the RNG be on my side. Good luck to all first timers and people pulling for constellations.
I pulled for Raiden for my birthday last year and I did not regret spending for her. She's the first character that I studied how to build. Still doing my best to get better artifacts for her and I am consistently using her. 🥰
Even as a Raiden haver I'm still just as hyped as I was before when she first released. Very happy she's my first 5 star she literally changed my whole gameplay.
I have her at C0 with the catch and definitely in my top 3 fave characters to use, other two being eula and kazuha. I'm still hoping to get yae after losing but I might roll on Ei's banner for Sara cons and maybe get lucky and get c2 ei. If don't, honestly really want Ayato.
Awesome video and accurate! As a c0 Raiden owner though, I'm not sure I agree with one point. I do believe she is a "must pull" if there ever was one. Obviously it can depend on your account, but assuming you have the other components of the national team available, she just makes that team game-breakingly good. The uptime on that team is pretty much only possible with Raiden, and my next closest "stacked team" (Kazuha/Kokomi/c6 Diona/Ayaka w. mistsplitter) only puts out about 65% of the sustained DPS (averaged over multi & single target) that the Raiden team is capable of.
Great summary and yes she is super versatile. Raiden is a rare character that if you managed to get her you’d want a second copy of her, one to run on a team as a main dps and one as a sub dps/support on a second team. Not that many characters you would say that about.
I saved through all of Yae Miko's banner for the Raiden re-run (I'm at 70 pity with a guaranteed Raiden on my next 5 star). I know how much of a risk it is, but I spent all of those primos going for Engulfing Lightning. A massive gamble...BUT IT PAID OFF!!! It only took about 40 pulls (all of those pulls were singles, I wasn't wasting any more primo's than I had to). My previous weapon was an R5 Prototype Starglitter, and Engulfing Lightning absolutely demolishes it.
Definitely pulling for her, got several team comp options and only one decent battery unit atm. and hoping for a up coming venti rerun so I can get all the archons.
well I can say one thing, there are only two dedicated batteries in the game, the electro MC and raiden shogun... the fact that electro MC is trash, is a good enough reason to pull for raiden... with enkanomiya mihoyo has introduced quite a few enemies that zap your energy... which further necessiates a battery unit like raiden... who knows may be they will introduce them in spiral abyss...
It makes me glad I pulled her in her first banner, it will save me a lot of worrying in the future 😂 I have her built very poorly and yet she deals pretty solid damage and is easy to use. I use Raiden National and it makes the abyss quite fun, because the rotations are very forgiving
So far the Archons do provide so much utility in your account, which is why I will definitely pull for all Archons. I can't wait for the Dendro Archon to be released.
On one hand, Raiden would be a great addition to have, especially being a F2P player like myself. I was able to pull Zhongli on his last banner and he has made my life 200% better because of it, and if Raiden can help solve my energy issues and be able to slot into any team like I can with Zhongli and his shield, then that would be incredible. On the other hand though... I really want to pull for Ayato when he comes out, and maybe try to pull for his weapon too if I have enough left over, though i only stated saving gems a couple weeks ago and only got enough for just over 20 pulls. Much less pulling his weapon, the chance of me pulling Ayato himself is up in the air. I feel really conflicted now... ^×^'
I'm saving for Raiden and I will have her on her release banner. Prepared for give her 1-9-10 talents, lvl 90, will use Skyward Spine. she will have around 2k atk, 58% crt rate and 154% crt dmg with around 230% energy recharge. I'm excited to get her. So excited to get her
If there is Sara in her banner, I probably try to snipe Sara and try to get at least at C2 for Hypercarry Raiden team.. Hyper carry Raiden is probably one of the most fun team that I played so far.. The damage output hypercarry C0 raiden is nearly the same with C0 Eula with Zhongli.. So it can be playable at the abbys too.. SO WISH YOU LUCK IN THE NEXT BANNER ALL RAIDEN WANTERS!

How do you pull Raiden? Can she be got for a new player from a banner when it is available? Or is there a barrier to get her? If anyone can reply it would help, I want to get into Genshin Impact but I am the type of player that needs a character to get invested in and messing up could be a major deflator for me. Thanks to Sevy for the video as I'm glad to see Raiden is worth my attention and possible effort.

Raiden's actually the main reason I started playing Genshin. A classmate was playing the game and asked me if I'd like to try it out and I did. I was checking out abilities and then I got to raiden's burst and was left in absolute awe from how good it looks and immediately fell in love with her. A month and 47 adventure ranks later I have 48 pity and 117 wishes for her 🤞

Same. I started genshin back when kazuha banner dropped. I got into genshin cuz friend showed me a clip of rock climbing lisa. But after like 2 weeks, i kinda started getting bored. That is until Raiden leaks surfaced. From then on, i started hard saving and when she finally dropped, i got her! Wanted more xiangling dupes so i kept pulling and then BAM! Another raiden suddenly showed up. Months passed and now im ready to get her c2 and signature weapon
A lot of people who quit came back because of Raiden no kap

She is is my personal favorite gameplay character next to Kazuha.

I would consider Raiden as one of the highest value adding character to your account. The QOL she gives in terms of the Abyss and overworld is *chef’s kiss*. Just a personal take but I’d place her next to Kazuha in terms of being a must pull.
yeah she's proved to be an excellent Electro character to have so yeah, she's quite a must pull character considering how her first banner's sales just skyrocketed like crazy
I put Raiden above kazuha, since sucrose exist. While no electro as good and usefull as raiden
If we look at 5 star characters, there aren't really a lot of them that deserves a pull. Other than Raiden, Kazuha, Ganyu/Ayaka (pick your poison), Venti, Zhongli (for those who need shield) there really aren't any 5 star characters that can guarantee instant upgrade to an account in general.

Imo Raiden is the most balanced character. She brings a lot of Quality of Life in battle. She can be a DPS, sub DPS, burst damage Amplifier, and a reaction enabler. I think she's the safest character to pull because of her flexibility in terms of team role.

To all Raiden pullers who can't guarantee her spear, she doesn't need Engulfing Lightning! At R1 it's at most a 10-15% dmg increase from R5 Catch. Raiden is very similar to Xiangling wherein she can use majority of the other 4/5* spears. As the video said, C2/3 are way better bargains than Engulfing Lightning.
But hey if you're decided to gamble for her spear, which is PROBABLY gonna be rerun with Kokomi's donut which is not a good pull, be my guest and good luck on the gacha, spend responsibly.

@@C0T_gt my top picks are dragons bane and wavebreaker's fin (r3 and up). in fact as far as i can tell with my own xiangling, dragons bane does more damage than the catch. but i run xiangling in a raiden national team anyway so its probably the EM that helps doing the extra dmg. been experimenting since i recently got skyward spine, which i recently maxed out and gave my raiden.
She’s a comfort unit for me, similar to Zhongli. She made battles a lot easier. I-frames from ults are also very useful for survival. The only trouble I had was building her. Balancing ER, Crit and ATK was really hard.

her weapon is literally a stat stick and helps you to easily balance her stats and saving your resin for grinding the perfect artifacts, unless you already have one.

Raiden brought me back to Genshin after an extended break. She's the first character I ever spent $$ on and I've never regretted it. And since I lost the 50/50 on Yae, I'm guaranteed C1 so I see that as a win!
The only caveat I'd have are for new players or those who aren't in Inazuma yet. Her ascension materials are almost as far away from Mondstat as you can get, so if you pull her she will be stuck at lvl 40 for as long as it takes for you to get there. While this isn't ideal, she still carried me through a lot of content with nothing but the Catch (which isn't mandatory, but you will get it for free). Also, she pairs great with Xiang Ling who you get for free.
All in all, great character. 10/10 would recommend.
Better go c2 you won't need another character anytime soon, electro and hydro will replace pyro and Cryo after Dendro release

That Raiden National team got me my first 36 star abyss clear. Quick swapping characters for a full rotation and then having all bursts basically up by the time you end her burst cycle is such a treat
Having c2 Raiden will net you a year of 36 star abyss for sure
Don't even need Xiangling cause Sara can change her sand get your burst to 400k with just the catch Benny and Sara

This comment is for anyone who has C2 or has the intention of getting it.
The team I have been using is Raiden, Sarah, qiqi, xingqui/koko. It's sort of a hybrid of a hypercarry freeze comp. What isn't Frozen gets electrocuted and qiqi with the clam set puts out fairly consistent damage and constantly heals while losing her energy problems. The reason I'm even mentioning it is that I do clear the abyss with it and it is a heal comp and not a shield comp. It's absolutely invincible and the rotation is pretty tight. Just a fun way to get value out of qiqi and overcoming anti-shield meta
If it works, it works.....it's just very scuffed.
Fischl, shogun, kokomi, xq will give you faster clear time with very comfortable playstyle.
Qiqi is only worth to build if you reaally like her or have too many resources.
Replacing Qiqi with Bennett will up your DMG by a ton
Well i can only lead a horse to water here. The point is its a raiden hyper carry team which takes advantage of sara, frees up bennet for the other side, and gives guaranteed max clam stacks, and freeze.
There are plenty of ways to replace characters for more damage. But why if you do enough already you can add utilities. Save more buffers for your other team. Make that more damaging. It's just what I've done for the past three abyss while i just buff the hell outa the other side with more flexibility.

I started playing Genshin at the end of Raiden's banner, I was still a week into the game and she was my second 5-star after Mona in her banner, I didn't know how to play her until I was already AR 40 and benched her until I've gotten my current team to Friendship Level 10, the learning curve from her stacking to her Energy Recharge mechanics as a new player was pretty long and was something I wasn't able to wrap my head around for a while.
The payoff after that was amazing, fishing wasn't much of a big deal for me but it really does matter with how much damage Miss Shogun does and seeing my first 90k with a single press of a button made my mid-AR heart so giddy lmaooooo now I'm currently choosing her weapon over her constellations after I get Kokomi because having C0 + weapon of my favorite characters matters more to me than constellations
If you are worried about her damage, my Raiden is C0 with Catch and a strong Emblem set (not cracked but very good) and her first slash often hits for over 100k. She is a very strong character.

Raiden Shogun was actually my first 5 star character when I was still doing the Liyue Archon Quest so I had my Raiden sitting at level 40 for a big chunk of my playtime as I never rushed the story. To this day I don't regret getting her. Definitely one of if not my favorite character on my account next to Itto and Kokomi.
Loving my c2 raiden. I hit for about 400k in abyss and in overworld 325k with both bennet and c6 sara. 220k with just Sara and with her engulfing lightning Im getting over 300 ER and everyones bursts are up each time. Perfect character that synergizes many teams. The beidou thing is overblown...once you get a sara to c6 or get yae and are using kazuha in her team youll find yourself never ever using beidou with her anyways so just get her NOW because youll end up waiting another year considering were heading into sumeru soon

it only gave me crit rate but shitty substats rolling to either elemental mastery or defense. never saw a crit dmg as well

At first I wanted Yae Miko. Now that I realise that she is a bit lackluster at the moment, I decided to pull for Raiden and Sara instead. I skipped them for Kokomi at the time so if I could pair Raiden, (hopefully C6) Sara, Venti/Sucrose and Xingqui I could get a nice team
Definitely going for her C3 this rerun. Currently at C2 and I can't be put at ease if I don't pull the last constellation for her to be perfect. She's such a good unit that fits well in my team comps so she deserves the best👌

Ei became my first archon that I pulled for her, along with her weapon and I had a blast using her. At first I thought I wasn't going to like her, but then once her teaser trailers started dropping, I was a bit curious. Then the Inazuma arc happened, we learned a bit more about her, I heard her voice and here we are now. Hell, even her current quest added a bit more layers into her, making her a very soild character period. Anne was very good as the electric archon and can't wait to hear more from her as Ei. Gameplay just felt very fun and while I did get the catch, I run that with Xiangling and overall even at C0, Ei is more then enough. I will give you a HUGE round of applause that bringing up the fact that you DON'T need Ei at C2 in order to be good because god was that annoying to hear when Ei came out and that was all everyone kept yelling about with the other thing being Beidou and Ei can't work together. Seriously, I 100% agreed with a guy I follow who runs those two and me as well by testing and overall they work fine and Ei is just great at C0 ONLY if you really want C2 but I am good with my C0 Ei lol. In any case, awesome job with the video as usual Sevy!

I will not personally be pulling Constellations for Raiden - she's at C0 for me. Saving up for Kazuha for me.. or saving up for the next Yae Miko banner.
I won't go for Engulfing Lightning either, I could definitely use an additional Polearm right now - my polearm pool consists of Skyward Spine R3 (Shenhe), Primordial Jade Winged-Spear (Zhongli), Staff of Homa (Raiden), The Catch (Xiangling), Favonius Lance (Yun Jin), Deathmatch (Rosaria).. I also have Hu Tao which I no longer use. Dragon's Bane R5, Kitain Cross Spear R5, Blackcliff Polearm R2 are still available to use right now

I want Ayato, but I also kinda want Raiden. There's only one Fischl and I suffer playing Beidou, so I don't use her very often, and Raiden-Childe combo I tried out during the last misty dungeon (I think?) was really fun. Her main disadvantage is that I don't really like Ei's characterisation (though I've heard her new quest is better than the first one, haven't done it yet tbh), and I don't pull for characters I don't like. Her puppet is fine though, so lol.
I suggest playing her second quest and see what that does to you first since it explains more of her point of view that led to her actions. As for utility, meta and fun playstyle, Raiden has all of those. And she really would change your life in the abyss. Raiden is also a unit that you can already be sure of to be good based on the feedback of most players.

I wish I would of watched this video before I pulled her. Being a new player I wasnt even in Inazuma to be able to level her up. But at any rate, I'm still glad I got her because she is a beautifully made character. Thank you Sevy for the time you put into you well made videos. I appreciate what you do. It helps a lot.
I pulled her during my birthday week. I was due for a pity ,and when I did a single wish I got her C2, but she's now at C3. I'm very happy with her, and she kicks ass in spiral abyss!
I remember doing 2 pulls for her ironically when my friend came over to play some genshin. I got a golden wish on a 50/50 and we were freaking out because I didn't actually want Raiden that much, and lo and behold, it was her. And you know what? I regret nothing! She's so fun to play, and opens up a window for teams that I'd never thought to try before. I really really like her gameplay and she's definitely helped me get 36* on Spiral Abyss on a few iterations. A really fun unit to use!
I love my raiden! I usually use her with my eula for easy superconducts and battery! The two of them together really lend to an amazing experience! And Sevy amazing job on the video! It was insanely well made and everything was done to perfection!

I'm a Honkai impact player first before Genshin and when I saw the similarities between Genshin's Archons and Honkai's Herrschers well, I've been waiting for Raiden to appear since I'm a huge simp for Raiden Mei, Honkai's Herrscher of Thunder. And I honestly screamed my lungs out when mihoyo teased her name as the electro Archon as well as when she finally appeared. I don't really care for the hate clout she got just because of her complex characterization, for me her characterization and the flaws of her decision is what gives her character depth and meaning. I think we honestly need more flawed characters like her and childe, their stories were the most interesting ones for me.
I almost had a heart attack when Zhongli first mentioned her, also long time Mei's lover, HoT since her first release have been my hypercarry with Apho version she has a special place in my heart.
Now with Genshin, we got to know Ei's tragic, complex and questionable story, with a kit that I've been wanting for a long time (ult spam), since September she rarely left the main team

But from another perspective, no character is a must pull in the game. You can beat most of the content with the free characters.

I have C0 Raiden and I have invested a lot into her (she was my main dps for a long time) and i have to say, the damage is not that great. It certainly isn't enough for current content unless your supports are god level.

Since Raiden Ei came out I never mained an other character except in the abyss, She is the most fun out of all the characters at least for me, and the fact that her damage scales of her ER makes It even better, her Burst fill up before her ult ends, besides the fact that electro is my fav element, she is Its archon and has the prettiest modele imo
She's amazing even at C0. And with R4 WB Fin, Xiangling can use The Catch.

Out of the 3 archons released, Raiden is probably the only one that's very hard to power creep or indirectly nerf without nerfing other burst reliant characters.
Raiden is my first 5 star and I got her earlier when her banner came up. I was so hyped, just stared at her art for minutes before clicking away.
I'd love to have Raiden but she is currently 4th on my totem pole.
It's the Kamisato Sibling, Zhongli (lost my most recent 50/50 to Qiqi 😭) then her, with Kazuha close behind.
Im hoping Ayato is basically 5-star Xingqui and Ayaka has been my most wanted unit since the event that let us rome around in a dungeon like area with characters that we didn't have yet.

She is always more than worth it for me. I saved for her the moment I saw leaks about her. I adored her overall design (I kinda like purple and fond of Japanese culture so this is a plus for me), lore, gameplay, and especially her being a polearm character since polearm is my favorite weapon in the game. I can't wait for her 1st rerun because I'll be getting her signature weapon since I lost to the Unforged last time.

I am definitely going to pull for her. After watching her trailer for the first time, I was totally impressed by her skills and look. What else there is to say, she is pretty powerful. I will main her once I pull a copy of her, if I get lucky that is.
I have to agree, ever since I got raiden she's been super useful in overworld and the abyss. It's nice that she almost always has her burst up and is so versatile, synergysing well with so many characters.
I swore an oath to myself that I will prioritize having all the archons before anything else in the game. So excited for Raiden's banner!!!

She is good atm even tho we don't have that many characters that synergize with her kit so she would be needed for future characters/teams if there would be any. Her dmg at C0 is just not that great while her c2 and c3 makes her way stronger, I would keep her dmg cap for c2 and c3 the same but buff her dmg at c0 a lil bit - just 5% is good enough imo.

I am one of those ppl who didn't appreciate her at first. But when I started building her and learned abt Raiden Nat'l Team, she was never benched in my Abyss teams.
If you love her character design, and wanted to build a teamcomp to help you clear Abyss, then Raiden will definitely be a worthy pull for you. 😊

Thanks for your insight for people who are undecided! I might be one of the only people who is glad I didn't get her on her first banner. I pulled for Sara back then and stopped at 60 wishes in. I trialed her over and over, but her playstyle just didn't click with me. Or her personality. While the puppet lore concept is rlly cool, and she has cool animations, I don't like the flashy colors, the way she auto aims and moves towards the enemy, that her burst only lasts 6 (or 7?) seconds, her Chakra system where you have to keep track of when to cast her burst, and her long ass skill descriptions in her kit. I would rate her a good character overall, just not for me, so i think it's good if people don't just jump on the hype train but check if her playstyle fits them. Ah and I also use childe with xiangling so I'm not in need for a national driver/dps.
She seems really fun and I love her design, but as a F2P I feel like I'd regret it if I didn't save all I've got for Kazuha.

I didn't play during the time that Raiden Shogun was released- started playing during the Albedo and Eula rerun- but I heard that she pairs quite well in a triple Geo team with Itto, Zhongli and Gorou, and she could be what I may need for battery. Though at the same time, having Kokomi for a Freeze Ganyu comp would also be nice. We'll see what I might go for. Ayato is also quite nice.
I pulled raiden And kojou this week and then 3 days later pulled c1 for both!!! Blessed! Now the long road to lvl her.

I am 100% going to try for Raiden. After playing her in that one event, I was hooked. Her gameplay is so satisfying. May the RNG be on my side. Good luck to all first timers and people pulling for constellations.
I pulled for Raiden for my birthday last year and I did not regret spending for her. She's the first character that I studied how to build. Still doing my best to get better artifacts for her and I am consistently using her. 🥰
Even as a Raiden haver I'm still just as hyped as I was before when she first released. Very happy she's my first 5 star she literally changed my whole gameplay.
Raiden National has been carrying my abyss runs ever since her release.
ZHONGLI and RAIDEN both have been amazing and valuable units so far
My Raiden has come a long way… from a dps to an em support, how times change.
I have her at C0 with the catch and definitely in my top 3 fave characters to use, other two being eula and kazuha. I'm still hoping to get yae after losing but I might roll on Ei's banner for Sara cons and maybe get lucky and get c2 ei. If don't, honestly really want Ayato.

Awesome video and accurate! As a c0 Raiden owner though, I'm not sure I agree with one point. I do believe she is a "must pull" if there ever was one. Obviously it can depend on your account, but assuming you have the other components of the national team available, she just makes that team game-breakingly good. The uptime on that team is pretty much only possible with Raiden, and my next closest "stacked team" (Kazuha/Kokomi/c6 Diona/Ayaka w. mistsplitter) only puts out about 65% of the sustained DPS (averaged over multi & single target) that the Raiden team is capable of.
Great summary and yes she is super versatile. Raiden is a rare character that if you managed to get her you’d want a second copy of her, one to run on a team as a main dps and one as a sub dps/support on a second team. Not that many characters you would say that about.
I saved through all of Yae Miko's banner for the Raiden re-run (I'm at 70 pity with a guaranteed Raiden on my next 5 star). I know how much of a risk it is, but I spent all of those primos going for Engulfing Lightning. A massive gamble...BUT IT PAID OFF!!! It only took about 40 pulls (all of those pulls were singles, I wasn't wasting any more primo's than I had to). My previous weapon was an R5 Prototype Starglitter, and Engulfing Lightning absolutely demolishes it.
Definitely pulling for her, got several team comp options and only one decent battery unit atm. and hoping for a up coming venti rerun so I can get all the archons.
I love raiden and her 2nd act story quest was really nice
well I can say one thing, there are only two dedicated batteries in the game, the electro MC and raiden shogun... the fact that electro MC is trash, is a good enough reason to pull for raiden... with enkanomiya mihoyo has introduced quite a few enemies that zap your energy... which further necessiates a battery unit like raiden... who knows may be they will introduce them in spiral abyss...
It makes me glad I pulled her in her first banner, it will save me a lot of worrying in the future 😂 I have her built very poorly and yet she deals pretty solid damage and is easy to use. I use Raiden National and it makes the abyss quite fun, because the rotations are very forgiving

So far the Archons do provide so much utility in your account, which is why I will definitely pull for all Archons. I can't wait for the Dendro Archon to be released.
On one hand, Raiden would be a great addition to have, especially being a F2P player like myself. I was able to pull Zhongli on his last banner and he has made my life 200% better because of it, and if Raiden can help solve my energy issues and be able to slot into any team like I can with Zhongli and his shield, then that would be incredible.
On the other hand though... I really want to pull for Ayato when he comes out, and maybe try to pull for his weapon too if I have enough left over, though i only stated saving gems a couple weeks ago and only got enough for just over 20 pulls. Much less pulling his weapon, the chance of me pulling Ayato himself is up in the air. I feel really conflicted now... ^×^'
I'm saving for Raiden and I will have her on her release banner. Prepared for give her 1-9-10 talents, lvl 90, will use Skyward Spine. she will have around 2k atk, 58% crt rate and 154% crt dmg with around 230% energy recharge. I'm excited to get her. So excited to get her
Raiden is a SAVIOUR on my account. I don’t ever have to worry about downtime when she’s on the team and is amazing.
If there is Sara in her banner, I probably try to snipe Sara and try to get at least at C2 for Hypercarry Raiden team..
Hyper carry Raiden is probably one of the most fun team that I played so far.. The damage output hypercarry C0 raiden is nearly the same with C0 Eula with Zhongli..
So it can be playable at the abbys too..
