- The Tundra was in need of some new filters as I came off my covered maintenance. In less than 30 minutes I was enjoying fresh filters at a fraction of the price.

Just did my 2014 tundra after watching your video . Thank you !
Had my two filters for a week in my garage, and today my 12 years old daughter used your instructional video, to replaced them, thank you for sharing.
That's awesome! Glad it came in handy!
Nicely done “How To” video. You took your time & calmly explained the steps. I’m getting ready to change out my filters on our 2017 Tundra.
Thank you! Working on this truck has been great, one of the easier vehicles I've owned.
Great video...thanks for posting!
That air filter is good for another 20,000 miles.
My air filter after 90k had 2 mice and nest on it. I removed cabin filter. It doesn't have one now. It can breathe without restrictions. 😁
2 mice and a nest, damn that's some performance robbery right there!
Hey this question may sound stupid but are you sure were supposed to leave on that white foam on the filter?
Oh yeah, it’s glued in place and is advertised in the description. I definitely questioned if it should stay when I took it out of the box though.
Looks alot easier than my 2017 silverado lots of screws and covers to remove
I have to admit, the Tundra is the easiest vehicle I've ever owned to swap the filters.
What was your mileage when the engine air filter was replaced?
I had just hit about 24,000 when I filmed this.
@@GarageAddiction Thank you. I am hearing that 15 to 30k miles is the sweet spot for changing. So you are right in between there. 👍
I just changed mine with a wix but it’s not as nice as he one you put 🤔
Odd, I only saw one part number on their lookup. Curious to see the other one.
Garage Addiction well I have the 4.6 maybe why . But I like the one you have more pleated more surface area
Does the wix arrow indicate air flow or orientation someone help please
I'm fairly certain the arrow indicates air flow.
You should of used a Wix cabin air filter, its proven to keep the most particles, dust and dirt out.
Do you have a link to a comparison? I'm always looking for a real world comparison vs marketing wank!
@@GarageAddiction Which Car Air Filter is Best? Let's find out! Fram, K&N, Wix, Purolator, & AC Delco showdown the youtube channel is Project Farm
Ah yeah I should have guessed it was Project Farm haha, thanks!
Imagine that was over 100 bucks worth of services at the dealership
I haven't had any service done at a dealership in ages but I can easily see each filter being $75
@@GarageAddiction went a few days ago and they wanted 497 dollars for the 30k services which is basically a inspection, tighten bolts and change air filters. They do charge 49.99 for a cabin and 69.99 for a engine air filter as separate services lol fuck them
@@GarageAddiction but thank you for your video literally took under 10 minutes to knock out both
@@devinchapman6444 Glad it was helpful!
@@devinchapman6444 That's insane!
That pre-filter is an awful feature. That’s not going to help mileage at all. The stock air filter protects the engine just fine and doesn’t destroy your fuel economy
Getting the same mileage as the stock, I don't think it's all that much of of a restriction.
What’s your source and knowledge that the pre-filter will lose mileage? Do some testing between the Wix and OEM and come back with objective conclusion.
i bought the same air filter and thought the same thing… i just took that part off. seemed silly
Thank you for the tips
Prefilter no good for the tundra cut back driving Power you thank me later
