I really liked this review and just wanted to mention that line6 released Spider Remote for desktop computers. So now you can do all your editing on your computer. The built in ASIO drivers work very well and well and the addition of the editor and the direct recording via and playback through FR speakers in the cab make it an excellent hookup for a notebook PC. You get a pretty good almost HIFI sounding speaker direct through USB to the Spider V. I was about to sell mine because I like my Marshall tube amp. But now this sits in the livingroom and works great on the TV with my little 3x1.5 inch micropc. Especially with tools like Yousician and games like rocksmith.
The Line6 Spider IV is fantastic..i bought the spider IV 75 Watt simply a brilliant Amp..Solid State/Modeling Amps technology the past 20+ years is remarkable..you don't need a Tube Amp anymore for the Tones..Solid State/Modeling Amps do it all and more..and their much more reliable than any Tube Amp i have told my Story many times how up until 2009 i was a Tube Amp user only..that all changed in 2009 when i was introduced to a Marshall MG 100FX..I haven't used a Tube Amp since..my Marshall MG 100FX and my Line6 Spider IV Came stock with Celestion Speakers..and both Amps are almost 10 years old and not one single issue with them..can't say that about any Tube Amp...
Maybe a good thing they hate them makes them cheaper and a great sound with allot of option. Mostly people who only say tube bit it isnt better it's just being a cool thing to bash line 6 but it's definitly a great amp.
All well showing off the different tones but no insight into how to set them on the amp. I have a Line6 240 and would like more guidance on how to get these tones
Spider 4 Is better solely on the basis that the Speaker is actually decent compared to the spider 5 which basically has no low end unless you directly plug it in to your PC
yea i was thinking of getting a 12 speaker from an old amp and seeing it it will have a better range of sound ill have to cut the hole bigger but it will be a upgrade thats probably free if i can can raid the trash

Same here. Got rid of my tube amp and got a Spider IV with the pedalboard. Don't need anything else.

Hi guys, what guitar was used in this review?
Tell me, what kind of guitar? Using the G10 does not increase the background 50/60 hertz?
Looks like a Yamaha Revstar...
What product are your using to play wireless? It is no included with the amp is it?
Hi Peter, we're using the G10 wireless system that comes with the SpiderV!
The G10 is an optional purchase for about $100.00 US
What guitar were you playing there?
Its the Reverend Bob Balch signature - www.bettermusic.com.au/reverend-balgvb
What is the name of the song @ 3:42?
Hey John,
It's 'Wish You Were Here' by Pink Floyd.
Cheers,
Murdoch

Don't you think this guy on the right looks like Sam Tarley from Game of Thrones.

i wonder if a speaker from my stereo would work or would it not take the sound the right way
As long as the the spider has left and right audio outputs you should be able to use any speakers
yea its output is much better than the onboard speaker and in stereo aswell
More Demo less talk!
VOX - Rulez! Line 6 --> plastic guano.
Distortion still sounds far away of real amp
Doesn't even compare to the Katana.
