Just my humble opinion as a long time subscriber, I think you guys should put a twin turbo kit on the burnout car, make it look obnoxious but tune it very conservatively to be safe on the motor, give only a small power increase while shooting big flames while doing the burnout. I'm not exactly sure how possible that is but you get what I'm saying, build it for putting on a show don't focus on big power.
Here my tips to popping tyres......front tyres at 25psi rears tyres between 40 n 50 psi...when starting select the gear you want to skid in say 3rd don't change gear don't move straight away till you can see heaps of smoke from the rear tyres say 3 seconds.......then send it ......cover all four corners of the pad then use the middle to finish and pop them and listen at driver meeting .......happy skidding
Gotta remember on those stock miata transmissions. 4th gear is built into the main shaft so it's the least likely to break. Sp just burn her in 4th if it will. Shorter tire and a 1.6l miata gear (4:30) and she will EAT
