to kee the trans going just fit verry narrow tires or pump them up realy hard so theres verry little tread actually touching the road should make it eazier for him to burst the tires too as for the wide band , dont think garza will look at it , might be better to mount a big red flashing light in his field of view to warn him that the engine is about to have a meltdown from : ean mixture / loss of coolant/ loss of oilpressure you should pull out the front a little , gives him a little mure crumple space before he hits vital parts , make tie it to a tree in the front and a heavy car on the back and use a winch or come along to slowly pull it sideways and out
As long as you use an electronic boost controller to taper the boost low to high and keep levels low enough to keep the WTQ at or less than 225wtq, the 5 speed will handle it. you can make atleast 285whp and keep the 5speed reliable. even with some moderate track fun. It's not horsepower that kills the trans. It's when your peak wtq is over 230 is when they fail everytime. 225wtq is the magic number that will live with lots of abuse. 235wtq is short lived and anything more and it will blow super fast However you can turn the boost up all the way in 4th gear. 4th gear is a solid shaft and has never broken. 400+whp in 4th is safe! You'll break the diff housing before you can brake 4th gear in a miata 5speed manual lol
I think y'all should put a brace on that turbo, and tighten up the mounting, the original header likely failed because the engine is so violently shaking around.
