I repeat this every time I watch a video about bipedal walkers: It's easy to underestimate just how complex the seemingly-mundane the act of walking is, it involves many subtle motions all over the body that most people simply don't have to think about.
I would love a bi-pedal walker race. You take a bunch of walkers from the workshop, put them in a line and change it so the control for the W key is always on so they auto-run on spawn without a pilot. This way they can all race in a straight line at the same time. The only thing stopping this idea is the complexity limit.
Or a multiplayer Monday where they each build a bipedal walker, then get a little time with one another's walkers to make any customizations they want, then need to complete a lap with each one to finish the race.
In order: 3: Bipedal Combat Walker (ibzillah) for it's weight shifting style of walking, which is less intuitive, but more realistic 2: Buster Walker(greenstoner)/Prototype Walker (yazawaowl), for the smooth jogging/walking locomotion. Quite impressive, and likely absurdly complex in it's logic, if it's something beyond simple timing loop. 1: Sprint Mech Walker epic gamer (pigeonmaster29), specifically for the unique leg construction. It uses both foot-to-hip turning, like ibzillah's, a 2 joint hip, and the hip-to-knee and ankle that provides a relatively level stride without relying too much on counter-torque stabilizers.

I would like to note, the metal gear walker, it looks like the Gekko, which is a bipedal machine which acts like a bull that has weird legs and a foot that looks almost like a chicken's foot with hooves for toes. Metal Gear can be weird sometimes, but hey MGR let's you tear them to ribbons for the hell of it and let's your drink the funny Gatorade in them.
My brain is rolling over the idea of a walker in Instruments of Destruction whose balance is maintained by anchoring one foot to the ground, moving the second foot forward, anchoring it, unanchoring the first, and so on-- rather than using balloons or the gyro piece. It sounds dumb but I bet it would work.
Hey, that first walker is Metal Gear Rex! And from what I can see, the one from the first game since it still has the 'naked nuke' (the weapon on Rex's right side) as they called it in the game. Edit: Fixing some grammatical errors
Day 131 of Asking scrapman to make a Machine that make that uses the steal balls and magnets to make the steal ball orbit around your creation with out any thing touching them and try to take out a building with it in instruments of destruction
i have idea for instrments of destruction, if you had two harpoons that do no damage but had super high retracting speed, connect them to two buildings, maybe it could be a slingshot.
So out of all of my 37 mechs which 90% being bipedal and 50% that has the same running anamation as that buster with the same suspension on the bottom. None of them got in this video
Fun fact for any who don't know grimlock is an actual transformers character from the transformers franchise this one seeming to be from the movie version
The bipedal combat walker by ibzilla looks like a cowboy waking through a western town. It even has cow skin paint and a hat. Even dual pistols. Sorry if I butchered the name.
Grimlock is from transformers movies aka the movies with Optimus Prime there are different alien sub species of transformers and grimlock is one of the many different sub species
day 49 of asking scrapman to do a multiplayer where everyone starts at the crashed ship with a craftbot already at the mechanic station and everyone has 30 minutes to build a vehicle from scratch, no glitches, thrusters allowed, after which everyone meets up and races along some road No offense but maps and hide and seek have gotten slightly repetitive I really want to see the old multiplayer Monday’s back

For me the walkers with least Powercores are the best. Makes building more complex but also more satisfying. No gimbal, no servos, Real mastership.

Have you ever looked at using suspension as recoil dampeners in TrailMakers?
It’s currently not that great for some reason, physics should work for this based on my understanding but it mildly works
