I like to put some water in the tub as I shake everything up. It stops the cloud of plastic dust that is otherwise released when you open it. I don't want to breathe that stuff.
@@DevsDice You are so right. Last night I started by texturing the styrofoam ahead of time with foil and a rock before cutting it using your system, and it’s turning out pretty good now. Thanks so much for the tips!!!
It's worth bearing in mind that they're always too large. If we made bricks to true scale they would be minute. It's a trade off between realism, aesthetics and practicality.
The best in the business! Devs and Dice!!!!
Naaaw! So nice of you to say! Thank you! 👍😊

That is an awesome suggestion! Thank you so much for sharing that! 👍😊
DevsDice and erics hobby workshop are the best on youtube.
Thank you so much! It is an honor for me to be compared to such large and popular channels! Thank you! 👍💙💛💙
Great short for any beginner crafters! Learn well younglings!
Thank you kindly! 👍😅
You make it look so darn easy!!! Lol
Strangely enough it is pretty easy. Even with a blade and metal rule. Wire cutters just make it instantly accurate and faster.
You can do it as well, just take your time! 👍😊

Great tip!
Need to try this!!!
Please do! And remember to have fun! 👍😊
I really need to get one of these
I recommend them for sure! 👍😊
@@DevsDice I'm hoping to get one for my birthday which will be in a few days fingers crossed and I'll keep you updated 😁
Thanks, Devs. Mine seem to large. Ill try your measurements 👍

@@kallisto9166 ok. I'll simply accept it as it is 👍 cheers
Please do! These are however still larger than a "brick" would be. But I find the scale "close-enough"! 👍😅
Hey! Could you teach us how to glue them also? I'm using wood glue but I guess there's better options
There are a multitude of options: white Quick-set hobby glue, PVA-glue, wood glue and hot glue are some of my favorites! 👍😊
And advices for the one of us who don't have those lovely machine ? Thanks for the content comrade !
A blade and a metal rule does the same thing, just takes longer and you need to ensure accuracy as the rule or foam can slip while cutting.
Use a really sharp knife and change blades often. It's honestly shocking how quickly XPS foam blunts your blades.
Like the other commenters says. Use a shark knife, metal ruler and take your time with the cut! 👍😊
where did you get that mdf guide for your proxxon ?
It's from Shifting Lands. One of a number of fantastic add-ons for the Thermocut. Great customer service too.
It's from Shiftinglands! There is also Dungeon by Hand that makes guides for the Proxxon! 👍😊
How can I prevent my foam from melting
I use a rattle can because I can’t afford an airbrush
Cheap black hobby paint. Takes a bit but ultracheap.
You need to coat it with something that can withstand the aersol primer and I have had good experience with Mod Podge and Paint as a base primer! 👍😊
@@DevsDice thank you so much
Bye your videos are the best
Hahahahahaha!!!!! What if you only have a hot wire cutter
Handheld? Well use a metal ruler as a guide could work? 👍🤔
