  • If you're looking for the fastest way to lose belly fat in 2023, look no further than the new GLP-1 agonist drugs. The two main drugs in this category are semaglutide and tirzepatide. Semaglutide is available in two doses, with Ozempic being the lower dose and Wegovy the higher dose approved by the FDA for weight loss. However, if you're looking for the single drug that causes the most weight loss, look no further than tirzepatide, also known as Mounjaro.

aren't the drugs to be taken for the rest of your life and aren't there a lot of potentiel sideeffects?

      Yes!!

Yes to potential side effects, no to necessarily having to take them for the rest of your life. Other medications have already been trialed and prescribed in the past for morbid obesity, and usually if the person manages to have a significant amelioration in their body composition after 1~3 years, they would be taken off the drug and instructed to maintain the same healthy habits (exercise 150 minutes or more a week, healthy eating habits, active lifestyle), since they weren’t in as much health danger anymore if they went from, say, 500 pounds to 200 rapidly thanks to the help of the drug AND exercise and habits.
Then they can continue the way down to an even healthier weight simply with a personal coach/accredited dietitian/nutritionist team, which isn’t as expensive as some think. And keeping themselves regularly exercising, to go down to an even healthier weight. You don’t have to take the drugs for the rest of your life, it’s a treatment that is intended to help accelerate the process in the initial and intermediate stages of weight loss, particularly in those who suffer from obesity (or a health condition causing inactivity and obesity) and would see great returns on exercise at first, motivating them to maintain healthier habits. Also can help some handicapped people who have a harder time getting regular physical activity.

Ok Doctor Hansen. I’m an enthusiastic follower of yours and I want to share my story briefly. I almost didn’t get to enlist in the Reserves because of suspected metabolic syndrome that with a lot of fasting was able to pass. At 35 I went to boot camp I lost 10 pounds and probably gained muscular mass. Still didn’t quite make it to lose all the weight that I planned because of the substandard food given at the chow hall, I guess it’s fine for 18 years old recruits but I persevered. Anyway, started on Ozempic in November on a steady 0,5 mg dose weekly and at the same time started bupropion because of seasonal affective disorder. For me it proved to be a great combination. I have already lost 50 pounds, doing intermittent fasting that I keep in an ok regimen but not very strict either. I’m looking better than ever, granted I now know how to train myself to military standards. But this combination can be a way to not have to spend a lot on Mounjaro or Wegovy and keep everything on a lower dose to avoid a bounce effect, once out of GLP-1 in the system. IMHO. What are your thoughts?
