Thanks for the tutorial. Very well done! Yes, Joel's cover is fantastic. There is a part in the chorus where (it appears) he is arpeggiating through some of the chords. I wish you have covered that part.
+Hal Hearst I simplified that part in the chorus to make it more beginner friendly. If you want to play it like Joel does you start the chorus by strumming once on F - Em - Am - Em as I show in the video. Then you play Am - G - C - E, but instead of strumming the chords you will pick out the notes. It sounds like he is picking the following strings, Am --> 4-3-2-3 then G --> 6-3-2-3 then C --> 5-3-2-3 then simply strum twice on E to end the chord sequence. After that strum the remainder of the chorus as I show in the video (Am - G - C - E). Hope this helps!
Oh my god dude, THANK YOU. You are a life saver, we need more people like you! and I thought I was going to have to waste 20 minutes tabbing it myself xD Just...Thanks dude...
Vlad Ripper I was thinking about doing Guns for Hands and Car Radio sometime. I think Ride would also sound good on the acoustic. I'll see what I can do.
Make one that sounds like the guitar is singing instead of voice, something like "acoustic cover of smells like teen spirit" by Maxwell Hughes you should search him up.
I find an easel with dry erase and a laminated chord chart posted on the wall helpsore than them posting chords, write tn pattern so you understand and I'd easier to play and read
+Jennyplopp :D I use several different sizes, but my favorite is 0.60mm. It's on the thinner side which makes it more flexible. I like this because it gives a softer sound and the guitar doesn't over power my voice when singing (also the neighbors don't complain as much). As a bonus it doesn't slip in my hand as much as a heavier pick. The ones I use are called "Dunlop Nylon Max-grip".
+Fickle Mistress Thanks !!! I prefer a 0.96mm as I feel I can strum easier as I am a beginner but the pack I got has 0.58,0.71,0,81,0.96,1.20 and 1.50 so I will experiment to find my favourite !
Andrew Cox It's a Blueridge BR-160ce. The look of it is maybe a little over the top for my taste, but I bought it because it has a nice warm and balanced tone to it - not sure if that comes through in the recordings but in person it really stands out.
i thought thats what it was but the script in the headstock was hard to see for me. i have a blueridge br 140. it is one of the most awesome acoustics i have played. i am so impressed i am about to buy another one a br 183. thank you for the response my friend, and the video :)
+Vayne Arelius Use the palm of your strumming hand. Your palm needs to hit the strings at the same time as the pick in order to dampen the sound. Hope this helps.

Can i ask you? How do you mute it?
+Vayne Arelius Use the palm of your strumming hand. Your palm needs to hit the strings at the same time as the pick in order to dampen the sound. Hope this helps.
Oh Thanks Dude It Really Helps :)

Shouldn't you play it like a reggae style?
+Simon Groot Yes, you can do that too if you want.
