Bob Newhart’s comedy LPs are as hilarious today as they were 50 years ago. A true comedic genius !!
My mother owned several Bob Newhart. Record albums in the 1960s😅
I’ll check them out because so far I can’t see what all the fuss is about.
My Dad loved the original Bob Newhart show...every Saturday night at 9:30!
You're on my mind a lot today, Dad, love ya!!!
Rest In Peace.
You must be eastern time. Living in the Midwest, I always think 8:30. It's funny how we remember these things. From the inception of "The Bob Newhart Show" in '72, for three years it was "All in the Family", an ever-changing follow-up show, "The Mary Tyler Moore Show", Bob's show, and "The Carol Burnett Show", which had replaced "Mission: Impossible" mid season that first year.
I had to watch it in Boston as a boy because my mom loved it. And I think the Carol Burnett Show followed soon thereafter!

Yes, Carol was on after Bob! 😀
I'm so grateful to these videos. I saw these the first time and it's wonderful seeing them now. Late night has never been the same.
Johnny’s “like” will never come round again ! So many side-splitting humorous moments ! Thanks gentlemen !
So many people try to be him and fail. Bill Maher bobbing his head around with his hands behind his back might be the most embarrassing.
Late night was never the same, again.
This clip kept me howling. The banter between Johnny and Bob and you hear Ed laughing himself sick at the exchange. This is a classic Carson clip!!!
I loved watching Newhart as a kid. I didn't fully understand the final episode til years later when I finally watched the Bob Newhart show. And now as an adult, I discovered Bob. Those were the days of REAL comedy!!!
Nothing better than watching two buddies giving each other sh!+. Great banter!

Such a fan of Bob Newhart, his first show was the best
"He looks like a Nazi fighter pilot" - Don Rickles, Letterman 1983.
Every show ended with his sit ups.
Two comic geniuses.
"I won't *BE* Here,!.. ."
"YES, ..You *WILL.!* ..."
"He's Doing it Again... .."
😂😂😂🤣😂😂😂😂😆😆😆😂😂😂😂😂
Great memories of how things should be.
I always loved those two together. 😂 🥰
Two true comedic geniuses. Get wit and much banter off the cuff.
Carson will always be King of Late Night.
Love it! Thank-you
Carson’s delivery at 6:43 of “well, that’s…incredible…” is just golden.

This is my brother Daryl and my other brother Dyral!😂
Loved the way his 2nd show ended!! Very Classic.
That was fun
Is there a way to watch every episode from the beginning?
Many of the original shows were lost. There are some that can be viewed in their entirety. Takes some searching.
Ed McMahon
A professional laugher. What’s all that about?
Bob is still alive this isn't the Letterman Channel?
_this is my brother Darryl_
This interaction between Johnny and Newhart went well, but about 6 or 7 years earlier it got quite testy. Johnny seemed to take offense to something Newhart said before the show opened, something about not calling Newhart on immediately of Carson's opening monologue went poorly. It didn't go well between the two at times.
It's odd that he didn't recognize the theme song from his own show.
RIP. last of the great comedians
Oh, look, it's Obi-Wan.
20 years later, same curly joke....
