I got that book from my library and I enjoyed it! It's more conversational in tone compared to other nonfiction books, which makes it easier to read imo. However, I think that means it also wasn't as full of hard facts as I might have wished.

Thanks for another great installment! Just with regards to the dichotomy of reading vs knitting, particularly for a real book (as opposed to kindle) if you've got some easy knitting, I really enjoy my book gimble so I can read and knit at the same time! Hope progress is made on whatever you choose to work on 🙂

I am knitting the Winter Lights Shawl in Cool Woolings florescent yarn 😮😮😮😮 I am loving the construction. Haven’t picked up any crochet for ages, too in with the knitting. As you say, it will all get dobe😂
Well done you with your draw, pat yourself on your back, well done. I'm just finishing the Toft Jacquard bird, then butterfly and ladybird to follow. I've also got the aster bird to do too. Toft gets us doesn't it !!! Sian from Wrexham 😊

Congrats on the Pride draw! I thought 500 was low, but wow! Maybe hit 10K subscribers AND 10K for the draw. How cool would that be? I'm guessing your secret project is related to an email that I had this weekend about a MKAL that starts in July. MC + 3 CC? (wink wink) Can't wait to see yours.
Another great video Martyn and WOWSERS!!! That's an incredible amount of money for charity too! I'm having to wait til payday to enter but will be putting an alarm on my phone to remind me to do so. Looking forward to seeing more! Oh and is the yellow yarn FOLK by any chance???

Hi Martin, ❤️ your gradient shawl. Mine is in blues, with a touch of sparkle on the last section - ready for blocking. Regarding your dropped stitches - I just put a safety pin through the tightening hole in the end of the needles. One pin can go through both needles 😃
Love the catch-up - ohhhh test knitting Stephen’s summer sock mystery? It was so much fun to see yours from last summer. Looking forward to hearing more about it when the time comes. SO happy to hear the stretch goals keep getting surpassed - no better cause.❤

Hiya Martyn. I love your videos. Currently, I have just over 20 hours into knitting a marled Bluebird scarf (a free pattern on Ravelry by Breean Eylse Miller, using two sock yarns from Expression Fiber Arts that pair beautifully. One is a tonal lavender and the other is a variegated that has the same lavender color in it. Also, on the needles is the second wing for my first Emotional Support Chicken, but I haven't really worked on it since the scarf is taking up my free time attention. It's great that your Pride Draw for Pride Month is doing so well. Congratulations!

I am working on a long awaiting wip, the Vanilla Affogato which was put aside last fall because of gift knitting, and then baby knitting. I wanted to wear it this spring, but weather is getting warmer, At least it will bw finished for next fall. As you say, it will all get done ...
I found your book as an audiobook. Maybe thats an option. I listen to books a lot while crocheting.

Oh my goodness! Thanks for flagging that, TH-cam does it automatically and usually it’s 1 or 2, but for some reason it did 8 on this one!! I’ve just updated it and changed the option back!
