I just saw Philips get torn apart; his blood splattering the walls, his guts in a crimson pile on the floor, his brain matter scattered across the entire hallway. I didn't know what the fuck was going on, as the sit rep for this mission was as vague as they come...but I had to keep pushing on since evac was only going to be at 22 hundred, and on the other side of the compound. I ran through the hall, almost slipping on the slickness of Philip's remains and then forced the bile back down my throat. I turned the corner and I saw it...her...whatever it was, the little girl, framed in fire and screams coming from...all around her. I felt a burning sensation in my left hand so I brought it to my face and froze as I saw my glove melt away, and soon enough, my flesh. I saw the bleached white bones sticking through the gooey flesh and I then started screaming. 3 years of training and another 7 out in the field and I get wasted by a little girl. UGH, FINE!"

I liked Fear 3. But it's my least favorite Fear game because they focused too much on making the action kick ass and awesome that they forgot to put in any scares. The suburb level was the best in the game because it felt somewhat spooky with the cult shit. The first few levels felt like call of duty.
This game looks bad? Dude, it has dynamic lighting, working reflections AND is balanced for lean, something that a decade later is hard to find.
Not to mention, you can shoot grenades when you're in slow-mo.

Reasons why FEAR is fantastic
1. The AI is so good I was able to trick/stealth/silent takedown my way through about 2 hours without firing a shot
2. Throwing a grenade in slow mo at a soldier behind a desk for him to accept his fate by yelling "OOOOHHHH SSSSSHHHHHIIIIIIIITTTTT" and cower down
3. A gun that sheletonizes people
4. The rail/harpoon launcher
5. Super fun and effective slide and jump kicks

It's generally considered a faux pas to use wireless anything on PC gaming, since wires prevent any loss in information being sent, while wireless can be subject to interference.
Less important for controllers, but when a mouse is recording and sending movement data thousands of times a second, and slight loss can be detrimental.
The way he just now found out that wireless begets latency issues kills me.

F.E.A.R's has to be there next to Half-life's. So meaty. So fulfilling. How can you not love it?
Yeah, running slow mo to enemies and blowing them into red mist with the shotgun was so awesome and satisfying
Halo 1's shot gun and Doom 2''s Super shotty/Doom 1 hot gun, as well.
It's a damn good shotgun, right in the top five list with Halo 1's shotgun which had an absurd kill range that's probably three time most other shotguns in games. They had to nerf the H1-shotgun to make it fair for the enemies.

Best part: When Pat blew himself up and Matt's laugh gave me life.
Pat does a great job of also showing off the enemy A.I in his own special way.
They communicate to each other, flank you, regroup at cover and more.
No charging in blindly. No easy to fool guard sights. No guard body pooling.
They gave 110% in trying to kill you. So much fun to fight.
Oh my, you did the original F.E.A.R.. I'll be honest, I'm a bit sad you guys will probably never do Extraction Point, in my personal opinion that was the best slice of horror to come from the series.

AestheticGamer personally mine is project origin but I will say extraction point is my personal favorite of the vivendi timeline (also I will kinda say that I want both timelines to continue because the entire series should have gone on a little longer and it shouldn't have ended with that shitty online game)
One of two Expansion Packs for the first F.E.A.R. game. It's hilariously uncanon, but in my opinion again, the best slick of horror that came out of the franchise. Has some hilariously over-the-top deaths and well-done creepy moments.
AestheticGamer Even outside of horror, the DLC'S are very underrated. The pacing is better than any Fear game, & the sequels changed so much the DLC'S feel kinda faithfully special to the orginal mechanics. Being it took everything that worked about the orginal great game, just tweaked & expanded on what worked

Not enough good things can be said about FEAR or its gameplay. It just did so much right.

Silent Hill 3 still holds up pretty well, it looks 10x times better than the shitty newer ones and it actually makes me scared.

I love this game so much. It was one of the reasons why I bought an EAX audio card few years ago. The other reason is Painkiller. You gotta hear how sweet is the sounds of gunfire and shell casings echoing with EAX.

The most impressive and disappointing fact about this game is that still to this day, has the best responsive enemy AI of any shooter.

FEAR is still on of the best shooter horror games in my opinion it actually created a good creepy environment unlike modern games and the later fears that just had the scares
