  • Giving you the off road report on a classic 2000 Honda Rancher 350 4x4, with the incredibly simple and reliable manual foot shift transmission. This video is a used buyers guide action report on the Rancher from 00-03. The Honda (Fourtrax) Rancher 350 lineup began in 2000 and this platform ran through 2006 with a cosmetic overhaul in 2004. These Fourtrax Rancher 350 are getting harder to find in good condition. The mechanics on the drive line remained unchanged from 2000-2006 a testament of getting things right the first time!

    Just bought an 02 low miles and in great condition. Perfect for my property up north for use in the woods gathering firewood.

    It makes me sad the world has changed this much that we are referring to regular four wheelers as foot shifts now.

    Is the electric shift a potential problem? I read the comments. Two men have problems with the electric shift. Is this common?

    • @everythingatv-utv-reviews3565
      @everythingatv-utv-reviews3565  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Page, that's a great question. The electric shift is nice and makes the ride less taxing, but there is more room for problems. The biggest issues I've seen is the indicator on the rear of the engine and shift buttons going bad, mostly due to water. Personally I wouldn't be afraid to purchase an electric shift if it's been taken care of.

    hey bud awesome video i want to trade for one of these the motor sounds like it has a tick do they all or it there something wrong?

    • @everythingatv-utv-reviews3565
      @everythingatv-utv-reviews3565  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jagger, thanks for your comment. It's very common to hear a slight ticking sound coming from the top end. It's not unusual to see lots of hours on these atv's and the valves having never been adjusted. Most will not take the time to do the adjustment until they notice a ticking, loss in performance, backfiring, hard to start, etc. Here is a playlist which includes how to adjust the valves. th-cam.com/play/PLOqvKi40if-IeBqpC64492GB40WC2jTvL.html

      Sounds like a nice setup, those Dirt Devils are a great tire and underrated in my opinion. Had a set on a 450 Foreman years ago and it hooked up great.
