Austin was the only one in the real music studio along with his then Girlfriend (now his Wife) and he is singing this to her. That's why he has that love-sick flirty look in his eyes. The rest of the crew were in their makeshift studios at home. If I'm correct it was all put together by the guys. The 6th member of the group Darren.
Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. I think it is also better than Michael Bolton's version. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. Drummers have often commented on just how realistic his sound is. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.
Great reaction. This was done during lock down so that is why the rest of the guys were on screens behind Austin. Those looks he was giving the camera were for his girlfriend (now wife) Amberly. She was in the studio next to the camera as he was singing. Austin has released an original called "Hers ain't Mine" which has Amberly in it. they are so cute together. Some time you need to check that out as well, its so funny!
This was filmed during Covid. I've always loved the late Percy Sledge's original and I think they did it justice. The writer of the original had been through a bad break-up and wrote "I gave you everything I had". Austin's (now wife) Amberly was in the studio (that's who he's looking at) and he sings "I'll give you everything I've got". Thanks for playing this & your comments.
Headphones are a must for the acappella groups to hear the bass. Especially the deep deep notes from Tim Foust. Check their “Your Man” or “You’re a Mean One Mr Grinch” MV for more lows. Austin is so good, and has a number non-acapella music videos on his channel. More HomeFree and more AustinBrown would be appreciated. 🙂
It’s a great rendition!! Austin (lead here) and Adam (beatboxer) killed it. The boys harmonies are excellent too. This was during Covid so I thought the tvs were clever. They have such good music. Try Helplessly Hoping, I Can’t Outrun You, How Great Thou Art, Mary Did You Know and they have a new Christmas album out…it’s great! I subscribed and you have a wonderful Christmas!!!
I think it's a matter of being heard. Independent artiats have almost zero chance of being heard on radio, for example. With Austin, it's a case of once heard, permanently smitten and in fact he has over 2k members of his fan group. He's added about 100k subs on YT in the last year and has had a viral hit , and is now starting to appear as guest artist for some big names.
LOL This is an overwhelming performance. We all had that same reaction. Love it, Teddy. Xmas time try a couple of xmas songs by these guys. original. Snow Globe, and their best arrangement Do You Hear What I Hea
Check out Home Free and Tim Foust (Bass singer) singing the lead on Randy Travis' (famous country singer) "Home Free - Forever and Ever Amen" - the harmonies will blow you away when wearing the headphones! Enjoy!
Austin (the one who is singing) has his girlfriend just off camera and he said that he was singing to her. I love these guys and I especially love their song "BUTT'S MEDLEY". If you have not seen the video you have to check it out!!
Austin is an amazing talent. He is no longer with Home Free and is pursuing a solo career. He has his own YT channel with covers and originals. There's not a bad song on there, but to get a taste of his versatility check out his cover of Unchained Melody and his original song Hers Ain't Mine.
Here's Home Free singing "Home Free - Land Of The Free" I believe it is on Austin Brown's property.... great video of a bunch of guys who are having fun and not in a studio.... enjoy!!!
His voice has been far busier as a solo artist. Check out his originals and covers. He's starting to appear as guest artist to big names and has an album out in the spring. The group have not behaved well towards him, making him leave earlier than agreed and basically writing him out of their history. He's well out of all that.
Yes back again Ted homefree good group try there version of End of the road Boyz to men .also any pentotonix sounds think Evolution of Michael Jackson by PENTATONIX
Unfortunately, Austin decided to go in a different direction. Fortunately, he was replaced with another awesome singer -- another Adam. (Actually, "replaced" isn't the right word. I mean, how can THAT be replaced? But the new Adam is just as good, just in his own way.)
You make it sound like Austin joined the priesthood or something lol - when he finally did what he should have done years ago and went solo. He had a viral hit last year and released two recent MVs to add to the long list of originals and covers.
Nice reaction. If you need some good homefree Christmas songs check full of cheer, check out do you hear what I hear, Grand MA got ran over by a reindeer, snow globe.
great review! welcme to the Home Free world. You have a lot more flabbergasting to do - Austin Brown, tenor lead in this song, is great, but eeveryone else is too. matched by They do many things in many genres, all great. For a Soul thing to listen to is their cover of Boyz II Men "End of the Road": th-cam.com/video/-lCRFAFtj-A/w-d-xo.html which features the other tenor Rob Lundquist. A very powerful cover of Dire Straits "Brothers in Arms: features bass Tim Foust and baritone Adam Chance: th-cam.com/video/_ChD2WjD2tY/w-d-xo.html. React to them doing, "Listen to the Music". It's a "Must Hear", one of their best!
Austin killed this. His voice was perfect for this. I'm a new sub here for all the Home Free reactions. I love this group

What a voice. Austin Brown is the bomb. I am surprised that he doesn’t have more followers as an independent artist.
