I'm 53, also a musician and have lost count of the amount of live shows of all different genre, that I've seen from the 1980's up until recently; My mum loved Tom Jones when she was a young lady in the 1960's, so I took her to see him a few years ago, despite being in his 80's, he far outshone many of the big artists I've seen in the past 40 years, and still does all his funky moves! a true gentleman too.

Tom had his own show. I remember watching it with my very shy and conservative great Aunt. She adored Tom Jones! She would comment on how handsome he was, which was so out of character for her! She would smile every time he sang and comment on how good he looked in his clothes! I saw him in concert about 20 years ago. I took binoculars and watched him as the sweat trickled and rolled down his neck! I realized exactly how my Aunt felt...all those years ago!!!

Last time I missed until him he was doing some coaching on the voice and I heard him do a duet with one of the contestants that was really good and he did a song or two with Jennifer Hudson I think on The voice... Plus there's a couple of episodes of The voice where the other three coaches were trying to get him to sing and he'd pick like three or four songs and he would just sing them on the stage, he's still got it😊❤ Then there was a song that he did 'Sex Bomb' with Helene Fisher live.. When he came to America from Wales I think he was impressed with Elvis Presley they were about the same age and came out about the same time I think and then he got an invitation from Elvis Presley to come to him and he couldn't believe it and they got to be really good friends... I think for both of them if you read their stories the popularity, the fame, the money, the the women fans who adored them went to their head too quick... And both of them basically kind of lost the love of their life Priscilla for Elvis and Linda for Tom through their music and their popularity and the infidelity drinking drugs both of those men's life story is very interesting and sad....

NEVER GOING TO FALL IN LOVE AGAIN in 1967 Lonnie Donegan gave his 1962 hit to Tom Jones who made it his own. The first episode of the British version of THE VOICE, a young man who was singing caused Tom to turn around and when questioned said his name was Peter Donegan. Lonnie’s son. They sang the song together so beautifully that Peter’s mom was crying. The audience cheered!!!

Sir Tom Jones has been a judge on either The voice or X Factor. Often, he will join the singer and do a duet together!!! Also, the other judges sang together and one show he sang whatever the audience wanted him to sing or fellow judges wanted him to sing!!! For Sir Tom's 80th Birthday, one of the judges arranged for Stevie Wonder to be put on the large screen!!! Stevie began to sing "it's not Unusual" the wished Sir Tom a "Happy Birthday"!!! In the earlier years, they were on stage and both sang a recent song each had recently recorded for their own records. They taught each other the songs and then sang duets of both songs!!! I saw him live at a fair , of all venues. He performed along with the Fifth Dimension, and they sounded just as good live. I saw several acts on the Jersey Shore boardwalk before Dick Clark moved his show from Philly to California. I saw all of these shows with a front row view. This would never happen today. The Four Seasons played in my tiny Pennsylvania town in a building designed for our wedding receptions. Groups today would never sound as good or better than their recordings. No tickets needed, people could just walk up or show up. A different time. I was a very young teen, and didn't understand what a privilege that was,
I never knew how dirty "What's New Pussycat?" was until I saw a live performance of it from a long time ago. Good grief! There was a reason the ladies of that day were falling at his feet.
TV was LIVE back then and they had to make sure (as best they could) there were no mistakes. I LOVED live TV because you never knew what was gonna happen next. Stuff wasn't edited like today and mistakes were common on shows such as Laugh In, The Carol Burnette Show, The Ed Sullivan Show ... there was a ton of them!

Morning Krizz! Tom is simply a classic act all by himself. Please, do Tony Bennett with Queen Latifah. At 74, I grew up on the best music ever. Danced with James Brown in Macon Georgia. Listen to Otis Redding singing while he worked for my best friends Father. The Allman Brothers lived down the street from me in Macon. Little Richard, Brenda Lee….Capricorn Records…my mother worked hard to bring about the Harriet Tubman Museum in Macon before she passed. She was a Community Theater Director, who cast the first all black production in the 80’s.
