"IT WAS A SWORD" is probably one of my favourite Blue Diamond lines, I can't get enough of her voice actor and character.
and not only that, but do you remember when Bismuth said something important about the Sword? "i design this sword for a fair fight, it can cut through a gem's physical form in an instant! destroying the body, but never the gem"
@@supermemoluigi Yeah I'm aware, I'm more interested how Blue Diamond knew what a "Breaking Point" referred to, as that could have been the name of the Rose's Sword for all she knew. Yet she immediately knew that was a different weapon.

@@supermemoluigi Yeah! And yet Steven never brought that up despite Bismuth having said it directly to him! And hardly any of the reactors I watch bring it up, either! It nags at my brain every time and I feel like I'm the only one who remembers! Seeing this comment gives me peace of mind that I'm not the only one
As much as I absolutely hate Aquamarine, I'm really glad she gave that Topaz Fusion another chance, it's literally the ONLY decent thing that Aquamarine does
I forgot how good the trial was, the mistery of who and how killed pink diamond is great

Something to consider: Back in Bismuth's episode, she specifically said that Rose's sword would "destroy the form, but never shatter the gem" of gems hit by it, yet according to Blue Diamond/Homeworld's reports of the incident, Rose's Sword shattered Pink Diamond. Another thing that doesn't quite add up beyond what Steven's laywer said!
I always watch your Steven Universe reactions! But I never comment and I just have to say that I love how Steven's 'lawyer' had the idea that Rose might not have been able to shatter Pink Diamond. It is quite the pivotal point in the series!
I love how you guys feel so intimated by Yellow Diamond. She does have that aura, specially when doing things like poofing gems just by smashing them with her finger (even thou she can poof gems using her electrical powers)

One thing I didn't realize while watching the episode is that even though homeworld is a dictatorship they have a trial system used even for the most seemingly obvious cases like this one. They even have specialized lawyer gems. I wonder what kind of crimes are usually discussed in there
Even dictatorships have courts and legal systems for dealing with ordinary crimes...sure, for "political" crimes the alleged perpetrator will likely get a shot-while-trying-to-escape fate, but Gems have a certain degree of self-will that could cause conflict between individuals, and thus requiring a system to deal with such matters as are beneath the attention of the Diamonds.
The Zircons are voiced by Amy Sedaris. When you know it and hear their voices you know it’s her 😁
"but you're on our world now." is one of the coldest lines in this show istg
Just for you guys to remember this little detail, They say that Pink Diamond was shattered with Rose Quartz sword, however Bismuth said that Rose sword is only able to harm the physical body but never the gem
Which is what Steven should've brought up to the diamonds during the trial.

@@josephreinerth9152 Well I mean he both didn't get the chance to and is still pleading guilty regardless. As well as the fact he didn't start questioning it himself until his lawyer went off.
Granted bringing up the Breaking Point is an admission he's aware of what the sword is capable of.
The Trial of Rose Quartz is one of the heaviest lore dumps in the series, but no one is ready for the truth.💎

I knew the Zircons (the lawyers) weren't DeeDee Magno Hall (Pearl) so I looked it up... it was Amy Sedaris! I just keep finding people I know from other stuff who show up in SU. When I found out (after watching the show more than once) than Natasha Lyonne was Smokey Quartz I was like, come one really? How did I not know that? That's got to be last cameo I didn't know, right?? But SU got me again!
Oh wow, how did I not recognize that?

Amy Sedaris is the VA for both the defense and prosecuting Zircon lawyers.
I didn't realize how similar the music sounds to Ace Attorney in some parts of the trial.

Props to Blue Zircon; even if she was assigned to this case that she really didn’t wanna take, she still did her damnedest to defend Rose Quartz(Steven); and what’s crazy is her ending theory was half right! She was almost on the money there!
At the time The Trial first aired, I posted that I don't know whether Yellow Diamond had anything to do with Pink Diamond's shattering, but she sure acts like someone who's guilty of something.
Notice that Yellow doesn't even want a trial for "Rose Quartz" and suggests that she be executed as soon as possible with or without one, while Blue Diamond insists that the very entity whom she would hate most of all be given a trial and an opportunity to make a defense.
You should also notice the Pearls' alarmed reaction to Blue Zircon's question: "And where was her Pearl?"

Ngl, steven should've told topaz that they can be whatever they wanna be on earth, as part of the crystal gems when aquamarine was talkin about how they will be separated and shattered on homeworld
